Blue Ridge Ratings and Reviews
Great food, great service, great location. Made OpenTable reservations for Valentine's Day. Could not have been more romantic...except that OpenTable's listing failed to reveal the true cost of dinner, tip, and parking --- ran about $250 total. My lady friend is well worth it, but I wish I'd known in advance.
The valentine buffet was beyond exceptional. I wish I could have tasted every option, but alas I have just one stomach. There were three rooms full of food and every item was exceptional. Atmosphere is beautiful and service was 5 Star. I will be returning here regularly.
This is one of the top 5 places I've ever dined. It is not cheap but reasonable for what you get.
The preparation is exquisite. The Atmosphere is quiet and beautiful. I would recommend for
anyone to try at least once. We will go back again and again. We've only been there twice so far.
This place was phenomenal! The food was great! So many options that I got a little overwhelmed. But it gave a great variety for everyone. There might have been too many sweets options in my opinion but who doesn't love sweets? The scenery is beautiful and the service was great. Nice employees.
Simple Elegance meets Delectable Dining. This place has a wonderful atmosphere. People are so friendly and helpful. The meal choices are plentiful, and great from children to adults. We have been here several times and enjoy it so much. The wait staff are typically on top of everything, but there has been the occasional one that was so busy with other tables, that we could barely get refills. However, other wait stuff coming by was very helpful! All in all, don’t pass this place up. You won’t be disappointed.
Enjoyed our time at Blue Ridge and Grove Park.
Make reservations! We arrived and were greeted with mimosas while we waited for the hostess. We were seated right after. The hostess took us on a tour of the buffet, which was nice. They have everything you can imagine. All was very good! Service and friendliness were all top notch.
The Friday night seafood buffet is outstanding. The appetizers alone were well worth the price. The view of the Blue Ridge Mountains over Asheville NC is breathtaking especially at sunset. The wine was a bit pricey, but probably to be expected in a five-star resort.
My girlfriend and I are staying at the GPI for a girls weekend to celebrate our birthdays. This has become an annual tradition for our birthdays. Stan greeted us with a smile and was an outstanding server. He even made us feel extra special by giving us a special birthday treat at the end of our meal. Great service! Detectible cuisine ! Breathtaking views. We will be back.
We celebrate our anniversary here each year. Great buffet with excellent displays and great varieties of foods and wonderful desserts. Several stations where you could get certain dishes cooked up fresh for you. There was Bananas Foster made and Flambeed at one station! Great cold shrimp and crab legs. Everything was delicious and we had a wonderful server named Jason, that took really good care of all our needs. He was the BEST!! We will go back!!
We went to Blue Ridge for New Years brunch. Food choices were abundant and well placed. Taste and quality of food were great. Ambiance was also very nice. However, beware a 20% service charge is tagged on to your bill. If you get a server like mine, Samantha, she was terrible. I had to ask for silverware, when I asked for butter she told me I could get it in the back with the breads, I had to ask her to refill my glass with water. I was never offered if I wanted a mimosa. Every time I looked she was talking to one of her co-workers. Bad, bad! The manager was very complacent and acknowledged my complaint He did remove the 20% charge. However, I would have been happier with better service. BTW, The girls at the front reception were very nice.
Went for New Year's Eve celebration it was pretty good. There was a large selection of food on the buffet. The prime rib was great and some of the other sides we're really good. Some of the breads and cupcakes we're very hard from sitting out on the buffet. Our service wasn't great but they were busy. We did have to wait after seating to get our drinks, weren't asked about refills and had to wait to get our next drinks when our waiter did come around. I would go back to explore the hotel and I would be willing to eat there again, I feel like there might be better service and food on a less busy day.
