Blue On Highland
It is too noisy.
Still the best burger in Boston. Still the best service in Boston. Makes me said that by giving it 5 stars I’m reducing my chances of getting a table here on some days of the week. However, I believe it is my duty to let my fellow foodies know that they MUST have Blue Highlander and. Vermonter burgers!
Great service makes the meal at this nice local spot.
The service was pretty good / good came out super fast. Delicious! A little loud at first but cleared out so more comfortable later on. Booth is a little tight.
Went for a drink and snack after work. Great beer list—tons of choices. Pizza and fries were delicious. Our server was super cheerful and just the right level of attentive. Even though it was 5ish on a Friday, we were able to have a conversation in our booth without having to lean in and shout.
I have always enjoyed Blue On Highland. On this occasion, I question whether or not I was charged the accurate price for my Bolognese lunch order. I did not make a fuss, but I could have sworn that the menu price was $16.00. I was charged $24.00.
Otherwise, our party of 8 was very satisfied
A pleasant lunch with a friend. A bit noisy but tolerable. Waitress let us sit for a long while after finishing so we could chat.
Nice being there for lunch in a booth. Easy to talk and have conversation. Ordered spinach and kale salad with steak tips as added protein. This is mentioned as an option under the salad listings but seemed to confuse our waitress. Salad came dressed when I said dressing on the side. Steak tips OK but not really tips. More like thin slices. Good portion size.
Lunch was excellent and the service was terrific. The waitress was very respectful that we hadn't seen each other in a long time and allowed us plenty of time for lunch and conversation.
The service was excellent!! We enjoyed our meals, lots of food. It was loud for trying to have conversations. Will go back
The food and the service were great, but it is too noisy. They need to install carpet on the floor and up the walls.
It’s always a pleasure to go to blu on Highland . Service is friendly, food is very good. Had a shrimp taco that was very flavorful
I was disappointed for the second time in my lamb kabob dish. Although the tender pieces were tasty there were several I couldn't even chew. Yuk.
One of our favorite local spots. Always delivers a great casual / gastropub dining experience.
We were seated in the back booth, the noise level was so loud we could not communicate with each other except to shout. Also, we all found the portions very large for a lunch-time meal.
Always fine for earty dining. Noise level “hectic “ as clock ticks down to dinner hour.
Service was excellent. Food choices were well thought out. Our lunch came out fast for a 1:00 pm. lunch. Waitress checked on us several times which was good. The only issue we had was the outside traffic noise when big truck went by and the front windows were open because of the beautiful day. I know you can't do much about this, but we had a booth to block some of the traffic noise. Overall, great restaurant and I would recommend to all.
Such a great place! Love the food. I would highly recommend this spot.
Seated next to the bar and uncomfortably close to another table. Initial service was very slow, as if they were short staff. The table next to ours had ordered shrimp and mussels - somehow, I didn’t get the smell of the sea, but that of magic markers when left open. Because these people placed their empty dishes on our side, we were stuck with this bad smell throughout our meal, as the wait staff never cleaned up the tables.
Our lamb skewer was undercooked and very tough, with little flavor. The salad had way too much feta and the risotto was chewy and flavorless - salt didn’t even help bring out the flavor.
The lava cake was tough from being microwaved and was too hot inside to enjoy.
The beer selection is mostly micro-brew IPAs, would have liked to have seen some lagers and ales.
Pricing was high for what was offered.
We tried, but probably won’t be back.

Food was great, well prepared. Service, excellent. A bit nousy.
This was our third time at Blue and it was just as good as the first. Our waitress highly recommended the scallops and boy was she right ~ they were outstanding. The service was excellent as well.
Being seated and the service were great, but the noise level is too high. The restaurant needs carpeting on the floors and walls.
Has a farm to table feel to the place. Modern contemporary venue. Community meet up place for locals with an air of authentic honesty and sustainable food choices. Good value.
Great place for lunch. Food and service always great!
It was a beautiful day so the windows were open to hear all the traffic, train and emergency vehicles. For this reason rated noise level high.
Having several allergies, it's difficult for me to dine at unfamiliar restaurants. Blue on Highland was on top of my problem. The host mentioned my allergy as soon as I checked in and offered a gluten-free menu. The server repeated my order back to me to clarify and then when the wrong appetizer arrived, he quickly noticed and whisked it away to redo the order. My salad was just as I ordered it and delicious. Even the decaf coffee was wonderful which is rare! Blue on Highland has a well-trained and professional team of employees.
Liked it all. Not rushed. Barry attentive to younger members.
The atmosphere is perfect. The hostess , servers and manager are all really nice. Highly recommend this place for an out for a date dinner or a night in the town.
Made reservations for brunch on Saturday only to find out, brunch was not being severed. No where posted brunch is only severed on Sunday.
Lamb kabob was perfectly cooked. Substituted the risotto with the spinach almond veggie which was OUTSTANDING. May return just to order the spinach almond veggie for lunch.
The food was good but the portion of the salad and the sad 3 ounces of chicken they put on a 16$ salad is ridiculous. This is needham not fort pointe.
Perfect neighborhood gem
Good juicy burger. Good service
We haven't been here for many years, despite living 10 miles away.. not sure why. Just not on our usual path, but everything was great . We'll definitely be back soon
Thai steak salad - awful. It is NOT Udon as described. Not even close. Soggy. Nothing crunchy. Tasteless.
Burger not delivered as ordered.
Parmesan fries cold and old.
Drinks are good, service is good.
There are many better options. Wanted to like it but the food is just bad.
A bit expensive...food is good. Noise level at the beginning of the evening was very energetic.
Good portions and tasty food. I had chicken piccata—it was excellent. Will return soon!
a favorite of ours-conveniently located and theparking is great
no valets to worry about
Fine for a casual night out, food is good but so noisy you can hardly hear the people at your own table.
We had the far corner hightop in the bar so noise level wasnt as loud as in rest of restaurant. Love Blue on Highland. Excellent scallops and salmon. Very good service. We will be back soon.
Great service and great food except the risotto was bland.
