Food was delicious and a great variety. The only little negatives were the volume of noise and the waitress never came to refill my drink. Otherwise, it was a great experience.

My group went to The Blue Ridge to celebrate a birthday. It was gorgeous! The views of the mountains from the restaurant were phenomenal. The food was varied and delicious and the staff was exceptional. We will definitely be returning to The Blue Ridge soon.

The buffet is very good, as is the service and the view. The hotel itself makes the visit worthwhile.

Great food. Servers were attentive but you felt they were pushing you out the door around 8:30pm. Very loud talking and busting tables near us as we were enjoying dinner. It did not make for an intimate setting.

Food was lukewarm at best, also many items listed on website menu were not avail. Service was ok but not the quality I've experienced there before. Overall it wS just ok, not good or bad. But for the price it was a total disappointment, I probably won't go again.

Blue Ridge is always a great experience, and the view is amazing. The staff is also great...but if you are dining there in December, be aware of the $20 parking charge. I really don't understand why the resort doesn't validate parking if you have a dining reservation...even a 2 hour free parking with a dining reservation would be a huge step up. We did not know about the $20 parking fee, and even though I called and specifically asked for prices for the restaurant on the day that I went, it was never noted about parking. Neither did Open Table say anything on the reservation...I just think it's something worth noting, especially if you are literally only there for an hour to eat like we were. We unfortunately won't be back for holiday dining unless we plan on spending the whole day at the resort to justify that parking cost.

My husband and I both loved it here. I ate lots and lots of vegetables and he ate mostly meat. There were some unique dishes and everything was very good. Although dishes were not marked. "Gluten free" it is easy to tell what is and what's not. I asked the waitress if she had any gluten free bread and she came out with 2 delicious slices. I thought the only gluten free dessert was the creme brulee (amazing) but when I said the same to the waitress she brought me out 2 other desserts. I think this is a great value and we will definitely be back. We watched the sun set and can see the spa and golf course from our seats.

Some of the best shrimp that I have ever eaten. The shrimp and grit was so great, I would have thought I was in the low country. Kale Salad was wonderful. Desserts was small size, so you could get a taste of all, great idea! Over all great!

This is the third time we have done the Sunday brunch at Blue Ridge. The food is great and the views of Asheville and the surrounding mountains from the dining room are second to none. Come around 1 pm if you like a smaller crowd. When we are in Asheville we make it a point to do Sunday brunch here.

We were quite surprised at the cruise ship, all-you-can-eat feel of this restaurant. The food was delicious but we had no idea we'd have to face long lines to get food, a chaotic atmosphere and a standard resort dining area. We came for Sunday brunch and thought the setting would be a bit more quiet with higher quality lay out. If you are there to get your money's worth of food you will not be disappointed. The service was very good. We probably won't return to this restaurant but will consider others at the Grove Park.

As always, we had a wonderful time. I was really looking forward to the prime rib but I could not eat it because it was too rare and the carver said it was all rare. I cannot eat less than medium well, so I had to just walk away. Since we were paying that much money for what I thought I was going to get to eat, I went back and asked if there was any other station that had some that was more done. He said he would have someone put a piece back on the grill, asked where I was sitting, etc. After waiting more than 30 minutes, I just did without eating meat, we ate dessert and left. We will come back - we will just eat at another restaurant. Kathy Burrows

You need more options of meat. A lot of the same pastas in different stations. It has been better when we've been there before. When you charge $44/person you need to step up the options and taste in what you serve. The service was great!

It was disappointing. I've been before, so I had high expectations. The website is confusing, when looking at the hours of operation...Saturday lunch is not even an option. Since I had made a reservation at 2:15 on a Saturday, I thought I better call and find out a price and what kind of food we would be eating. I was told a price and that it would be a lunch option, since the breakfast stopped at 10:30. When we arrived, all the food was brunch type food...eggs, waffles, pancakes, muffins, bacon, sausage etc.....We did not want brunch. If we did, I would have come on Sunday as it is listed on the website for the champagne brunch. Please fix the grove park dining page. No where is Saturday lunch listed.

My family and I have been going to the Blue Ridge at the Grove Park Inn for years. Annually, we go to view the gingerbread houses and dining at the Blue Ridge is part of our special outing. Our service was excellent and we were able to dine beside the wall of windows as we had requested. The wait staff kept our drinks filled and the used dishes were bused away quickly. The food is always good and while there is usually some new-to-us food to try, there are always favorite foods, too. The salad bar has lots to offer and is kept fresh. The seafood bar is my son's favorite part of the buffet and he enjoys the endless supply of oysters, shrimp, horseradish, and more. Desserts are displayed well and the portions are perfect so that you can actually enjoy trying creme brulee, apple cobbler, pie, and fresh fruit. I would suggest the Blue Ridge to make the day perfect when visiting the Grove Park Inn.

