Most awesome dining experience ever. Enjoyed spending our anniversary at your restaurant!
Friday Seafood Night doesn’t disappoint. Had a few friends from out of town. They had not experienced the GPI and seafood night. Dinner was terrific. We had a drink before dinner on Sunset Terrace. Followed by dinner with crab legs, shrimp, crab cakes etc. wait staff was very attentive. Bananas Foster and Key Lime for desert.
Took friends to great hall. Then in elevator to old section. Elevator attendant gave us an impromptu tour of historic section of hotel.
Again, great night!
Great time with friends. Everything was delicious, and so many options! We love going here fore special nights out, and will be back.
Great views. Food is abundant and the quality of it is okay. Enjoy visiting the Inn each time I go.
We have been to the brunch at Blue Ridge previously and LOVED everything about it. We couldn’t wait to come back which happened to be on St Patrick’s Day. Unfortunately, we were somewhat disappointed with the selection of foods served on that day with the Irish theme. We hope to return on another Sunday when the usual delicious selections will be served.
We went to the Sunday brunch. Very crowded. Food was mediocre but abundant selection.
This is a beautiful place to have brunch. The mountain view is amazing, the service is great, and the food is delicious. It's an expensive experience, but that's not a surprise, considering the elegant surroundings of the legendary Grove Park Inn. I especially enjoyed the seafood, the cheese blintzes, the strata, and the sausages.
The only reason for 4 stars is due to the price. Other than that, the food and the views were fantastic. The pastries, mimosas, and omelet were my favorite. Travel tip: don't eat anything for breakfast and hold out for the noon brunch. WOW! Such a nice spread!
Brunch was amazing! So much delicious food to choose from
From the food to the view to the service we could not have asked for more. Everything was first class. It was definitely the highlight of our trip. We will definitely be returning.
It was okay but the crab legs, though plentiful, did not make you want to eat them because they were very cold and the prime rib was sliced way too thin and it was very fatty.
Great buffet. Nice view
Excellent great food and service. Very good range of food and some unique items also. Would recommend to anyone. Our server was great!!
This place is a must visit - if only for the level of attentiveness of the wait staff. They were very friendly and helpful. If any of the wait staff saw me looking around, they asked if I needed something, they didn't ignore me and wait for my waiter to show up. My waiter surprised me with a lil birthday goodie, and it was yummy (a couple of macarons). The food is out of this world. If you cannot find something to eat, you haven't moved through all the rooms of the buffet line yet. The seafood feast on Friday night was expansive and yummy - my first time having crab legs and they were great! Seafood, steak, pork loin, and multiple side dishes. Saturday morning "Art of Breakfast" is out of this world if you are a breakfast fan. A room full of danish, donuts, pastry, bagels, breads and all the toppings including capers, smoked fish, etc. A room full of hot dishes from oatmeal or grits to a to-order egg dish. Just so good - come hungry, folks and tip your waiter or waitress!
Blue Ridge is all about the building and the view. The Grove Park Inn is a spectacular example of stone architecture. The setting and view are beautiful. We were there for dinner only and didn’t experience the spa etc but just walking from the entrance thru the lobby to the restaurant was fun. The seafood buffet was mediocre. Lots of options but none were special. If it weren’t for the setting the value simply wouldn’t be there.
We really enjoyed the evening! The food was delicious as was the ambiance!
This was the 32nd time we have celebrated our anniversary at Grove Park. We really enjoy coming there to celebrate. This year was great. Our server was Lisa, and she was excellent. The food was really good this time. A couple of years ago it was not. We would highly recommend Grove Park and the Blue Ridge Dinning Room.
Celebrated my birthday with my wife here. Great food, great price! Will be back!
Awesome. Perfect Service. The food and the service was impeccable!
Juan made my experience amazing! He went above and beyond to accommodate my dietary restrictions. Juan, alone, showed me more hospitality than all of my biltmore dining experiences combined. Truly impressed with the food and especially the service.
