Exceeded our expectations for conversation, excellent service, lovely food and choice available for all guests. Had a fabulous experience at Blue Point Grille. We were the local hosts and the four out-of-town guests loved it, too.
Wonderful fresh seafood, great service and an elegant, but non-pretentious ambience.
As always the Blue Point delivers with impeccable service and outstanding seafood! A true Cleveland landmark that is as good now as it was when it opened!
Outstanding time was had by all. We enjoyed nice drinks at the bar, followed by great food. Our group had a blend of seafood and non-seafood lovers. Blue Point handle us all with high quality options.
They definitely wanted to turn the table quickly. Food was good but not the fine dining experience I expected.
5 stars top to bottom. However for value, portions rather small for prices charged.
The only thing that would have been better was to not be seated in the bar, it’s just a different ambiance
Our server was terrific and the food was anazing
Good food and wonderful customer service. Thank you
Over priced for what you get... no salad, extra, wine very good
Had not been to Blue Point in a couple of years but was glad to re-visit last week for a delicious meal. Of course, sea food is their specialty and we enjoyed very tasty raw oysters, delicious scallops and a grouper dish that was well prepared and beautifully presented. Even though it was a busy night, our server was responsive and knowledgeable about the menu. Highly recommend Blue Point for seafood lovers.
Our server was awesome! I ordered the seafood tower and the lobster claws were horrible! It seemed that they were frozen . Very hard to eat!
We were somewhat disappointed in the food. Menu was not very creative, and quite limited to the tried and true fish dishes. Swordfish was tender, but very plain. It was served with sautéed Swiss chard which was quite good, but red rice was odd. Oysters Rock was very heavy with breadcrumbs, and then just a warm oyster inside. My husband's crab cake was so-so. The waitress was superb. Ambiance was relaxed and upbeat.
Went here for a birthday for someone and it was amazing
Blue Point is a destination for us. Definitely for special occasion . June 12 was prior to theatre.
My wife had a very dry steak over-cooked with little taste. My usual is the grouper. The grouper was also overlooked.
Our guest was disappointed in the fish she had saying it was very spicy.
Normally we would have returned the dishes but we were running late.
We will return however next time the plates will go back.
Server was exceptional and scallops out of this world!
Good food and service
Beef and asparagus we’re scrumptious. Tender filet and juicy. Special was a salmon dish that was very good. Everything we ate from the bread to the creme brûlée was wonderful. Waiter recommended a wine that was an excellent choice and was not particularly expensive. The blue decor is attractive but the open room with a high ceiling is noisy and the tables are not private.
I really like the food there. I came to the restaurant because I saw the restaurant has a ver high rate. Occasionally, when I come to the restaurant I saw Stephen Curry was invite to the banquet that night. I didn't invite by them. I waited the next day after, and I had a dinner there. The server was really great. I hope when Stephen come next time, and I can be invited. Thanks a lot!
One of those meals you remember for long time. Spectacular food.
Blue Pointe is consistently excellent. Service was outstanding. Tina tartare app was superb. All enjoyed their meals and experience. Great for entertaining without being over the top.
The food was excellent, but the best part of the evening was the service. Kevin did an awesome job. He was prompt, charismatic, and knowledgeable. We will be asking for him specifically when we return.
We went to Blue Pointe Grill on a Saturday, evening. Staff was excellent from the greeting at the door to the check at the end. Good pace of service; plates cleared promptly. Fish was of very high quality. Everything was cooked to the right degree of doneness (not too much). The steak was surprisingly very good (didn't expect that at a seafood restaurant). Only complaint was the amount of salt on the fish entrees....it was very salty, and everyone at our table agreed. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars. They gave us a complimentary dessert treat for our special occasion. Beautiful view of the Terminal Tower from the main dining room.
Good meal, good service. Seemed a trifle pricey for the overall meal. Location looks a bit dated inside.