I was afraid the $38 per person price was based solely on the beautiful view, but no! Every dish was delicious and as a whole it was well worth the price. We also saw the amazing top contenders in the Gingerbread competitions.

Our Sunday Brunch at the Blue Ridge Room was fun and delicious. Our server was exceptional. The food choices were excellent especially the strawberry shortcake station. We celebrated my wife's birthday and they responded with a creative cupcake. The price is high; however, we enjoyed our visit.

It had been 3 years since I dined at the Blue Ridge. Prior years I went at least once or twice per year. There were many more choices in prior years, ie: carving table had two meats this time one and no crepes which prior were a favorite. Desserts were all delicious! Parking has changed and there was a 20.00 charge for the 1 1/2 hours I was there. I spent 120.00 just to have lunch there. It may have been my last time there.

We booked lunch here so that we could enjoy the Gingerbread display. I was a bit shocked at parking being $25 for lunch (valet $25 and self park was $20 for lunch). The buffet was outstanding with anything imaginable. View was gorgeous, service wonderful, food was replenished quickly and the display was perfect. Although a pricey lunch, we enjoyed it very much.

This was a surprise Christmas gift to our moms- Biltmore- Grove Park Inn- etc...our service was subpar and I was very disappointed in the service we received overall. We were by ourselves for a long period of time in a dining room and the waiter asked if he could take a picture- we were grateful absolutely we said- the camera we gave him said something on it and he pushed a button and he took the picture. Our night went on ...we realized later when we went to take pics that the camera was full - we went home on Sunday and on Monday took the sims card to get developed and all pics had been wiped out. The waiter apparently erased all of her pics and didn’t realize what he had done. A bit upset - as you can only imagine- but we went on - I would suggest no one should ever hit any buttons on anybody’s camera. Bitter lesson learned - thank you for your time

I made this reservation asking for a window seat and told them it was my birthday. They put me in a corner seat the farthest away from the food that you could get with no view. It was SO cold I had to eat in my coat. The waiter was good and the Grove Park Inn is so festive for the holidays. The food is just so-so.

The food was amazing! We loved almost everything about this restaurant. The only things i would say that could be improved in some way is the layout of food is somewhat confusing, and not labeled, so you have to wander around a bit. I saw that some groups were being escorted in, and they were explaining what each room consisted of, as far as food. That would have been nice. Not sure if we should have requested that, or if the person who escorted us to our table just neglected to do that. Also, it would be nice if things had labels that are a bit bigger, and easier to read. Other than that, the food was absolutely amazing! We will definitely be back soon.

Seafood Buffet, the Friday evening after Thanksgiving:

I'm sure this buffet is always popular, but the crowd was quite lively the night after Thanksgiving. My party of 7 was separated into two- four top tables, which was fine, but we were seated in a high traffic area. That would've been fine too, but on one side of us was a party of about 20. They were quite loud, and that noise paired with the constant foot traffic behind us, made what was supposed to be a special family dinner out a high anxiety affair. However, the food was delicious! Crab cakes and fried shrimp were standouts. Don't miss the homemade riccota cheese. Just ask for an out of the way table if possible.

We have been going to the blue ridge dining room for several years now. We go to celebrate special occasions as well as date nights. This visit was our least favorite trip. We made reservations for 5:15 so we could watch the sunset. We arrived early to enjoy the resort. We arrived to the hall way of the dining room 20 minutes early. The hall was completely full. My husband went to ask if there was a different line for those with reservations and was told no just wait in line. We waited past our reservation time and missed the sunset because we were in the extremely long line.
Once we were finally being seated, we informed the hostess of my having a severe food allergy. In the past, they have been extremely kind, cautious and immediately suggested I not eat until I speak with a chef. This specific hostess replied to my allergy concern with "it's buffet and you know what you can or can't eat".... not exactly a courteous response! My husband informed her that in our past experiences they always have a chef speak to us so we do not miss something. She never responded. As we sat down she said I'll get a chef.
Our waiter was FANTASTIC!! His name was Stan. He was so kind, attentive and professional. We waited quite some time for a chef and Stan was very courteous in this matter.
Once a Chef came, he too was great. Very kind, professional and helpful. The chef and Stan were the best part of our evening. Other than Stan and the chef, this trip was very disappointing.

While everything was presented beautifully and had a gorgeous set-up for the Buffet, we were one of the last seatings for the night and many of the hot food items were running low or gone for the night by the time we had gotten food. But overall, I‎t was an amazing way to spend Thanksgiving, I would just plan to not have dinner so late next time.
