Not special- portions too small; feels like a chain
This is not my first time going to Blue Ribbon sushi. Food is good as usual, service is excellent. Waitstaff is very attentive. We have a party of 7 and we are not big eater. Plus 2 of us don’t eat raw and they gave us some really good recommendations. We got the best choice for our table. Love!
The restaurant is always very clean and they play the coolest instrumental music. The service is fantastic and the food is amazing! Try the ox tail fried rice!!!!!!!
This is my third time there...food quality and service equally good all three times. This was also the quietest it’s been for my three visits which I really liked...makes it easier to hold a conversation with your table mates.
Excellent food and atmosphere. This is the best sushi restaurant in Manhattan. Nithi and his colleagues take great care of the patrons!
Amazing! Excellent service!
The fish was horrible quality. The toro was foul tasting and everything else was comparable to grocery sushi. So disappointing
Way overpriced - delicious food but $750 for 3 ppl before tip is not justifiable
Everything was truly PERFECT!! 💖👏👏👏👏
It was a 5th anniversary day with my girlfriend . I had request when I made the reservation. And also I double remind them when I get to the restaurant . I would like them to put some word on our desert . So we can tak some picture and save our date . And also give a surprise to her . But the front desk lady just forgot about it ! It made all these for nothing !
We had a great time celebrating my husband’s birthday! We sat at the counter and did omakase, karma is amazing!!!! Midori the manager helped us with sake and was great too!! Everybody there is amazing!!! Love this place!!
Great food and service. An little pricey but worth it for the occasion
Go with omakase! Will not disappoint!
t’was good bro 💁🏻♀️
Great food. Service was good. Thoroughly enjoyed it. A bit expensive, but felt worth it
PERFECT EVENING - delicious meal - BEAUTIFULLY presented - staff personable and efficient !!
Really chill spot with outstanding food, had both skewers and sushi and both were amazing
I am used to fresh West Coast sushi so I am pretty spoiled. The rice was not well seasoned and a little over cooked. Fish was all very soft and almost mushy. The seaweed was soggy. Maybe it was an off time at 10:30 pm on a Wednesday.
Food was full of flavor. We ordered about 15 to 20 different dishes and couldn't believe the consistent, high quality.
On our way to a show at Webster Hall
Hadn’t been to Izakaya, I’ll most definitely go back! Everything was fantastic, even my 7 yr old loved it
Best quality food, and amazing service! Amazing for a date or a big group gathering too!
Nice restaurant, very comfortable atmosphere. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was delicious and fulfilling.
Atención muy buena. Excelente disposición para hacer cambios al gusto del cliente. La comida es excelente y atienden rápido. Ambiente súper entretenido
Went on Tuesday’s Night for late dinner
Place was not crowded
Sat on the bar and took the Omakase option
Chef Jose was in charge and served us one the great sashimi and fish we ever tasted
Food was absolutely fabulous
We will definitely return
Our go-to spot to celebrate special occasions. Best sushi chefs and kind service. AMAZING food. Thank you, as always, for making our good times even better!
Food was delicious and the service was quick and efficient we had to get to a show in a hurry and they were great at helping make sure we were on time without making us feel rushed! Definitely recommend for all sushi lovers!
Had better experience at that location and overall experience doesn’t justify the very steep price.
Good food and service. The ambiance and decor are suburban.
Sushi wayyy too expensive for what it is. If you want good sushis go to sushi on on jones or nobu and youll pay the same price for something actually good
great food, great service
really fresh fish! but I keep going back for the bone marrow ox tail fried rice. the best!
Excellent place to meet with a large group. Fun ambiance. Sushi was really excellent, and we take are sushi serious. Loved the salmon and hamachi family combo’s. Uni was outstanding, as was the mackerel, really everything. Nice white wine selection, next to the sake. Oh, and DO order the oxtail rice, amazing. We will be so back here!
We had a great time.
Delicious sushi, amazing service and surprisingly uncrowded for NYC. One of my favorite places for a big group.
The restaurant heard it was my sister’s birthday and provided complimentary dessert which was really sweet!
The food was delicious and service attentive. However, because of the hotel connection and the layout, it did not feel as authentic as its Soho location, especially if you access the restaurant via the hotel elevators (one person in our party was on crutches). It gave off more of an interesting Vegas vibe.
Incredibly underwhelming! We were all very excited to try Blue Ribbon based on past experiences at other Blue Ribbon restaurants. Ambience: Your first put off by a dirty entrance and walk up the stairs. The restaurant now looks tired. Behind the reception desk, there’s a closet with stuff and two fridges. Just such an unexpected and eye sore for this type of restaurant. Food: the sashimi was fresh and delicious. Everything else was average. We ordered various skewers which were cool so they went back. Our shumai was hard and warm and the 2 fried rice we ordered were very oily. All in all, average food for a way above average price! Service was lovely.
incredibly expensive for what you get. The food is good but not good enough for a $25 roll.