No one asked what our “special occasion” was. (We had just returned to Cleve after our honeymoon.)
We had reservations and in a near empty restaurant, they tried to seat us at a very small table for two immediately next to a boisterous table of four. I had to ask for another table and they moved us into the bar area.
Great food, wine list, atmosphere and staff!
It was great.
Good was over cooked and half of my meal as cold. Service was slow and waiter didn’t really seem to care
Just not worth the money. Nice location, great service. Food was not good.
Been there multiple times and never tired of Blue Pointe. Great food, service and ambiance.
Outstanding service and great food. Expensive.
Lovely setting and comfy seating. Immediately and pleasantly approached by our server and given fresh water. Excellent service and delicious food. My husbands tuna was perfect and my grouper was divine. Our server Lisa expertly guided us towards the oyster sampler and the lamb spring rolls which were sublime. We enjoyed the salted caramel ice cream and left very happy and will definitely be back.
Blue Point is one of Cleveland’s gems. I wanted seafood for my birthday and it was fantastic. So many good choices. I had “My Blue Point Heaven” - a delicious dish including lobster tail, lobster mashed potatoes, scallops and shrimp. Laura was our server and she had wonderful recommendations and conversation- she makes the event special. My wife and daughter enjoyed their dinners too. It’s downtown Cleveland’s best seafood restaurant.
All steaks arrived cold but were returned and corrected. Our server Laura was excellent!!!! She made sure everything was up to par after the steaks arrived back. The dessert she served to the table was tasty as well!
The restaurant has a great ambiance. The food was excellent and the service was very good. The server was knowledgeable and gave very detailed descriptions of the appetizers and entrees.
Excellent food and service. We were celebrating a college graduation and we really enjoyed our experience.
We were 10 minutes early for our reservation, and though there were tables for 2 open in the dining room, we were seated in the bar section. While the booth was plenty large for 2, not all of the patrons in the bar were dressed for a night out. Not a huge issue, but when our reservation noted it was an anniversary we thought we would be in the regular dining room, particularly when we were dressed appropriately. Let's mention some positives. The food is delicious and plentiful. My SO had the "My Blue Heaven" seafood sampler, and she said it was the best lobster tail she's ever had. My swordfish was cooked perfectly with a nice presentation. Our salads were large, and the cocktails are generous and well made. We're still trying to decide about the service. Was our server trying to give us some room/time, or were they more attentive to potentially larger tips? When our drinks were empty, they were there to ask if we wanted another, but there was never a mention of a bread bowl, despite other nearby tables having one. At the end, our server brought the desert menu, then kind of disappeared. Our server was certainly nice, but I think the bar area tables usually have 4-6 diners. Again, not going to ding them too much because I don't know how many other tables they were covering, but it did appear as though larger tables got a bit more attention. Will definitely go back for the food, and hope it was just an off night for our server.
I could fill this page with compliments for this restaurant. The food is beyond flavorful and absolutely delicious. The service we received from Nick was perfect. He was fabulously personable and knowledgeable. Every member of the staff that we encountered was very friendly and helpful. The overall atmosphere is perfect for an intimate, special celebration of any kind. If you're concerned about the cost, you can rest assured that it is worth every penny. OUTSTANDING!
Had the best time and food! I highly recommend this restaurant. The service and atmosphere is great!
My wife and I came here for the seafood. We heard it was the specialty of the Blue Point Grille. As we were celebrating our 23rd anniversary, we decided to splurge on King Crab Legs - at $75/plate. This is our favorite meal for my wife and I! We were expecting large crab legs, such as we would get at Don's Lighthouse or some other premier seafood restaurants. Even when we splurge at home and get some from Sam's Club, they are always jumbo legs. The legs we received from here were the same size and quality that we would get at Red Lobster for less than half the price.
The salad was excellent, the service was what we would expect from a place such as this, but we were very disappointed in the King Crab and probably won't be going back.
