   The good was excellent. Our server Jennifer was the best we have had in years. A stellar evening in every way.

   Very rarely am I unable to find some flaw at dinner outings, and this was one of those rare occasions (I don't remember how many years ago was the previous one). Oysters (what a selection!), shrimp, ceviche, sashimi--they were all so superb that we passed on the main entrees (only tried the char). Everything was outstanding--magnificent presentations and mouth-watering flavors. Extensive wine list. Try as I may, the only thing I can find to quibble about is the very limited selection of greens/salads. We sat outside and it was a beautiful evening. The service was outstanding. The warm chocolate cake divine. This place is expensive, of course, but worth every penny. My first 5-star rating in years.

   Went here on last night of honeymoon and the restaurant topped off our trip perfectly, as from the minute we walked in, to the minute we left it was all completely faultless. The service was top notch and the food was even better

   Best seafood I’ve ever had! Everything is fresh. Grilled lobster is absolutely the one you should try. Sable fish and oysters are also great! It’s pricy but is totally worth it.

   Great food and wine. Oysters and sashimi are very fresh and seafood is delicately prepared. The server was friendly and professional — not too many touches. Wonderful experience overall. I also got a cookbook based on the restaurant’s recipes as a souvenir.

   This spot is highly rated everywhere for Vancouver restaurants. That just goes to show you that it takes 7 years to gain a reputation and 7 years to lose one. Out of the 5 meals we had in Vancouver, this was clearly the most mediocre. The baked scallops were all Panko and few scallops, which was not a big problem because the few scallops I found had no flavor. The fruit and goat cheese salad was the highlight of the meal. The sablefish was tasteless and the seared tuna (big portion) was stringy! We did not stay for dessert.

   The main meals were excellent. We didn’t like the sushi, a halibut special and yellow fish tuna, they were a bit chewy.

    Blue Water Cafe is one of my favourite restaurants in Vancouver. The sushi is great and the seafood is excellent. The service is always good and I love their appetizers that are constantly changing.
