We have fun in the kitchen, but we also couldn’t be more serious about what we do. That’s why we get our goods from the very best: Stonecipher Farm, , Valley View Farm eggs and meats, Archer Angus beef, and Broad Arrow Farm pork.

Charming neighbor spot with delicious food and excellent service.
We absolutely loved our dinner at Blue Spoon. We booked after receiving a couple recommendations from friends. All offerings were made onsite; components were house-made as well. For instance, the demi-glace for the Beef Wellington was rich and superbly house-crafted. Poached salmon was very tasty and perfectly cooked. The ricotta beignets with cherry jam was a lovely sharable finish.
Waitstaff were well-informed on all dishes and able to assist with selections based on dietary needs. The request for easily accessible seating was fulfilled. We will definitely visit to Blue Spoon again.... and again.
This is my dream restaurant. My husband and I wanted a quiet and romantic spot for New Years Eve. This was perfect. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and super helpful. The food was spectacular and the cocktails were delicious! Also, the prices weren’t outrageous either. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone and we will be coming back again on our next Maine visit.
One of the loveliest meals I’ve had in a long time. We had the Lobster Salad (special) to start, which was wonderful. The Mushroom Fettuccine and the Poached Salmon were our entrees, with the salmon being particularly excellent. We finished with the beignets, also great. Highly recommend!
We got the unlucky table by the door behind a curtain. It was further from other guests but the table was small. The food was good but I didn't feel like it was worth the price. The prices on the website were not up to date and we paid a few dollars more per entre.
Loved it! It is tiny and so it feels like you are in a very special neighborhood bistro. Food was excellent. Would absolutely recommend.
Excellent food, service
Great menu. Great service. Great food and drink.
Lovely food and restaurant.
The menu is amazing, and the atmosphere perfect. We came here for a pre-Xmas holiday dinner, and enjoyed ourselves so much! The chefs and staff were super-friendly, which made the evening exceptional!
Excellent service, delicious food well executed with good mix of flavors and textures. Cozy, neighborhood place.
What a fantastic place! Food was amazing, and they were very accommodating to a food allergy at the table. The only drawback is that it was VERY warm inside - but I think that is to be expected with the kitchen so close to the dining area. Next time we will be sure to wear lighter clothes. We would come back here again and again!
We love the Blue Spoon and have been there several times. This time we were a little disappointed in a few things: your amazing burgers weren’t on the menu; the cocktail selection was very limited; the waiter was not at all knowledgeable about cocktails. Otherwise, it’s always an enjoyable and personable place to eat.
Love this place
Excellent, look forward to going again soon…looking forward to it!
Wonderful ambience, great service and fantastic dinner!
Service was very good and thoughtful. Atmosphere is cozy and quaint. Food was good quality but nothing to write home about from taste perspective - fairly average.
A favorite neighborhood spot. The food is always outstanding and the service is great. Will go there often.
Very comfortable spacing, attentive staff, excellent food, not rushed - we were really glad we could get in.
First time visiting. Everything was amazing, from the ambiance, to the staff, drinks, dinner and dessert.. well done!!
Good food great staff and elegant ambiance
Wonderful duck ravioli the
We just about ran the entire menu of choices with our small group. Everything was amazing - cocktails, appetizers, entrees. They take great care with all elements of the experience. I plan to come back soon!
This is a tiny and lovely restaurant with a handful of tables and attentive staff. Unfortunately, the food was incredibly bland and overpriced. My french omelet was $18 and overcooked. The salad needed seasoning, acid, and texture. I really wanted to like it, but we were very disappointed.
Just what a neighborhood restaurant should be. Great food. Helpful service. A small room full of happy customers.
Food was delicious and service was great.
In spite of an equipment breakdown in the kitchen, they provided a beautiful and delicious meal. Blue Spoon is one of my favorite Portland restaurants. A side benefit is the ease of parking in the area.
We had a wonderful dinner. Really delicious creative special food, it is a small, cozy place with lovely low key vibe, warm pleasant service. We cant wait to return.
Excellent...as always. The Blue Spoon never disappoints and we will be back again!
Always love going to the Blue Spoon. The combination of very good good, varied menu, great atmosphere and value for your money can’t be beat!
Went here for an anniversary dinner and everything was absolutely perfect. Service, food, drinks, environment, literally everything. Cannot say enough great things about Blue Spoon!
Came here for a dinner on a quick weekend to Portland as a recommendation from our Air BnB host, and it did NOT dissapoint. Very quant location (like many restaurants in Portland) but the quality of the meals as well as service provided made this a stand out spot. The cod was baked to perfection and paired well with a spaghetti squash and roasted tomatoes, and the mushroom pasta was one I would love to have again and again. Beef tartare was beautifully presented and the fall salad was the perfect side to our meal.
The short ribs were the best I’ve ever had, and my mom still hasn’t stopped talking about her chicken entree. We will come back as soon as we can!
Wonderful ambiance, very cozy, neighborhood restaurant. The food was excellent, interesting, and creative. The service was perfect, and our server made great suggestions about wine and entree selections to us.
Loved this little quaint restaurant. Service was very attentive, food was hot and flavorful as well as the presentation. Highly recommend and will definitely return.
Intimate, a neighborhood gem. Outstanding wait staff, love the ambience. It's not home-cooking (much more), but if feels like home.
Everything was very good. Will go again.
Excellent menu with interesting and well prepared dishes.
We love this place and have for a long time! Food is creative and delicious—always. And the staff are kind, friendly people who seem to love what they are doing. This was our first in person dinner in almost 2 years. We felt so grateful just to be there and blessed by the delicious food and kindness.
