   We loved the energy of this restaurant. We asked to be seated by the open kitchen so I could watch the dance of the chefs preparing the meals. It was truly enjoyable. We had two really delicious manhattans with a dozen oysters. The waiter heaped us pick out ones that were to our taste. They were fresh and delicious. We then had a small course of sushi with a very nice Sancerre that the somiliar helped us chose. The sushi was not great, the oysters were really not to our liking and the service was extremely slow.

   Was hoping for a quieter setting, since it's upscale and all, but people were chatting and lively so that's not bad either. Good spacing between tables, enough room to not feel cramped in yaletown, big plus.

   Best seafood in Vancouver!!! We shared the seafood tower with the third tier among 4 of us and it was the perfect amount. Ordered a few extras. The lobster was delicious!

   The evening started off poorly. We arrived early for our reservation and waiting over 20 minutes from our reservation time while people that arrived after us were seated before us. They ordered a bottle of wine while we waited, confused the order and over charged us, and would not remove the charge. Our waiter was great but when we spoke to the wine manager and the restaurant manager they were less than helpful. The food was very good but I was very disappointed overall. I was so looking forward for this dinner and am still upset about how the evening went.

   This is a great place! A fine restaurant with traditional service. The food is excellent and creative. I had tuna carpaccio and a simply superb scallop dish. One person can eat a first and a main course. The tuna was delicate and the salad portion tasty and Mediterranean like. The main was truly a creative blend of tastes. A very nice selection of wines..maybe the glass could have had a bit more volume (I bought by the glass). The waiter was a real professional. The chef ran a very visible kitchen and the staff seemed energetic and in good spirits - an extra added attraction for the meal. The room is supported by massive but simple cedar columns and the overall ambience is energetic (you will be run down by a waiter or busperson if you stand still) but very pleasant. This restaurant deserves international recognition - very special for Vancouver.
