Blue Point Grille Ratings and Reviews
We had an amazing evening and birthday celebration here. We were seated withing seconds of walking in the door. They honored our request of a quiet corner table and we were seated on the upper floor with a beautiful view both out of the windows and also overlooking the main floor of the restaurant. Our server Jason was knowledgeable and very patient with our desire for a non-rushed dinner. We had the shrimp cocktail as appetizers and the grouper and swordfish with the cesaer salad. The wine was absolutely delicious and after all of this, they surprised us with a special Creme Brulee for my boyfriends birthday!
We cannot wait to go back again!
My wife and I chose Blue Point to celebrate her birthday. Our server was very helpful and speedy. We started with the tuna tartare. Deeeelicious! My salmon was cooked perfectly and my wife’s Blue Point was everything she hoped for. When we come to Cleveland, we always try to make time for dinner here. Thanks to Open Table, they knew it was my wife’s birthday and made it memorable!
Nice, upscale restaurant but choose the second level as you may get placed in a booth which are uncomfortably close to eachother. It felt like we were having dinner with the people next to us. My steak came back extremely rare and had to be returned but I had already cut it in half. For a high class place I expected a new steak but they just recooked the one that wasnt done and there was no comp at all on the bill.
Had a great meal here with my good friend for her Birthday. Seating in a booth in the bar area was still quiet, probably because, surprise, the Browns lost that day. Service was great, the food came out in a timely manner, and everything was delicious. It had been a while since I'd been here but Blue Point is still one of the best downtown restaurants for special occasions.
Blue Point scores again! Consistently outstanding. Service is impeccable with knowledgeable and experienced staff. Never had anything that wasn't fantastic on the menu. Great for oyster sampling, chilled seafood towers, and so much more. One of Cleveland's best!
My business partner and I invited two potential clients to dinner on Saturday evening. We parked on West 6th at 7:30pm arriving early so we could enjoy a few cocktails before our dinner reservations at 8:00pm. Dinner was very good as usually; we dine at Blue Point often. Service was great and the waiter made a great pairing suggestion for wine and dinner. However, when we left at 9:30pm to my surprise my car had been towed. There was an orange “No Parking” sign posted on one of the street poles that was not there when we parked. When I asked the police officer why my car was towed he said that there’s no parking on West 6th after 8:00pm. I explained to him that there wasn’t an orange “No Parking” sign when I parked at 7:30pm and that the permanent metal parking sign said 2 hour parking. He explains that the orange no parking signs get posted at 8:00pm and any car parked gets towed. Needless to say I was embarrassed in front of our clients and very angry. I called Blue Point and asked to speak to the manager. The manager, PJ said he understood my frustration but there was nothing he could do. To get my car out of the impound lot if cost $240. Our dinner was over $900 that night and on average we dine at Blue Point 8-10 times a year. Horrible experience! I will never go back to Blue Point. The manager almost seemed annoyed when I explained what had happened. His poor attitude and condescending tone made this horrible experience worse.
This is my second time visiting the Blue Point Grill from out of town. I had to come back after the first visit since I could not believe how good it was. The second time was even better. Great service. Delicious food and superb facility. Pricey but well worth it.
The service was incredible and the food was top notch. Definitely the place to go for Cleveland Seafood. The grouper was the best fish I have eaten in a long time. My wife felt the same about the scallops. The atmosphere was more lively than expected, however, it was a Saturday night and they were catering to several larger parties. All in all, a great dining experience.