Great service and food
Fancy place but food unremarkable. Looked good but not much taste. Overpriced for quality. Might try breakfast sometime.
Blue ridge always satisfies me. The food ,waiters etc. Excellent food !
I wouldn’t recommend the Prime Rib night, but I would the seafood night. Prime Rib night didn’t have much meat options for the value of the food.
The food and service was superb as usual!
Beautiful Buffet crab legs were excellent all the seafood options were great
It has been about 5 years since we have dined with you for Friday night buffet. I was excited to eat at BR dining. Most of the food was good but the crab cakes were terrible. Dry, no taste, disappointing. I liked the fresh shrimp seasoned with bbq. The salads were great. The dessert was ok. Price went up, food quality went down in 5 years.
We were greatly looking forward to the seafood buffet on Friday night to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday and retirement. The service was excellent! Carlos could not have been a better server, he is the only part of our dining experience that we would give 5/5 stars. The food selection was good but the quality of the food was subpar. The crab cakes and fish were so dry they were inedible, the "hot" crab legs were room temperature, the fried shrimp was greasy and rubbery, the crab soup was too thick from sitting for a length of time over a flame. The salad selection was nice as well as the cold seafood bar. Overall on the food, 2/5 stars. Definitely not worth the money and we will not be back.
We went for the Saturday night Seafood Buffet. The "quality" of the food was evident the minute I tasted all the various selections: very good quality! You can always tell a great buffet by the freshness and above standard taste. The staff were attentive, but busy and the tables were somewhat crowded thus making it very noisy. I held back on giving the highest rating because of the tight, crowded conditions and because "only" a table of two can have a window seat. We had a party of three and they do not have any tables with a window view for more than 2 people--bummer. I was also disappointed that they do not have lobster, sushi or sashimi. However, I still recommend it and will go back.
We are in Asheville managing a local BnB. This was our second time at the Blue Ridge Dining Room. The first time was so fantastic, we did it again with friends. It was even better and our friends were thrilled to have had that experience. Thank you for your commitment to excellence.
The food was very tasteful and awesome choices for Sunday Brunch. Service was great. I was disappointed that our 40th Anniversary was not at knowledge. When I made the reservation I noted that. That was very disappointing to me More so than my husband Steve.
This reservation was for our parents anniversary! You all went above & beyond in making it so special for them!! We can’t thank you all enough!! & our parents said the food was amazing!! We would second that as we have ate here a few times ourselves!!
The Lewis Sisters
The extent of the Sunday Brunch at Grove Park exceeded my wildest expectations.
As we approached the dining room we noticed a teeming crowd. The line progressed quickly and with a reservation in hand, we passed straight through the crowd and were quickly greeted by a perfectly crafted mimosa and hostess. Our table looked west toward Mt. Pisgah and the resort’s golf course below.
With rare exception the food was perfect. The sole exception being oysters which left something to be desired. From first pass through the obligatory dessert run to (hopefully) sneak something into the corner pocket, there was one thing for every discerning palate. Value and $42 for a Sunday Brunch are rarely used in the same sentence, but in this case it was both memorable and money well spent.
Great food, awesome experience!!!!
The food was great. Our server was friendly and made sure our dining experience was the best. A nice relaxing atmosphere. The view was great.
Waiter was the best we have ever had. Attentive, discreet, respectful, and cheerful.
Very nice place. The food was presented very well. Service was pretty good. Honestly, The Grove Spark Inn is an awesome place, and the food was excellent for a buffet, but it’s not something I would do regularly. You can spend less for better food at several restaurants in Asheville. If You’ve never been, then get there early to enjoy the bar and setting.
The pork and beef were dry. The shrimp and mussels were great. Loved the clam chowder!
Our server Lisa was fantastic!! Couldn't ask for a better experience.
We enjoyed the food and the ambiance of the Blue Ridge. The food was excellent.
