What Insiders Are Saying
The original Blue Ribbon in Soho, in which you can eat bone marrow, fried chicken, and oysters from a white table cloth at 3am. What a world.
Great food, loved the fried chicken. Personable and warm staff
Consistently, great service and food. I never left disappointed every time I eat here. Thank you to the staff and chef for keeping a high standard of service. I would definitely come back and recommend this place to others.
The food was excellent, the service was just-right attentive, and it was quiet enough to engage in conversation. We’ll be back!
I love everything about this small, local Soho spot. The food is beyond delicious!!
Blue Ribbon is our late night go to when ever we are in New York. Once again they exceeded our expectations. Thanks for the great evening.
Blue Ribbon is my favorite neighborhood restaurant. Great food, great atmosphere and open almost to the break of dawn. Love it!!
Our waiter, Brendan, was terrific.
Patient, professional, informed about wines.
Have been coming to this restaurant since 1992, and it still holds up.
My hubby loves the chicken burger.
Staff very friedly
A local favorite for late night foodies and chefs. Standouts are Bone Marrow; Oysters; and beyond brilliant Paella.
Hands down one of the best restaurants in New York
We are frequent fliers at blue ribbon. It’s absolutely always amazing and always consistent! Great atmosphere terrific staff. Drinks and fare beyond delicious. You’re even likely to run into a celebrity or 2, we pretty much do every time we dine. Highly recommend .
Service was outstanding and food was awesome! Fried chicken was great!
The food is good, just not inspired like how I remember it. I know it’s more comfort food but seemed a little off. It’s still on the list of good stops, though.
Always will be a favorite. Menu is perfection and there’s nothing better than going for a late night meal.
Fantastic dinner. Escargot was so good, and the fried chicken was great, too. We were given VIP treatment and made to feel like we were valued customers. I have already recommended this to other friends. Can't wait to go back.
Amazing meal for my birthday! They took amazing care of us and the food was incredible as always!
Best chef in NY. Staff is outstanding (especially Aodhan (pronounced Aiden) who is the best waiter ever!) My husband says I do a happy dance in my chair when I eat the food here.
Host was not personable, didn’t take my name so open table thought we were a no show. Tap water was poured over our bottled water. Good. Not great.
Excellent food, everything was perfect.
Great beer and cocktail list as well. Would definitely come again.
U must order the Strawberry Sundae dessert. Good for 2 people although I easily would eaten the whole thing. Service is terrific, waiter as well as senior staff/owner check table a number of times.
Ordered the fried chicken, very good. Crispy outside, juicy inside. My wife thought the skin was a little but over-cooked. I disagreed. Ok the collared greens...I just don't like...I tried but they make kale seem terrific. My wife had shrimp dish....shrimp and pasta were terrific.
Drinks: I had the mezcal/lime drink which was a terrific with slight smoky flavoring from the Mezcal. My wife had I think a Kir royal.
Overall go and we will go again, with a group. Total bill was around $145 which seems reasonable for great food 2 drinks and I will wrap up with the Strawberry Sundae. U must order.
This is my favorite restaurant in NYC we flew in from Nevada to celebrate a birthday. 10 for dinner it was outstanding!!! Looking forward to my next trip back to NYC
Good food, very good service. I would return on next trip to NYC.
Exactly what I was looking for in a late night dinner spot. Packed at 1am with great people watching, great service and tasty snacks:)
Terrific food and service. Will return. Price a little high but value is there. Delicious
Tolles Essen, toller Srvice. Von der Vorspeise über die Hauptspeise bis zum Dessert waren die Speisen excellent. Wir können diese kleine Restaurant absolut empfehlen.
Blue Ribbon warrants its name! Fresh and beautifully shucked oysters, fish soup and ribs. We were even more impressed by the service, warm.personal, professional. A restaurant that wraps its arms around you. Noise level is “ energetic” but you can talk.
Great service. Very good food. Good neighborhood place.
My favorite restaurant year after year. To have phenomenal food on a restaurant workers budget makes it that much better!! Bone Marrow is the go to but make sure
you try the remoulade, tartare , and fried oysters. If you wanna keep it light it’s hard to beat the smoked trout salad! ❤️🤘 You guys rock
Very disappointed. We went to blue ribbon in brooklyn and it was amazing. Did not have the same experience here
Wonderful waiter - Will - who made great recommendations about the menu and the wine list. Lively scene at 1:30am - very welcome after checking into hotel near midnight in financial district and finding no restaurants open nor any delivery except pizza. Had oysters on half-shell (Connecticut, Cape Cod, West Coast Kumumoto - with 3 sauces) shrimp remoulade, heirloom tomato salad. Fantastic grapefruit-campari sorbet for dessert.
Having seen this restaurant on CBS Sat. Morning's "The Dish" we seemed to know more about it owners and history than the staff. The food was good but not outstanding.
It was so loud by 7:30 that we could hear each other speak and we were a small group of three in the corner. Too bad because the wait staff was very good and the wine list had variety.
Such a charming atmosphere! Amazing food and service
Nice place to dine. Excellent service and very good dishes. To try
Chose Blue Ribbon due to its location. Had an excellent meal after a drink at the bar. The bartender Brendan was friendly and made me feel at home. The food was prepared perfectly, we were not rushed and I will have another meal at the Blue Ribbon.
Enjoyed everything about this spot except the lack of elbow room. Great food, great staff, great fun.
Always great food, service and comfortable. A New York Tradition
Amazing food, service & drinks.
The sweet breads are a much have!
