Amazing oysters, sushi, wine, seafood! Would definitely go back!!!
First time in Vancouver. Read a ton of positive reviews and everything lived up to the hype. From the moment we were greeted at the door we could tell we were in for great service. The drinks and food were equally delicious. Will come back every time we are in Vancouver. Some of the best fish we’ve ever had.
The food isnt amazing, I had the sole with farfalle, and it was quite bland, but still enjoyable. The creme brulees, on the other hand, were overly sweet that nobody could finish them. The service was fantastic.
Second time I have been to Blue Water Cafe. Exceptional food and service.
Very good food
The food was amazing and the service extremely friendly. I recommend a lot, but it’s a very expensive restaurant.
Our service was horrible. Our server had no personality and almost seemed annoyed with us. Made for an uncomfortable evening. The food was good.. sushi was the best. Entres were average.
Amazing evening. Loved the food and service.
Always amazing. Always.
Oysters, sushi bar and seafood are delicious.
The entire staff is so courteous and attentive.
Would highly recommend. Any day, for any occasion, special or everyday.
First time patrons, and a great dining experience. Expert service and some wonderful seafood, with an outstanding wine list to accompany, made our first real date something memorable.
Great food, very friendly , great service .
Amazing service. Food ok, overpriced
For sure one of Vancouver’s best restaurants. Love it!
The waiter serve us was not that good....too hurry to take away our food even we haven't finish it. Bad bad
In a city of great restaurants Blue Water Cafe would rival the best restaurants anywhere in the world. The fish was fresh, prepared in unique ways, and very tasty. Our waiter, Roddy, was knowledgeable and was able to guide us with some excellent choices. We had a memorable meal!
Muy buen lugar, cocina y tragos con personalidad, excelente servicio.
Very accommodating for my power wheelchair
Service is always impeccable
Felt like the experience was more about getting more drinks then it was about appreciating the food.
I’d come back here but I’d rather sit at the sushi bar to focus on the food.
Brent was superb.
We wait for Unsung Heroes every year. It is always interesting and amazing
Came here for on an early Monday evening for dinner. Setting and ambiance was nice and cozy and the whole restaurant was filled pretty quick. Ordered a couple of the most popular items off the Unsung Heroes menu. Food was average - most of its dishes were overly salted and flavour was plain. Only the sablefish was okay.
Wonderful anniversary dinner! Fantastic food, cozy vibrant atmosphere, great service and attention to details
I loved it! The food was amazing & you could tell it was fresh. Took my boyfriend here for his birthday. Definitely worth the price. The only thing is that it was quite noisy but that’s not enough to stop me from returning!
Had a friend's gathering at Blue Water Café and we tried the "Unsung Hero Menu". The food was tasty with a creative twist. Our favorite was the sea urchin hot dog. Our server was the highlight of the evening. He was friendly and attentive. He thoughtfully served a basket of bread while we were pondering on the various food options. He was there introducing the best dishes and refilling our water + bread whenever needed. We felt well cared for, and he made our evening extra special and pleasant. Highly recommended for the outstanding customer service, the great dining selection and wonderful ambiance.
Each course was authentic and original.
Staff was delightful and professional.
Fantastic food and awesome service! Great atmosphere. Vibrant. Great vibe.
Took my parents who were visiting from out of town to this restaurant. Despite it being a Tuesday evening, the restaurant was full, and still they were able to accommodate our reservation and special requests without question. The server was very knowledgeable about the menu, whether it was regarding the main courses, oyster selection or wine options, and she was extremely attentive. The appetizers and oysters came quickly; however, while our main courses had a delay due to a large party whose orders came right before ours, the chef did give us some very tasty amuse bouches at no additional charge to tide us over while we waited. Would definitely recommend and visit again.
Last dinner of the Trip....excellent food/service
We went to sample the’Unsung Heroes’ menu, as we do every year. It was outstanding. The service was excellent and our server, Kimberley, charmingly looked after our every need.our only problem is that my husband is very hard-of-hearing and the noise level sometimes defeats him. Nevertheless, Blue Water Cafe remains our favourite restaurant for a fun evening and unsurpassed food and service.
This place was outstanding! By far one of the best meals I have ever had. The service was amazing, the food was incredible. Had the Sashimi platter and Seafood tower. The presentation was fantastic and the food was like butter!
As for the service, every one from the bartender, the server and the hostess were perfect. And to top it off the ‘maitre d’ ran out in the slushy rain at 11pm to hail us a cab! This restaurant is simply perfect!!!
Always a good meal
food was very good
Classic Vancouver seafood. The Unsung Heroes menu in February is one of the best dining experiences in the city. Extremely good wine selections and the cocktails are some of the best in the city.
Great experience. Just be careful if you order a martini. Twice the price for martini 2 oz as advertised on the menu. Bit of a surprise to find a $34 drink charge
What an amazing dinning experience, top notch everything!
Always a great time there staff is top notch and so is the food
The restaurant was a "must experience" on our list of dining options during our visit to Vancouver and we were not disappointed. The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. I look forward to dining at this restaurant again.
Service was excellent with great recommendations for wine pairings from the wait staff. Chefs special “unsung heroes” were unique and provided great unexpected tastes.
