Blue Point Grille Ratings and Reviews
The food was really tasty and the restaurant was nice and clean but the waitress was rude and I feel
I didn’t receive the 5 star service I deserved for the amount of money I spent my bill was $230 dollars and I had to keep getting other waitresses to get my waitress for things even water. I also noticed she packed up others around us food but did not pack up ours I just feel I deserved better treatment for the money I spent.
My boyfriend took me to dinner here to celebrate Valentine's Day while we were there for a consult at the Cleveland Clinic. The food was excellent, as was the ambiance and decor. I wish I'd been a little better dressed but I didn't know anything about where we were going and we'd come directly from being out all day. I would describe the decor as elegant; a lovely place to celebrate a romantic occasion. The service was also excellent and the melt-in-your-mouth chocolate cake was unforgettable! Thank you (and thanks to my sweetheart, Steve) for a wonderful evening out!
My husband and I were just there for a valentines day lunch. the ahi tuna tartar was fantastic, as was the lobster bisque soup. however, our entrees were mediocre. my scallops were under cooked, I couldn't eat 1 out of the 3, but the shrimp was amazing. my husbands grouper was bland. the bread and butter was delicious.
I wasn't impressed with the surf & turf. Steak had no flavor. The mashed potatoes were dry and clumpy. Lobster was good. My wife ordered the blue point heaven. I tried and we were both happy with that dish. The salad and lobster bisque was good as well. The service and ambiance was decent. We sat at table 11 which we thought was the best table in the house as far as being able to see the city. Overall the food didn't live up to the price. I rate this a 2 star restaurant. There is so much potential for this restaurant if there was more attention to detail all around.
This restaurant has now become one of my top 5 restaurants in Cleveland. We had the oysters and mussels, and then we actually both had the Ahi Tuna from the top part of the menu for dinner....amazing. We just got back from Hawaii last month and have been a spoiled with fresh with Ahi, this can compare FINALLY to what we had over there. If you have been to Hawaii and had Ahi there, you know what I'm talking about LOL. Lisa was an amazing waitress and will make sure that we have her again. This was a perfect evening.
One of my favorite restaurants, and especially for seafood as they have an excellent selection. We started with a side of calamari which was very good, but a little greasy, side sauces were tasty. I got the arugula salad which was fresh, flavorful and served with a light vinaigrette dressing, enough to share. My husband got the Swordfish which was outstanding. I got the Dayboat scallops which were delicious. The creamed, smoked cauliflower served on the side had a nice flavor. Unfortunately we were too full for dessert but what a wonderful dining experience. Can't wait to go back!
It has been a long time since I gave five stars to a restaurant. But Blue Point is well worthy! My boyfriend and I had a reservation. We arrived and used the valet service. They were very professional and even advised us of the icy sidewalk. Only a few steps from the car to the front door. The receptionist greeted us again in a very professional manner and we were seated immediately. I had requested a window table which we got. A beautiful view of the red lit Terminal tower for upcoming Valentine’s Day. Our server, Mark, arrived with menus in hand and told us about the specials. Mark was spot on all nite. Timed the meal perfectly. I had the Blue Point Heaven, shrimp, lobster tail and scallops. My boyfriend had the oysters, lobster bisque and surf and turf. He had cheese cake and great tasting coffee for dessert. I had a taste for a Brandy Alexander. Well the bar is not equipped with a blender but Mark and the bartender made one for me anyway. This restaurant covered all the aspects that I needed to have a exceptional dining experience. Thank you and we will be back!!
We celebrated my husband's birthday. It was very special we were seated next to the window so we could look out and see all the happenings outside. Our waitress was so helpful in choosing the correct wine to go with our dinner. The oysters were so refreshing. The grouper was awesome, so tasty and prepared perfect. They accomodated my request to substitute the lobster mash potatoes with a choice of vegetable. It was a great dinner and highly recommend if you love fish this is the place. Its a little more expensive but great place for a special occasion or just splurge for a nice dinner.
All of the staff were exceptional! They visited the table often enough to make us feel special. I had the halibut and my husband the grouper and both were delicious. We were given creme brûlée for our anniversary dessert and it is a favorite of mine. Great experience.
Our waiter Nick was outstanding. Every question we had he answered to our satisfaction & gave us some great recommendations - especially on oysters. We are novices on them & the ones he picked for us were superb. All the dishes were superb. Couldn't ask for better seafood.
The Blue Point is our go to special occasion restaurant and we will definitely be going back again.
Blue Point never disappoints! The service is fantastic with the timing of the meal being perfect. We love the atmosphere with the high ceilings, brick archways and mix of gold & off white. The bar decor is a nice compliment of dark wood and masculine surroundings. It is located around many popular night life venues that are within walking distance. We love coming here because the seafood is so fresh and prepared perfectly. It is one of our overall favorite places to dine..absolutely wonderful!
I am a student at Case Western University and I was having dinner on the last night of this semester’s residency with Deep From Mumbai, India and Prabhu from United Arab Emirates. Joe was our attendant and his service was exceptional. I was able to introduce Deep to steak and lobster and calamari. He thought it was the best thing in the world!
This is simply an outstanding restaurant. The seafood we had was second to none and the lobster bisque was the best I have ever tasted. We sat at a window table and had a nice view of Terminal Tower and the rest of the Cleveland skyline. The atmosphere inside was very nice and the service we had was exactly what you would expect from a five star dining experience. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for an upscale dinner in downtown Cleveland. The food is a little on the expensive side but in my opinion, worth every penny.
Sean, our server, was excellent and very attentive. It was celebrating my husband's 75th birthday and everything was outstanding. Sean brought over the best creme brulee with a candle as a complimentary dessert. We were not rushed to eat and food and service was all in a timely manner. We requested window seating and got the best window seat in the house. Excellent staff and excellent food.
