Our server was so sweet! We enjoyed everything!
Great food. Always enjoy dinner here and trying something different. Quality apps (Lobster Escargot and Chili dusted chips with blue cheese dip). We also really enjoyed the entrees. Scallop with bacon risotto was a hit. Short rib ravioli was super tasty. Highly recommend this local establishment!
Great food as usual. Drinks were spectacular. Service was prompt and friendly. Warm and comfortable on a very cold evening. Like dining here. Saturday night parking is free on street right out front
The food was delicious. The cocktails were innovative and interesting. I had a gin cocktail that was almost like a mojito. Very refreshing! I had a key lime martini that was delicious and tasted like a slice of pie. For food, I had the lettuce wraps which were filling, tasty, and spicy! The one drawback was having to "make them" myself. That was pretty messy. A quick trip to the bathroom solved the problem, but maybe a 'build-your-own' mention in the menu would avoid confusion. For dinner I had the salmon which was very flavorful. I will absolutely go back!
Service was very good. Timing of appetizer, salad and meal was just right. Parking in downtown Dover is never easy. Patience and a couple of loops around will usually find a spot.
Great food. Waitress was really nice and friendly even though we just got appetizers. Like that u can make reservations on line.
My wife and I have been frequenting Blue Latitudes since they opened and they never disappoint. Friendly wait staff made minor adjustments to the menu to accommodate my wife's gluten-free needs! Creative and delicious cocktails, too.
I made a reservation for my Birthday but since I had never been to Blue Latitudes before I didn't really know what to expect. I read their dinner menu on the website and thought it looked fine. The ambiance was lovely and the food fantastic. The service was wonderful as well. We will be back!
Went for a late lunch. Restaurant very quiet at that time, and the waistaff was very friendly and accommodating to a food allergy. The food and coctails were delicious. Will definitely go back again.
Annual Holiday dinner with good friends. Always great service. Excellent cocktails and good food.
I enjoyed a chicken special with pasta, chunks of chicken, baby spinach and a flavorful sauce. However, I feel that it was overpriced at $21.95. My husband and I shared a huge Caesar salad, which was very good, but my husband inquired about anchovies, but there were none. He ordered the Ahi tuna for dinner, which was beautifully prepared and flavorful. We will definitely enjoy dinner here again! The Manhattans were scrumptious!
Great food and a most delightful waitress! Will definitely go back!
Our second time; better that the first. Most seating is hightop. Ambiance OK; can be noisy if bar is busy; service good; nice menu (more interesting than at last visit). I had seared tuna; husband had the special - cod loin. Each was very good. Located in a downtown mill building so parking can be a walk away; outdoor dining in good weather.
Awesome meal, excellent food. Highly recommended
I moved to Dover in November and had not dined there because google placed it in the expensive category. It was a great dining experience all around. With a gluten allergy I usually receive very basic items. The salmon I had was perfectly cooked with a delicious glaze. I was deliriously happy with everything on my plate, as were my two guests. And it was a very decent price. I will be back for sure.
Nice place with outside seating and an attentive staff. Food was very good, mine a seared chili mango salmon, served hot.
This restaurant was grossly understaffed, which then caused the domino effect of long waits for drinks and food. Our poor waitress tried hard but was rather overwhelmed. Will definitely not return.
Great evening celebrating our anniversary. Service and food was great along with the very pleasant hostess. Will return again.
Fabulous service by our waitress Christine! Tried the pulled pork pineapple flatbread -it was one of the best things I've ever eaten in my life! It just exploded with flavor! I would work on a better presentation of side veggies but other than that, I adored this place! Definitely go check it out!
I don't know Dover, New Hampshire well, but I followed the reviews here and was really glad I did. I had the salad with carrots and mango, which was very original and interesting and delicious. My boyfriend had the rare tuna wrap with was also delicious with a surprising and refreshing mix of flavors. We sat on the terrace in the courtyard, from which we could see the lock on the river and the street. It was really pretty and the service was friendly and very attentive. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone heading to Dover, especially if you can sit on the terrace.
All of our orders (lobster nugget and chicken lettuce wrap appetizers, stuffed haddock and ahi tuna entrees) were well prepared and generously portioned. Cocktails were carefully crafted -- definitely try the razzmopolitian (raspberry take on a cosmo)! Wine offerings were reasonable. Moderately high prices; reasonable given quality of the food.
