Great like always! The paella is amazing.
It was a great experience. It wasn't my first time at this location. We enjoyed the food and the service. It was a Valentines Day to remember.
Love BR. Been going on and off for years. Service is impeccable and food is always delish.
We really enjoy Blue Ribbon for special occasions. They are very reliable for good friendly service and excellent food.
Atmosphere beautiful the food was so delicious I back to order the same thing. Very attentive workers prices pretty good I'll be back.
Although the service was very good I was interrupted frequently by waiters and the Maitre D a female a little bit too much. The food I had Fried Oysters and Fried Chicken mini dinner with curry shrimp rice bowl, the Otsters were quite delicious and the fried chicken. However I returned yesterday evening and ordered the same food got 2 additional pieces if fried chicken which was too salty and the collards were extremely salty, the salt takes from the health if the food a d meant customers have hypertension and heart disease so this is NOT good The customers should be able to season their food to their liking. We paid 78.00 for take our that we could not enjoy because it was too salty. HOLD THE SALT!!!! I am very serious the stuff was too salty!!
We wanted predictably good food and service and that is what we got. The service was superb and the food was great. Just like every restaurant in NYC, the tables are too close together but the noise level helped with not feeling crowded in.
I went to Blue Ribbon for our wedding anniversary. My wife got her usual and so did i just like when we first went there. The staff is super friendly, the ambience is perfect and we will definitely be going back.
We have been a customer of Blue Ribbon since they opened it in Brooklyn many years ago. The place is always consistent and fabulous. Its also nice when the service is of the same quality. One thing that I would suggest is for them to at least offer Valet service. Its much too difficult to find parking in their area and the restaurant that is so popular as it is would probably attract more visitors if parking were available.
I’m very disappointed to report tonight’s occurrence at blue ribbon because I have been a patron throughout the city for many years. I was accompanied by my fiancé who is an attorney, my best friend who is a professor, and his wife who is a surgeon. I, myself, am the treasurer of a pharmaceutical company. Previously, my fiancé and I had a great time at this restaurant several months ago but tonight we had a terrible waiter who attempted to extort our table. The waiter, on three separate occasions, swooped in and grabbed half consumed drinks and took them away before we finished them. I can only imagine he thought he’d increase the bill and get us to spend more and thus obtain a bigger tip. I’m absolutely shocked by this behavior; and I will not be going back to a blue ribbon restaurant as a result. This is sad because my fiancé and I were considering hosting our Miami wedding rehearsal at blue ribbon is south beach. Management should be informed of this situation tonight because I can only imagine that this waiter has done this to previous patrons. I really hope that this is an isolated incident and that servers are not encouraged to pursue this behavior.
I approached the waiter when I saw him do it a final time and he laughed and lied to my face. Terrible waiter.
The manager did a good job of trying to make the situation better and admitted he saw the waiter pour the drink away. He comped 4 of our drinks and was very nice. That said, that still doesn’t make up for the betrayal of the waiter. I can’t justify coming back to blue ribbon which is very sad because I’ve been to nearly all of them in the city. I really hope this is an isolated incident.
One of the worst steaks I’ve ever had in a restaurant. The steak tasted like something on sale at the supermarket. It was really fatty and tough to swallow. Was truly disappointed given the awesome reviews. It was a total waste of money and would never go back given how overpriced it was in addition to the poor quality.
The food and staff were amazing!! I took my mom out for her birthday and we had a wonderful time. I look forward to another visit in the future.
Our waitress “Sandra C” was horrible. She was very un-attentive (never came back to our table to make sure everything was alright after taking our order - other servers brought our food out.) I had to get another server’s attention to go get our waitress to come to our table to pack up food and bring us the bill. When she brought us the bill, it was the wrong bill and taking another decent amount of time for her to return with the correct bill. She forgot to bring us our packed food for both times when bringing us the bill. It was a lot of time wasted sitting around just to wait for her.
Had a lovely time at Blue Ribbon. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the service was excellent.
Had a wonderful family dinner for NYE, it was exactly what we were expecting!
