The brunch choices were amazing and the food was delicious overall. But many items were on the cold side and definitely detracted from the taste. Service was terrific. Bananas foster was so good.
Food was excellent! Just wish there were a bit more GF/DF selections.
Stan our server was wonderful and the food was great! My friend was disappointed the fried shrimp ran out and wasn’t replenished but I never noticed.
Great buffet! Spectacular view! Lisa was a great server. Looking forward to dining there again.
Jose did a great job and the food was good. Plenty to choose from.
Buffet was even better than we remembered
Fantastic experience as usual. The GPI never disappoints.
It would have been nice if there were more broiled fish items such as shrimp and scallops. At the price I expected more options both fried and broiled. We ate there 2 nights and there just weren’t many vegetables. The desserts were great but at that price you aren’t just paying for fancy desserts.
We bought a vacation home in Asheville several years ago. This was our first trip to see the beautiful Grove Park Inn and to eat there. The Blue Ridge Friday night seafood buffet did not disappoint. We were amazed at the waiter’s attention to detail through the meal. I dropped my spoon and was immediately supplied with a new one without even asking. The food was delicious, as well. We are planning on trying Sunday Brunch during our next trip to Asheville.
Brought the whole family for Easter Brunch. The amount of food on the buffet is massive, but it's just ok food. The view is fantastic. Our waitress was able to clear plates very well, but her personality was lacking. (With 20% added automatically she had no reason to work too hard). Go for the view, but I wouldn't suggest eating here.
Fantastic birthday dinner for father and husband. Everyone enjoyed it including toddler twins!
We had the Friday night seafood buffet and it was amazing. It’s around $50 per person but so worth the money. The view was spectacular and there are three rooms of food!
We went for the Sunday brunch and had a delicious meal. Took the kids and everyone found something they loved. It’s expensive, but worth it for a special occasion.
This brunch was delightful at the Blue Ridge dining room in the Grove Park Inn. Tremendous number of offerings with nice, attentive service.
Three rooms full of delectable food! We attended with people with various restricted diets and all were satisfied. It was a fun and relaxed atmosphere with beautiful views...who could ask for more? Will definitely return!
As NC residents and occasional visitors to Grove Park, the Sunday brunch has always been one of our favorite things. However our most recent visit did not meet those prior expectations. We were seated immediately at a table right at the windows with it’s outstanding view. Service was meticulous. The disappointment was in the food, especially the hot section. There were no fresh vegetables. Only starch upon starch. The prime rib at the carving station was very dry. The shrimp was good. All in all nothing stood out as special. Something we had come to look forward to at our previous visits. Probably won’t be back back .
Everything was amazing and delicious and fun. Wonderful selection of just about anything you could imagine. Worth every dollar!!
Great food and awesome service will definitely be back!
Great food, very nicely presented, great service, one thing that I noticed the selection of wine is ok , but a bit pricey
We always bring out of town guests for the beautiful views and wonderful food, and have never been disappointed. Our service this time wasn’t as good as usual, but still pretty good overall.
We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant. Beautiful presentation and wonderful variety of foods to choose from. Loved this place!
Wonderful food and great selection & variety. Love it each time we go.
Our server was superb!
Love this place!
Wife’s Birthday! Sunday Brunch was fantastic! Food and service, outstanding!
Weekend getaway trip with my daughter and her husband. They were celebrating their 1 year anniversary. The waitress surprised them with a special treat. Large variety of food to choose. Something for everyone!
Great food and service. Make sure you make reservations to avoid a long wait!
The staff was very attentive to our needs. The food was incredible! We would highly recommend a visit to their Sunday Brunch!
Food and service were great! Only complaint is alcoholic drinks were expensive. My glass of wine was $21.00, the bottle is $25.00 at a wine store.
Always great Food and Service at the Blue Ridge
You should make Reservation , So your not having to wait
We had previously dined here for Christmas Eve buffet, which had a great variety of seafood and was spectacular. So we returned recently for the Friday seafood buffet, which was no less impressive. So hard to be selective and not overdo it, but leave room for made to order dessert. That night it was Bananas Foster in addition to the ice cream station, strawberry shortcake station and many other cakes and pies. Great view. Great service. Great value at $44.
It was a great dinner for a special night. Food was wonderful and service was excellent.
Wonderful experience. Been coming here for years and hope to for many more.
We came to Blue Ridge for my husband's Birthday. It was wonderful. Our waiter was Stan. He was so attentive, helpful, and took such good care of us. He greeted us, with "Happy Birthday Sir," and wished my husband Happy Birthday again when we were leaving. We will definitely request his section the next time we visit.
The food was great... lots of variety, lots of flavor. The presentation was spot on, with definite attention to detail. Overall, great experience. We will be back.
This was our second visit to the seafood buffet, the food was honestly disappointing, service by our waiter was slow and the ambience was boring. Not worth the $. Next visit to Grove Park will not be to a buffet
Love their food and service. Great atmosphare. Spectacular view
We are locals so going to Grove Park is usually a special occasion for us. We love Blue Ridge because of the amazing views, terrific food and 5 star service.
I took my husband for his birthday and the whole experience was absolutely lovely
I reserved a table as a celebration of a friend's 50th birthday. When we arrived the hostess asked me to identify the birthday girl and yet her birthday was never acknowledged by anyone at any time. The ambiance and food were both outstanding, not to mention the amazing views at every turn. I would recommend The Blue Ridge for the views and food most assuredly. However, upon booking the reservation through Open Table, I was asked to provide a credit card, therefore leading me to believe that the bill for the buffet would be charged automatically. Upon completion of our meal as we stood to put on our coats, the waitress abruptly approached us regarding payment of the meal. Her voice was loud and her demeanor insinuated that we were trying to skip out on the bill. It was extremely embarrassing to me and my guests for the dinner, since she was so loud, everyone around us turned to look. It may be wise to add something that states you are holding the credit information only and that the dinner will need to be paid for after consumption. Hopefully, that will prevent others from experiencing a similar situation.
Having been to the Friday evening buffet at Blue Ridge multiple times in the past several years, I have to say I was somewhat disappointed. The quality of the food was not what I remembered; thus the reason I gave a 3 rather than a 4.
