Amazing food every time! Amazing service also! Highly recommend!
Very good food, as always! Small menu with interesting items, they do a great job. It's small so I always recommend reservations, but worth it.
Truly wonderful food and service. The dishes were prepared with care and our server was attentive and thoughtful. Thanks guys!
The burger was the best burger I’ve had in a long time.
It is the perfect neighborhood restaurant with good food, great service, and a wonderful neighborhood atmosphere. I always look forward to dining at BS!
Great creative menu and tasty food, great friendly, efficient service. Cheerful decor. Great location. An asset to Portland's cuisine scene.
We had a delicious meal. I don’t usually order chicken out but for some reason decided to do so. It was the best chicken I’ve ever had! Green olive, mushroom and artichoke Raghu was amazing! The pot de crepe for dessert was perfect. Friends had scallops, steak, cauliflower and risotto. Everyone left happy and full! We’ll be back.
Didn't even have to open the menu, trio of dips and ragu of the day for me, delicious! Service was fantastic as always and the martinis were perfect!
Ways have a good meal here...quality and prep always consistent
ALWAYS love Blue Spoon. Never ever fails! What I love is that it's not the hippest best food trend. It doesn't need to be!! It's just damn good.
A belated Valentine’s Day dinner. The evening was perfect at the Blue Spoon as the opening cocktails, appetizer, entrees and desert were all fantastic. We’ve dined here several times and have never been disappointed. The service and ambiance are always top shelf.
This is a small, intimate space - but the care taken in the preparation of the food - from appetizers to main course to dessert - is outstanding! I would highly recommend dining here, not only for special occasions, but for a lovely evening meal after the theater. I have dined here several times, and there has never been a disappointment in either food or service. Highly recommended!!
We came up to Portland from Boston for an afternoon show and had a lovely meal afterwards. Excellent food and service. We would definitely go back!
We had a fabulous supper.
The mussels were very good...especially sopping up the sauce with bread and butter! I had the ribeye but was so stuffed after a couple glasses of wine and mussels (with bread and butter), I couldn’t really enjoy it. This is the 2nd time we’ve been to the Blue Spoon and enjoyed ourselves both times. Tiny place so reservations are usually your best bet.
Cozy spot, great for quiet conversation while dining. Good beer choices on tap. Food was tasty and fun and service was great.
Excellent, excellent service plus excellent food!!!
The menu doesn't change much over time but one of the main entrees (ragu) is on a rotation so there's often something new to try and the trios of dips are always full of fresh ideas.... The food is consistently yummy, service is consistently efficient, friendly, fun and lovely, the small room atmosphere is always energetic, cocktails are great, Blue Spoon is consistently one of the neighborhood destinations for us and never disappoints.
Dinner with friends before a performance at Merrill Auditorium. Meals were outstanding and don’t miss the flan.
This is another of our favorite restaurants. Small, cozy and across the street from The Good Theater. Never disappoints...
Cool place and great food for brunch
Blue Spoon is an adorable, quiet spot with great service. At Sunday brunch, we got the cornmeal pancakes and capicola sandwich. In both dishes, the ingredients were high quality and delicious. I would definitely recommend!
They used to have a great burger. It was different and very disappointing : small bun, overcooked, expensive
ALL GOOD .... BUT FREEZING IN DINNING ROOM .....FREEZING
Very comfortable space. We went for Saturday Brunch with another couple from the neighborhood and had fun and great food. Adding to the experience was attentive service and awesome music playing in the background. We love the place and the team takes great care of us.
Great service and food. A Gem. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Third time at this restaurant and the food has been phenomenal every single time. Service on our second visit wasn't great however, this time was much better. Great happy hour specials on wine and beer. I recommend the scallops and braised pot pasta! Will be back.
Very nice waiter, and good food. Yum yum in my tum tum
Perfect meal for a cold winter night. We all ate the ragu, which was delicious.
Excellent service and delicious food!
Blue Spoon is my favorite spot for special get-togethers. Delicious food in a cozy atmosphere with service that is "just right."
Charming, friendly small restaurant with well-prepared seasonal food.
Great time, great food, great service. In and out in time to get to the theater.
Wonderful dinner, very pleasant waiter, food was exceptional, will definitely be returning
Love this place - so reliable, so friendly and always delicious. They have a shortish menu with sophisticated but straightforward food, and they do everything on it beautifully. I've only had lunch there (several times), but I should try dinner. Oh, and the room is terrific too. Intimate and cozy with great windows looking out on the street.
Wonderful, tiny restaurant. Amazing food. Great service. Tables are close together but there are not very many in the tiny space. It is wise to make a reservation.
Superb service: quiet and classy. Always a wonderful experience
The Blue Spoon is a favorite. I often order the steak salad, and although the ingredients change frequently the salad is always delicious. This time it was made with kale and greens mix that was not good, primarily because the kale was so tough. I regularly eat salads with kale, but usually a younger kale is used. I should also note that there wasn't much to the salad and it was bland. Other ingredients were definitely needed. I hope that the ingredients for the steak salad will be changed before I return.
I had dinner with a friend Friday 12/1/17 at the Blue Spoon before a show at The Good Theater across the street. I eat there frequently and always enjoy it. It is small and cozy and the staff is excellent. The service is prompt and friendly and the food excellent.
As we had a 5:00 reservation it turned out that there is a happy hour before six. We each got wine for only $4, and mine was that night’s sample, which was very good.
I recommend the Blue Spoon wholeheartedly and intend to return there often in the future.
Everything was really wonderful. Service was super friendly and the food was fantastic. Only complaint is that that bleu cheese toast is too good and now I don't want to eat anything else.