Nice restaurant with a relaxed but classy vibe. Couples and families were out to enjoy dinner on NYE. The music was a bit toooo hunky dory LOL. I would have preferred holiday music at least or a mix of different genres. It made the place feel dated. The food however was great. We tried two apps— the garlic shrimp and a rib dish. They were both delicious ! Entree were solid. I had the fried chicken-since it was my first time. My BF tried the pork chop which he enjoyed. The chicken was ok. We really did not enjoy their cocktails. They just didn't taste good and for the price you’d definitely expect more flavor. I’d stick with wine. Service was good and professional. Overall a good experience.
Amazing spot for casual or family dining in the neighborhood. Great vibe. Food was okay. The oxtail fried rice was fine, but it tasted like any Asian-style fried rice. The oxtail was indistinguishable from any other red meat and it was a tad bit sweet. My husbands steak was too rare. It was barely cooked - almost inedible, actually. Our friends enjoyed the soup and the branzino special. And the dessert beverages were superb.
Good oysters, tasty food, pricey for what we got. Service kind of clumsy.
Went at 5:45 for wife’s birthday. There were lots of children. Food was excellent. Delivered on expectations
Haven't been in awhile. Glad that the standard has been well maintained. Food was outstanding. Service was attentive. The Walnut bannana bread pudding is a must try.
Ehhh. Fair, albeit expensive, diner quality food.
The ambience isn’t anything special, but the food is DELICIOUS! The service was really good. They even brought us some free ice cream for our anniversary.
Fine dining in a warm and friendly atmosphere - a little bit for everyone’s taste!
We came midweek at 6 and it was delightful. I had a lamb shank special that was to die for. A shrimp cocktail was nice but a bit expensive. Our drinks were superb my friends birthday was topped off with a candle lit desert. All in all a very merry good time.
The food and service are terrific. It's a very family friendly. Good drinks and wine. We miss the catfish!
Great service! I’m very impressed, especially by the little things like staff coming over and asking if the meal was to our liking.
The fried chicken was delicious and the portion generous. My issue is the loud music - like so many restaurants the volume is uncomfortably loud. I just don't get it.
Experience was good as always, but I noticed our server seemed a bit overwhelmed and wasn't as focused as my wife and I are accustomed to given that it wasn't a very busy night.
OUTSTANDING!!! I LOVE Blue Ribbon...they NEVER disappoint!!!
Thanksgiving dinner was never better. Turkey with the trimmings. Great service. Great value. Great time. I’m never dissatisfied with my meals here at the Ribbon.
Blue Ribbon never fails to deliver. The food is exceptional and the service matches the food. The manager is always present and helps the service when necessary. It is as well run as a Danny Meyer restaurant, and that is saying a lot. The kitchen is always amenable to modifications, so if you would rather have kale than the mashed potatoes (or the other way around), all you have to do is tell your waiter. We always enjoy a visit to Blue Ribbon, and we will be customers indefinitely.
My 2nd time here and the experience was just as good as the first. My son’s 12 birthday, the service was excellent, staff were very attentive and accommodating. The food was delicious.
The food is always fresh the service skilled and the room is busy and bubbly.
It used to have a good variety on the menu and be a special place to go for occasions. I was disappointed in menu change
Blue Ribbon is always a delightful experience. We split a porterhouse and it was perfect. Great wine list also.
I reserved since the online image showed tablecloths and this was for a special occasion. The food was good...a bit above average. What was outstanding was the wait staff, professional and personable. They made the evening special.
Friendly, top-notch service from our server Angela, even with the restaurant being super-packed. Glad we made a reservation. The food and ambience made it well worth the upscale pricing, and our kids enjoyed the experience, as well. Fried chicken was exceptional. The special, a striped bass, was perfectly executed.
Very poor quality steak and no attempt to rectify the issue
Blue Ribbon is an amazing restaurant. The service and food are of the highest quality. Not only would I recommend Blue Ribbon to my most discerning friends, I am definitely dining there again.
