Blue Point Grille Ratings and Reviews
Had a great meal here with my good friend for her Birthday. Seating in a booth in the bar area was still quiet, probably because, surprise, the Browns lost that day. Service was great, the food came out in a timely manner, and everything was delicious. It had been a while since I'd been here but Blue Point is still one of the best downtown restaurants for special occasions.
Blue Point scores again! Consistently outstanding. Service is impeccable with knowledgeable and experienced staff. Never had anything that wasn't fantastic on the menu. Great for oyster sampling, chilled seafood towers, and so much more. One of Cleveland's best!
My business partner and I invited two potential clients to dinner on Saturday evening. We parked on West 6th at 7:30pm arriving early so we could enjoy a few cocktails before our dinner reservations at 8:00pm. Dinner was very good as usually; we dine at Blue Point often. Service was great and the waiter made a great pairing suggestion for wine and dinner. However, when we left at 9:30pm to my surprise my car had been towed. There was an orange “No Parking” sign posted on one of the street poles that was not there when we parked. When I asked the police officer why my car was towed he said that there’s no parking on West 6th after 8:00pm. I explained to him that there wasn’t an orange “No Parking” sign when I parked at 7:30pm and that the permanent metal parking sign said 2 hour parking. He explains that the orange no parking signs get posted at 8:00pm and any car parked gets towed. Needless to say I was embarrassed in front of our clients and very angry. I called Blue Point and asked to speak to the manager. The manager, PJ said he understood my frustration but there was nothing he could do. To get my car out of the impound lot if cost $240. Our dinner was over $900 that night and on average we dine at Blue Point 8-10 times a year. Horrible experience! I will never go back to Blue Point. The manager almost seemed annoyed when I explained what had happened. His poor attitude and condescending tone made this horrible experience worse.
This is my second time visiting the Blue Point Grill from out of town. I had to come back after the first visit since I could not believe how good it was. The second time was even better. Great service. Delicious food and superb facility. Pricey but well worth it.
The service was incredible and the food was top notch. Definitely the place to go for Cleveland Seafood. The grouper was the best fish I have eaten in a long time. My wife felt the same about the scallops. The atmosphere was more lively than expected, however, it was a Saturday night and they were catering to several larger parties. All in all, a great dining experience.
We went for a birthday dinner and enjoyed a dinner and truly enjoyed the night but we were not truly impressed with the meal itself for the cost of the meal. Overall it was a great experience however for the costs of the meal I would have expected a little better meal as well as service that would have included multiple people serving our meal/ evening. And exchange of silverware, multiple courses, and a final touch of food presentation.
Great place but disappointed on a steak ordered. Took a party of 8 with many for the first time. My wife and i favorite place. Grouper the best. Steak came back 25 mins later after we all ate. Gave him a free shrimp small meal and then charged for it and steak. Spoke to manager and apologized and took off both shrimp and steak. Thank u for doing right thing blue pointe. See u New Year’s Eve.
We have a perfect anniversary dinner. The calamari app was great. I had the blue point heaven seafood combo and everything was tasty and cooked to perfection. My wife had the King Crab legs and they did not disappoint. Delicious food and great service. Even a complimentary creme brulee. Traditional seafood at its best. The people outside on their way to a Halloween party made for interesting scenery as well.
The food was outstanding...both had the salmon and it was perfection! Our waitress recommended the lobster bisque and once again it was a delicious dish prepared perfectly. Very satisfied with both choices. My friend had the tomato and she also was very pleased. Our waitress was knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly. She timed everything just right so we didn't have to search for her or try to get her attention. It was an extremely relaxing dinner in a beautiful setting. We would certainly come back and recommend it to others. We topped off our meal with tea and creme brulee which was creamy and sweet with a crunchy topping! All in all our expectations were not only met but exceeded. Kudos to Blue Point and their wonderful staff!!
Terrific food and service, our waiter Kim was so polite and kind and very patient as we had a limited understanding of the Menu as I’m not American, and she took time to explain every single thing, overall, the food was worth every value, although pricey. The waiter even made a in-house style cake and candle for my wife after dinner, all on he House. Found a new favorite spot for my lovely wife.
The seafood here is absolutely amazing! My wife took me here for my birthday and this place knows how to do seafood. We first shared the calamari and both ordered the “Blue Point Heaven” dish. They even gave us a couple scoops of pumpkin ice cream on the house for desert for the occasion. We sat on the upper level and fully enjoyed the quiet ambiance of the restaurant. The servers were great as well. Top Notch!