Pleasant ambiance, outstanding service; noise levels low given that we there on a Sunday eve). Our impression is that quality of food/service would hold up at busier times.
Back to Blue Latitudes after some forced time away, but we had a great dinner. The menu was updated - great new options!! The lobster tempura is a great add (good job!). Drinks are always a delight and quality. Keep up the good work!
This review is for outside dining not inside dining.
Brought my mom there for Mother's Day. The service was great and the food was excellent! Definitely going to come back here when I'm in the area.
Great place for nice meal...
We always enjoy our dinners at Blue Latitudes. The menu provides a smaller portion size so it works great if you want to sample some of their wonderful appetizers and don't have much room left for dinner. Wine and beer list is varied they have some nice selections priced moderately, they don't gouge you on the price of a decent glass of wine and it is a generous pour. The service is efficient , knowledgeable and friendly, they bare present when you need them but they don't hover. Food is always good, our last visit we had the cioppino and the butternut ravioli....so wonderful.
We made reservations for a Friday evening. We walked in and there were very few customers - only one other couple sitting in the section we were seated in. We ordered nachos, and because we ordered the appetizer we (my boyfriend and I) ordered a salad, and he ordered soup. The soup and salad came out first, and when our waitress came back to check on us I inquired about the nachos. She quickly replied they'd be right out. We watched her enter the order into the computer. About 15 minutes later the nachos came out and they weren't how we ordered them (with beef). We decided to forgo them all together at that point. Overall a disappointing experience. Our waitress never asked if we wanted more to drink, and only came by the one time when we let her know about the nachos.
Won't be returning
Food was nothing spectacular especially when there is another restaurant with just about the same menu with much better prices. Not much if a variety either.
Had a great Valentine's dinner here. This place is difficult to locate as it's behind a small park in Downtown-I'd recommend parking in the grocery lot across the street. The entrees were delicious-my steak was very tasty and perfectly cooked. My date enjoyed a petite version of the salmon dish which wasn't too spicy and cooked nicely.
Service was slow to start then a little rushed-however very attentive. The specials during the week are a good value too.
Everything was excellent. From the reservation, to the seating, to the waitress, to the service in general and most importantly the food. Will definitely go back.
Great setting, service and food. Love the petite options...they were the perfect amount. The seafood and steak options were both incredibly delicious and presented well. Dessert options were decadent. The ambiance was romantic and sweet. Our waitress was kind and attentive. Definitely recommend!!! Love the sweet white lights and romantic atmosphere.
My scollops where bad !! Ending date night without haveing dinner because of loss of appetite... very disappointed this was my first time trying it here and get served BAD scallops was a HUGE disappointment!!
We've been going here for a while now and it's always great. Sometimes date night, sometimes we bring the kids -- either way it's a great night out.
With such a large group (18 people) it is not easy but our group was served quickly and food was great.
Blue Latitudes has some of the best food around. Their Filet Mignon, along with the gravy, was delicious, and my only complaint was that there wasn't more of it to satisfy my appetite. I've had their peppercorn steak tips, as well, and it was one of the best meals I've had in a long time. My girlfriend tried that this time, and while it was still very good, they went very light on the gravy this time and her medium-well steak was really just "well" and a bit burnt on the outside. I personally have always gone for medium and loved mine, but perhaps medium-well is a little harder to gauge?
Regardless, awesome food, very cool, cozy atmosphere, and we loved all the Christmas music playing. Our drinks were a bit too strong for our liking, but that's more a matter of taste than anything. I do think $27-28 for a petite filet mignon is rather steep, but this is a great place for special occasions.
Service was a bit slow but food was really good. Due to service, it's not somewhere I frequent but if you're not tight for time, it's a great place to catch up with friends.
Our waitress, Lauren, was awesome! The food was excellent and reasonably priced for the type if restaurant it was. We've paid more at Longhorns. Dessert was to die for!
We had dinner reservations for 15 women for a Saturday night. The food was pretty good for a pub style restaurant, waitress service was ok... our complaint is that it took OVER 30 minutes for us to get our first drinks! We noticed other tables near us, who were seated after us, who happened to get their drinks first. The waitress was agreeable to separate tabs for every 2 people in the party, which is a great benefit.
I had not been there since the flooding problem and the change is style of restaurant. I did not enjoy it as much as I had the previous times we had visited. It was on the elegant side and that is no longer the case.
The menu made me think it was going to be mediocre, but the food was very good. Service was great!
