Sirloin steak was requested to be medium rare was medium well and grisly We split the bill with a our table partners. You charged me for the complete bill plus my half. I called yesterday to complain was told I would be called back. Hadn't happened yet. Needless to say I will contest the bill with the credit card company. John Crilly. 7707137026
We had friends visiting from out of town and decided on The Blue Spruce because of its cozy cabin feel. The food is good and the wait staff is personable.
We were in Frisco for our 40th wedding anniversary from Texas! We ate at the Blue Spruce Inn on our 1 week (during our honeymoon), 20th anniversary, and now for our 40th! Awesome first two visits! We were quite disappointed this trip. Service was great! Our server, Calvin, was wonderful! My husband's prime rib was good, but not great. My medium filet was a little dry and overcooked. My lobster tail was mushy and turned my stomach with the bite! They took $10 off my dinner. We also got our dessert (creme brûlée...good) complimentary because of our anniversary. Probably won't return...so sad!
You can count on the Blue Spruce to give you dependably good food. I've been coming here since the 1980's. Especially like the steaks and the red trout.
For many years we have dined at the Blue Spruce on many special occasions including my birthday on July 31. We have introduced many friends to this wonderful restaurant that offers great food and great ambiance, no background music or loud people. It is quiet and no matter what you order it is always excellent.
We were a little concerned at first because there were some horrible reviews online at Google Maps; our fears were definitely unnecessary as the service was excellent and the food was equally awesome. We will definitely return there and recommend it to our friends and family.
The Trout was amazing! we were a party of 5 and everything was just delicious.
Server was good although first course came before the drinks. Server blamed on bartender. Food was mediocre at best. Scallop Tostada was clunky. Prime rib was fatty. Red trout ok. Overall, was overpriced for the fare. Best asset was the quiet ambiance.
