I think our server's name was Tim, and he was outstanding. The fresh rolls were hot and delicious. Our salads were crisp, ample size, and my blue cheese dressing was great. I ordered the Mahi Mahi which was grilled to perfection, and served with a mango salsa, and perfect spinach with a touch of garlic. I ordered the warm baked chocolate chip cookie with icecream and chocolate sauce for dessert. It was amazing! The manager stopped by and asked if everything was fine. We told her that our dinner was outstanding. We dine out almost every night, and I definitely recommend this restaurant.
Blue pointe oysters were excellent. As was the Caesar salad. We had the scallops which were exceptional and the Parmigiana Dover Sole was perfect. Highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be going back.
Delicious food. A bit noisy when we arrived. Good place.
Delicious, very enjoyable.
Probably our sixth time at Blue Pointe. Second time in a row that it was disappointing. Food was mixed. Blackened Grouper Bites was quite good and paired nicely with the rest of the appetizer. Salad was also very good (the previous time it was partially frozen). Scallops with Brown Butter was so-so; brown butter is delicate and this was overly browned. Rice was dull though spinach was very good. My wife liked her crab cakes though a little too much filler and not enough crab.
The service was very inexperienced. The person tried hard but was very young and seemed to think this was Applebee's ("but it'e free" he told my wife when she didn't want a second side). I told him I drank a lot of water yet inconsistent with the fill-ups and asking me if I wanted more water (duh, yes, it's empty and I'm not drinking anything else). Plates were cleared but not all; not sure why the read bowl stayed throughout yet other plates were taken quickly. Waiter suggested a couple things but clearly not based on experience or house recommendation/favorites - more suggestions for someone who doesn't eat at better restaurants.
Desert (French Toast Bread Pudding) was a little burnt so we set it aside. The waiter apologized 3 times and said it would be better the next time but clearly was not empowered to take it off the bill nor check with the manager. The kid tried hard so we didn't want to make a big deal of it so we just paid the bill and left.
Over $100 + tip for 2 drinks, appetizer, 2 entrees, and poor desert. Too expensive for what it was.
Our waitress, Denice was excellent. Very attentive and because it was lunch time, it was very quiet.
Loved the atmosphere. If we had not been going to the movies, we would have had a glass of wine. I have been there several times for dinner and it is truly great! Take yourself out there, you will surely enjoy the oysters and fish!
I eat there often. Always a good time, good food, and great service.
Always a wonderful lobster roll! The brussels sprouts absolutely incredible :)
Fantastic seafood restaurant.
The waitress wasn't very attentive, food took forever, and fish had to be sent back for being undercooked. Not typical for this establishment but definitely disappointing
Blue Pointe is a great place to go at Bell tower Mall. I love the crab cakes! There birthday program is great-50% off on your actual birthday! Nice ambiance, great service!
Very good food and service considering that it was one of the busiest holidays of the year at 200PM on Mother's Day! At first the hostess said that it was overbooked and that perhaps we could be seated outside. I had made the reservation just 2 hrs online on OpenTable with the request that the table tops would not be appropriate because we had a 3 yr old with us and 5 adults. But she went and double checked and actually found the best booth at at window which was perfect because we were waiting for a car full of family members and I was able to see when they arrived at the parking lot. The waitress was from Germany and was busy but helpful and friendly. She explained the ipad menus and was especially attentive to the 3 year and the 17 year old boys. Overall we enjoyed the experience and will be back!
The food was just OK and our entrees arrived before we had a chance to finish our salads. I'm not sure if they were trying to rush us out or if they just know how to serve a multi-course meal. They can't wait to push appetizers and salads, but in doing so, our courses piled up on our table and the meal was not worth the prices they were charging. The experience reinforces my reluctance to "dine" in a mall restaurant. There are simply too many other options.
Blue Pointe is our go-to Fort Myers restaurant and has been for years. The food is consistently excellent. The blue cheese slaw is a great accompaniment to any entree. And the service is always spot-on. Great place for sitting outside and the location is perfect for most people. We've been going there for a really long time and have never had a bad experience -or even close to it.
