We have fun in the kitchen, but we also couldn’t be more serious about what we do. That’s why we get our goods from the very best: Stonecipher Farm, , Valley View Farm eggs and meats, Archer Angus beef, and Broad Arrow Farm pork.

Weekend trip to Portland. Great place to eat away from the hustle and bustle. We walked from our hotel- 15 min walk on a beautiful night. Wouldn’t have found it without the help of Open Table and the good reviews. With Covid making a reservation is a must anywhere. Will definitely come back! Food and service amazing
First time there, the food was excellent. Wine was also good, dark quiet and romantic date.
Short walk from our house, we will definitely be back soon.
will say the paper covering the table was too long and I almost spilled my wine thinking the table was bigger, but I folded it down and it was fine .
Once again a perfect night at the Blue Spoon. From the drinks to the quality of the food and the great service everything was spot on!
casual and excellent, away from the hustle of down town
Our first time out with friends, post- COVID-19 in over a year and it was a wonderful meal.
The service was very professional but friendly, and everything was served very promptly.
We shared a delicious bowl of mussels to start and everyone wanted more grilled bread to dip in the garlicky, buttery sauce. Our server did bring more bread on request. Everyone loved their entrees, from crisply grilled cod on a bed of white beans, to the fettuccine with artichokes and a lemony sauce. We topped it off with pot de creme, very creamy and chocolate. A perfect meal. Thanks Blue Spoon for weathering the rough winter. It’s nice to dine out again!
Great spot for outdoor dining, took the in-laws here for dinner. The mussels are the best we’ve ever had.
Warm, soft mid-spring early evening dinner out .. Blue Spoon did not disappoint .. menu offered was varied (delicious), good drinks and the staff could not have been more accommodating .. looking forward to summer/seasonal/year round fare in Portland again.
Mussels were half undercooked.
Drinks and entree were great. Should’ve had them hold the steak slightly closer to the fire but I ordered rare. I got rare.
No adjustment was made to the bill re the mussels until I asked... and then it was.
We’ll be back. Nobody’s perfect.
Mother’s Day brunch. Everything was excellent: outdoor table, great server, delicious food. I hope Blue Spoon will do brunch every weekend. Cheers!
Sat outside for brunch in a beautiful late morning. Service was good, which often is not the case when sitting outside anywhere. Food was good and I’ve also enjoyed nice dinners here inside as well.
Always a good visit .
Outside seating just a tad cold, can't blame them. Food was good but not great. Service was awesome.
The cod was divine. The tartare was wonderful. My wife raved about the carrots. Great dinner.
Outdoors was pretty chilly, but we knew that going in- a most delicious dinner and server!
Nice to see this place open for indoor dining. Fewer tables=fewer menu options, however. Understandable but, still, regrettable.
As always, Blue Spoon does not disappoint! We went to celebrate a family birthday. Great service, delicious food and cozy atmosphere made our special night out perfect. We’ll be back!!
Blue Spoon was delicious and my friend and I truly enjoyed our meals. The staff was attentive and kind and our waitress was incredibly sweet and accommodating. As a vegetarian, and not seeing anything I liked on the menu because the options were limited she offered and went out of her way to have a dish of fettuccine pasta in a cream sauce with peas and asparagus specially made for me by the chef. The restaurant itself was cozy and quaint and the ambiance was very relaxing, with dimmed lights and every table decorated with a fresh tulip. We hope to return to Blue Spoon sometime in the future and would definitely highly recommend this lovely space!
Another great evening of drinks & dinner outside at the Blue Spoon on Munjoy Hill! So pleased to see that this restaurant has survived the pandemic and now with the weather improving we will be returning more often. The drinks were superb and dinner exceptional. Cannot go wrong at the Blue Spoon.
A perfect place for an intimate group dinner and drinks.
This was our first visit to the blue spoon and the food was really fresh and different, we loved it! We had the Cod with aioli and the Hanger Steak; starters of Braised Carrots and charred Caesar. We will definitely be going again; everything was so good!
This was our second time back. The food is excellent, the drinks well-made too. Blue Spoon has unexpectedly taken the #1 favorite restaurant spot for both my husband and I.
We had the charred Carrots and Chicken Liver Mousse for starters. For dinner, I had the Bavette Steak (wish their was a tad more turnip purée - my only critique). He had the Cod with white beans. Both top-notch. Don’t overlook the brownie sundae for dessert. It is so good.
Very charming place. Our first visits
The menu had something sure to please everyone
Cocktails and dinner were very well executed. Great flavors on the glazed carrots. Salmon and mushroom fettuccini
Earns a place on the rotation for Portland somewhat off the beaten track
Excellent, intimate atmosphere, great service and food was delicious!
Very special night at Blue Spoon. There are only a few tables available, don't go without a reservation. We stuffed beignets with pot de creme for an exquisite dessert.
Limited choices, but all tasty. Great service and recommendations from the server.
Great food, great, friendly service, clean and comfortable—what more do you need! One of the best in Portland. A little pricier, but worth it; high quality all around. Great date-night spot!
The Blue Spoon was wonderful. They were kind, high spirited and made lovely recommendations. I love that I was able to make a reservation and that I could find out their availability on their website. In this day and age it isn’t clear who is open for take out vs. sit in.
Wonderful Portland eatery always a great experience with amazing eats
Food is IMPECCABLE and the staff is delightful
Was in Portland for Valentine's day - as I'm not from Portland was happy to get a reservation, but had no idea what to expect. We absolutely loved it! Food was fantastic, ambiance was perfect for a romantic dinner, staff were exceptional. I highly recommend!
Amazing, highly recommend, very nice location, food and service.
The ambience was wonderful, but the food, the food was delicious!! Can not wait to go back !!
Excellent service and delicious entrees !! Covid compliant, tables well spaced!!😷
Fab fab fab need I say more?
The warm olives were amazing
Great dinner, we felt safe and the staff did an awesome job. The food was super and our server was also very attentive. I highly recommend Blue Spoon.
Have been to Blue Spoon many times over the past few years. Disappointed that they no longer offer wine time, but understand the sacrifices being made due to the pandemic. However, the food felt expensive given the quality of food delivered, and the lack of volume in the restaurant. The vegetables in the braised short rib tasted undercooked, as did several of the appetizers. The heritage chicken was bland and chewy.
Our favorite restaurant in the east end. Great food & service, as always.
Food was great. Service was awesome. In a Covid environment the restaurant felt very safe. Would 100% recommend and visit again
I liked the wooden structure better but was still grateful for the setup. The heaters could be a tad warmer as it gets colder but ultimately it was all perfectly fine.
Amazing—eat here! Order the chicken!
