We have been to the Blue Ridge Buffet before, but I really enjoyed it this time. Everything was delicious and high quality. My wife and I were celebrating our 20th anniversary, so that may have added to our good feelings!!
The kids buffet was lacking. Only three items - hot dogs, Mac and cheese, and baked beans. A few more items would’ve been nice as our five year old had little to eat.
Incredible prime rib and deserts especially! Worth it!!
Interesting that so many at the Mothers' Day Brunch were planning to wash their cars on Mothers' Day, at least judged on what they were wearing for brunch with Mom on her day. Was surprised to see this at the Grove Park Inn on this special holiday: ball caps, T-shirts, golf shirts, shorts, etc. World has changed so much that fewer and fewer people seem to own church or Sunday clothes any longer. Food was excellent.
We have been to the Mother’s Day brunch a couple of times. The food and service has always been excellent. The only complaint I would voice is I reserved our table two and a half months in advance and was seated in the upper level. I would expect to have better seating with such advanced notice. The more people in a party means the larger the bill. There were 5 of us , we expected better seating.
Great food and service
My fiancé and I brought my mother to the Saturday evening buffet to celebrate Mother’s Day and had an excellent time. The staff were very polite and the dining selection was excellent. Thank you!
Views are exquisite. We had the buffet and it was very nice.
Great selection and taste! All tasted great except the lo neon station...noodles very salty.
Service was excellent, seafood buffet had many choices but the features were so so. Loved that the food plaques noted alergens. Mant GF options including delish desserts.
Great!!! A 10!! We love it and highly recommend to all!!!
Always a pleasure visiting. This place is exceptional!!
The food and service were exceptional. The view was grand.
Seafood buffet had a wide variety of Yoder end foods. Dessert bar had a lathe selection too.
We had hoped for more variety in the seafood. The two hot fish options were good, the crab cakes were over done. The poached shrimp and BBQ shrimp were excellent, the crab legs were filled with water and not worth the trouble. The flank steak was excellent, but we were there specifically for seafood. Perhaps a Jambalaya or Newburg would have been nice. The smoked trout was very good and I added it to my salad with wonderful roasted veggies. The salad section was excellent overall. We're GF, so as usual the desserts weren't exciting, but we're used to that. We had a nice walk around and took some beautiful pictures. We'll probably come back again some time.
This was our first visit and everything about the experience was fabulous! Abundance of foods to choose from, clean, and fresh. Service was impeccable. Highly recommend this restaurant! The view is outstanding!
The brunch was an absolutely wonderful experience. The food was phenomenal and we had fantastic service from Stan. Every window provides amazing views of Asheville. You truly get what you pay for with this buffet.
Beautiful view of the mountains. Greeted with a mimosa. Awesome food and wonderful service.
My wife and I were at the Grove Park to celebrate her birthday. Our favorite place to eat is the Blue Ridge because our experience there is always so pleasant. The staff goes out of their way to insure that everyone is having a great time and the food is fantastic. My wife and I had a wonderful evening.
Excellent food and service. Not your typical buffet, much better. The restaurant and hotel are beautiful!
Excellent buffet! Huge variety! High end! Crab legs barbecue rubbed shrimp, prime rib, chicken dishes, baked fish, extensive salad options and wonderful selection of desserts! The fresh cooked risotto with fresh veggies cream and cheese was the best I have ever had! The banana foster station was a favorite with our family! The ice cream and toppings was excellent. The Gluten free desserts were so wonderful!! Excellent service, excellent view of the sunset in Asheville!
Excellent food as always. The buffet never runs low on anything. 3rd visit and will continue to go back.
Love this place for special occasions. Good food. Good variety.
The food was very mediocre. Fish was tough and over cooked. No hot shrimp options only cold. No fresh fruit. Desserts were pretty but not truly flavorful. The chocolate mint cake had no mint flavor only green coloring. My friend agrees. Would not go again.
The food was great with lots of selection on the buffet and the views were outstanding.
EASTER BRUNCH - April 21, 2019
The only criticism that I have is the lack of a more selections with the bread station. There was only 1 bowl of rolls and 1 bowl of Sweet Potato Scones and English Muffins. The selections for all the other stations were phenomenal.
Large selection of food but not that many vegetables. Too many desserts. Too pricey. Service was excellent.
Highly recommend our Easter Brunch experience at the Blue Ridge Dining Room. Beautiful views of the mountains and trees; a large variety of selections - seafood; lamb; salads; scrumptious dessert table. The best part of the meal was our server who took excellent care of us. Completely professional and gave us inside tips as well.
This makes our 4th time to Blue Ridge it is consistently good food and the wait staff exceptional! Haven't been let down yet! Looking forward to the next visit!
The best prime rib we have had in ages, and this buffet is more than worth the price. We will definitely return!
Our Asian waiter was pleasant but didn’t take time to listen to us and could not understand our needs. The noise and children and folks not dressed for a dining room affair (even baseball hats and flips flops) made us feel like we were at a 3 ring circus. We won’t go there again on a weekend night. It’s sad the Grove Park doesn’t adhere to the former standards.
Have been to the Sunday Buffet before
The food at the Friday Seafood buffet was quite disappointing
It was not fresh
Shrimp appeared to be frozen or washed--lacked taste and freshness
Crab very salty
Desserts not up to far
Would not recommend
The Brunch Buffet ends at 2:30, but they allow reservations for 2:30. You guys should cut it off at 2pm. Some of the items had already been put up, all of the signs labelling what was what had been taken down.... The server was FANTASTIC and the staff were, for the most part, friendly
Food was pretty good, I'm sure it would have been better if we'd had an earlier reservation. If the buffet ends at 2:30, you really shouldn't take reservations for that time.... that's really my main complaint.
We came from three different states to eat at the Grove Park Inn and the food was fabulous!
Food was just average both as to quality and selection of fresh seafood
For the price , I expect better quality food. The oysters and mussels were not edible, fried shrimp were excellent, cold shrimp was a hit and miss( some were fresh, others were somewhat mushy). Excellent salads, catfish, and crablegs. The selection of foods was vast, but I would say do it right or not at all and remove a few items because quality is always better than quantity.
Everything was great. Had a early seating time so the noise level was at a minimum, which is how we like it. Seafood was very good and loved the variety. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive.
Will definately be back soon and would recommend to friends.
The food, service and ambiance are all truly amazing! Love the Sunday brunch!