Food was very good, but my filet was overcooked. They offered to redo, but I declined as it was still very tasty. We sat at a hightop right at the door to outside seating, and it was hot because the door was open a lot. Will go back, just sit in a different place.
Dine there many times. Our server was lost many times in the restaurant when we needed him. He brought our friends dinner while everyone else was eating appetizers.
Omgosh the parmesan crusted sole was AMAZING! Best thing I've had since we've been here.
We have dined at Blue Pointe Oyster Bar & Seafood Grill a number of times over the last few years. We have always enjoyed it (especially the mussels). On Saturday I decided to try the Lobster Bisque and the Oysters Florentine. Both were delicious. My husband had the New England Clam Chowder and the Lemon Sole and enjoyed both. Service by Albert was outstanding. We appreciate his attentiveness, quick service, sense of humor and efficiency. We will return to Fort Myers in October and will dine here again.
Never disappointed when we go to Blue Pointe! Usually try something new each time we go. Love everything we have tried. The service is always exceptional and the atmosphere is relaxing.
My friend and I went for a casual dinner. The ambiance of the restaurant was great. Food was lesser quality than Bonefish Grill which was surprising. Service was below average. Many mistakes were made on our meal. We enjoyed trying a new place to dine, but likely wouldn’t go back when visiting again.
Entrees were a little pricey for a meal at 1pm. The apps were delicious and the special seafood entree was also very good. Service was excellent.
Food was amazing and service was excellent
We had an ok experience. We really like the ambiance. However, we were taken aback with my wife's Vodka on the rocks, with Well Vodka being $9.95. We won't be making that mistake again. Way too pricey for us.
Great food and service
We had a reservation and were seated outside. It was very hot and I requested a table inside and they graciously changed our table. Our service was very slow for most of the meal. My husband had the crab cakes and he thought they were outstanding. I had mahi with a special rub and avacodo salsa. The fish was cooked perfectly but I didn't feel that the avacado salsa had much flavor. I ordered mexican street corn and it was excellent. My husband had a white wine the waitress suggested and he liked it. I ordered a special drink, grilled pineapple mojito. I didn't think it had much pineapple flavor and it could have been sweeter. Overall, it was a good meal and we would try it again, hoping for better service.
A little pricey but excellent. Our server, Sarah was very attentive and there when we needed something.
Great food, ambiance and location. Hard to find a parking space due to events in area.
The opportunity to have a great seafood meal on a Friday during Lent, was made extra special by the service and food quality. The outdoor seating under an oversized umbrella was complimented by a refreshing breeze. Ashlee was our server. Her menu knowledge was great; her attentiveness was superb. We will definitely be back - great place, best staff!
With friends for lunch and sat on patio. Very tasty swordfish. Juicy and grilled just right. And they still have best Cole slaw ever.
Went for lunch with two girlfriends. Food was very fresh, excellently prepared, and delicious. Very nice decor and seating indoors and out. Definitely worth it!
A fun and laid back atmosphere. Good food and service!
Always enjoy Blue Point!
Food was really good. Happy hour bartenders are attentive and quick. Service in dining room was good but table was not manicured without asking.
Outstanding Seafood and service. We will certainly return.
Delicious lunch, love the avocado stuffed with crab salad
The food at this restaurant is definitely outstanding. All 5 of us loved our meals. And, we had no room for dessert, which also sounded amazing. We were in the back corner booth because 2 of our guests cannot do high tops. Mentioning this only because the back corner was a bit noisy. The rest rooms are nearby. But, overall a wonderful get together for dear friends.
The best seafood I've had since moving 3 years ago. Always consistent and very tasty.
The mussels, sea base and salad were top notch. The fish & chips was okay but the fish was a bit mushy. The coleslaw was also delicious as was the creme brule.
The service was excellent. Our waiter came across like he wanted to take care of us and he did. It was my niece's birthday and he did a good job by placing a candle in the brule and joined in singing the Happy Birthday song. He treated us like we were his only guests.
The blue point has always been a very pleasant place to eat.
