t’was good bro 💁🏻♀️
Great food. Service was good. Thoroughly enjoyed it. A bit expensive, but felt worth it
PERFECT EVENING - delicious meal - BEAUTIFULLY presented - staff personable and efficient !!
Really chill spot with outstanding food, had both skewers and sushi and both were amazing
I am used to fresh West Coast sushi so I am pretty spoiled. The rice was not well seasoned and a little over cooked. Fish was all very soft and almost mushy. The seaweed was soggy. Maybe it was an off time at 10:30 pm on a Wednesday.
Food was full of flavor. We ordered about 15 to 20 different dishes and couldn't believe the consistent, high quality.
On our way to a show at Webster Hall
Hadn’t been to Izakaya, I’ll most definitely go back! Everything was fantastic, even my 7 yr old loved it
Best quality food, and amazing service! Amazing for a date or a big group gathering too!
Nice restaurant, very comfortable atmosphere. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was delicious and fulfilling.
Atención muy buena. Excelente disposición para hacer cambios al gusto del cliente. La comida es excelente y atienden rápido. Ambiente súper entretenido
Went on Tuesday’s Night for late dinner
Place was not crowded
Sat on the bar and took the Omakase option
Chef Jose was in charge and served us one the great sashimi and fish we ever tasted
Food was absolutely fabulous
We will definitely return
Our go-to spot to celebrate special occasions. Best sushi chefs and kind service. AMAZING food. Thank you, as always, for making our good times even better!
Food was delicious and the service was quick and efficient we had to get to a show in a hurry and they were great at helping make sure we were on time without making us feel rushed! Definitely recommend for all sushi lovers!
Had better experience at that location and overall experience doesn’t justify the very steep price.
Good food and service. The ambiance and decor are suburban.
Sushi wayyy too expensive for what it is. If you want good sushis go to sushi on on jones or nobu and youll pay the same price for something actually good
great food, great service
really fresh fish! but I keep going back for the bone marrow ox tail fried rice. the best!
Excellent place to meet with a large group. Fun ambiance. Sushi was really excellent, and we take are sushi serious. Loved the salmon and hamachi family combo’s. Uni was outstanding, as was the mackerel, really everything. Nice white wine selection, next to the sake. Oh, and DO order the oxtail rice, amazing. We will be so back here!
We had a great time.
Delicious sushi, amazing service and surprisingly uncrowded for NYC. One of my favorite places for a big group.
The restaurant heard it was my sister’s birthday and provided complimentary dessert which was really sweet!
The food was delicious and service attentive. However, because of the hotel connection and the layout, it did not feel as authentic as its Soho location, especially if you access the restaurant via the hotel elevators (one person in our party was on crutches). It gave off more of an interesting Vegas vibe.
Incredibly underwhelming! We were all very excited to try Blue Ribbon based on past experiences at other Blue Ribbon restaurants. Ambience: Your first put off by a dirty entrance and walk up the stairs. The restaurant now looks tired. Behind the reception desk, there’s a closet with stuff and two fridges. Just such an unexpected and eye sore for this type of restaurant. Food: the sashimi was fresh and delicious. Everything else was average. We ordered various skewers which were cool so they went back. Our shumai was hard and warm and the 2 fried rice we ordered were very oily. All in all, average food for a way above average price! Service was lovely.
incredibly expensive for what you get. The food is good but not good enough for a $25 roll.
Great restaurant, delicious food and good vibes. I come and eat here every time I’m in town!
There’s no obvious signage that this place is located on the 2nd floor. I confirmed it with the hotel’s bellhop before we took the elevator. The wooden tables & seating are very well worn. We didn’t like that rice doesn’t come with the chicken teriyaki & salmon teriyaki entrees! We had to order 2 bowls & pay for it. The bento box is served with only chicken teriyaki as protein option. All entrees were fresh & delicious. We didn’t order any sushi rolls (6 pieces) that costs $25. I recommend this place for the high quality food & great staff, but be prepared to pay more for small amount of food.
Amazing quality, great sake selection, yummy cocktails, go!
Very nice restaurant. The sushi was ok not amazing....
service ok- asked for recommendations from the waiter and he said that everything is good... not the best...
overpriced in my eyes. Had way better sushi. Seats are very uncomfortable (don’t sit on the wooden seats)
Second visit after a slight mishap the first time around. This time I knew that the oxtail fried rice was a keeper, the bone marrow on point, and the sushi rolls Superior to the nigiri options. Yellowtail collar was great, shishito peppers plentiful. Much happier camper once these expectations were set.
The waitstaff though - phenomal!
After the buttery perfection of the oxtail dish, they came out with desserts for the birthday girl (no urging from us and on the house- super sweet of them!). I'll definitely be back a third time!
Take the server’s recommendations, including bone marrow fried rice. Sushi rolls were inventive and flavorful. Sushi quality wasn’t worth price though.
Every time I come here, I have never disappointed. Fish is always fresh, and service is perfect. Highly recommend to try this place...
Yellow tail sashimi is phenomenal
The ramen is good but the noodles are trash and for $20 not that great. Those noodles are barely better that 25 cent top ramen noodles
Service was excellent. Sake was great.
Appetizers were good. The 5- piece salmon sushi special was very good.
Two rolls with yellowtail were very fishy. Lobster roll was tasteless
Overall, the portions and quality were not worth $100 per person dinner.
Sushi and sake excellent. Fried rice and tiger prawns average.
Way overpriced for what you get and atmosphere
Absolutely terrible experience. Our service was incredibly slow throughout the meal. Then when it was time to pay, I wanted to redeem my OpenTable Dining Reward. The server said she needed to take my phone with her, away from the table, so her manager could get the code. I then watched them try to hand it off to each other and drop my iPhone on the ground. I got up and ran over when I saw them do this. There really wasn't much of an apology there and while my phone is working at the moment, I'm really hoping they didn't cause any long term damage. I also think it was very strange and not OK at all to ask me to take my phone away from me. I will definitely not be coming back here and I would not recommend it to anyone else. Also, I thought at the very least after this, the manager would come over and apologize, but instead he just silently walked the check over to our table.
