Food was great but was shadowed by a lack of personnel. Food and drinks took far too long to come out.
Our server was the nicest and most helpful. Great food and drinks. Lovely table outside. Very accommodating during covid and just a cool place for brunch.
Used to dine here pre-pandemic. My favorite dish - shrimp with grits was no longer on the menu. We started out with the warm crab dip which was tasty but had very little crab. Next, I tried the mussels which were just OK. The burger was good but the fries were warm and slightly soggy. My spouse got the chopped chicken salad. She said the chicken tasted like it was pre-cooked and then warmed up. It was not good. Service was fine. Overall, very disappointing when compared to my experiences in the past
Great food! Really beautiful restaurant. The service was pretty slow and the drinks are overpriced but overall, a good experience. I would most.likely go back again.
Overall Decent Food Was Average
After us and a few others stood around the lobby for at least five minutes on a Sunday morning for brunch, we were eventually greeted by a host that appeared to want to be anywhere but the Blue Hound. It wasn't very busy at all. The couple ahead of us asked for a table for two and was told that it would be about a 30 minute wait. They chose to go elsewhere. We had reservations and were seated. I have no idea why the other couple had to go elsewhere. We were there for over an hour and the place was never very busy. Started out with $14 mimosas! Haven't been to many Sunday brunches that charge $14 for each mimosa. So we were $56 in before we even got our food. The food was nothing that jumped out to either myself or my wife. Not bad, but nothing special. The service was pretty good, but the whole vibe that started with the host and the spendy mimosas just didn't set a very good tone. So when the food didn't wow us, we had to chalk it up to a restaurant to cross off our list.
Good ambience and service was good. Food wasn't really my style. Salmon was also overcooked when it was supposed to be medium rare.
The food was fantastic and unique, and the service was wonderful. We would definitely go back!
We made last minute reservations for my birthday, I have to say overall it was a good choice ! We ordered the beef tenderloin and the beef short ribs. All the food was great but the beef short rib was amazing, I highly recommend trying it. Service was excellent from the front staff to our server. We truly enjoyed our experience here !
My spouse ordered the lobster mac and cheese. According to him, there was hardly any cheese and just roux and cream. As you can imagine, he was very disappointed. Also, we ordered the grilled brussel sprouts which were delicious, but the stems were left on. I imagine this was according to the whim of the chef, but given the size of the sprouts, it made eating a tad challenging.
What A Fantastic Gem Of A Restaurant & Bar! All Of The Staff Were So Friendly. Colleen Our Server Was Fantastic! She Made My Wife And I Feel So Special and Was So Attentive, She Surprised Us With A Little Treat As We Are Celebrating Our Wedding Anniversary This Evening. We Definitely Will Be Back Again! Thank You Colleen And The Incredible Staff For A Memorable Night.
We were standing in the front for a good 20 mins before we finally got a hold of someone to seat us. It took a good while for us to get our food, our party of 4 each finished two drinks before our food actually came out. We went for brunch it was alright
food was terrible for the price, all of it was wildly under seasoned
Staff admitted to being short-staffed. They managed and I was a happy customer. Will revisit again.
This was our 1st visit for Brunch. The food was good, the price and location was good. The service was not. It was real slow and our Bloody Mary and Sprite took long and then our check. The server, was cleaning other tables and preparing food. Maybe just short staffed. But, he did take our Bloody Mary off the tab.
Great fries and fun outside spot!
Been here many times for work meetings. Took the family this time during Spring break. Still pretty good food and cocktails. Does not necessarily cater to families though.
Three of six orders were wrong or had to be sent back. Management offered compensation. Service and atmosphere were good.
We have been here many times over and our food and drinks have taken a downward spiral. The food was tasteless, drinks old fashioned was changed and had a cough syrup taste to it, the dirty martini tasted more of like the mix than anything else. Lobster Mac was bland with maybe 3 pieces of lobster. Just a poor evening of food and drinks for a very large bill, which isn’t a problem if the food and drinks was up to par which it wasn’t.
The signature old fashion was really good. Served with a large square ice cube and orange garnish. The salmon was delicious as well!
Great Service Bartender was able to whip up a drink on a dime that wasn’t on the menu for my wife.
Outstanding! Great service, wonderful wine and amazing food. Felt safe and had a great time.
The food was beyond amazing. Some of the best lobster I’ve ever had. Our waiter was the best. He made sure to take care of my girlfriend who had a few allergies. Even getting her a different desert. Highly recommended.
Great service, food, and drinks.
Shishito peppers and mussels were great as an appetizer. The Pasta did not disappoint. Great cocktails.
Dinner before the theater.
Good food, expensive cocktails, slow service
Nice place! Good service as well, very nice hostess. Our fault was doing the Valentines Day special. It was $45 for each couples entree... Food on the “deal” wasn’t great, we could barely finish it. However, the appetizer we got apart from the deal was very good. Rest of menu looked appealing! Drinks were good too. Next time we just won’t order a holiday special! Will definitely try again
Loved the food and the service. Will definitely return!
Great food and relaxing environment! Excellent venue for Sunday brunch!
Excellent service and drinks. Always on the top of the list whenever in AZ.
had a nice dinner here and was really impressed with the quality and taste of the steamed mussels with chorizo, just scrumptious, the black cod (or butter fish) was good, but I felt was "overdressed" with a sauce, balanced with vinegared onions & green & white asparagus. wonderful ice cream and expresso dessert. Great and attentive service, and an overall pleasant experience.
Really cool and trendy downtown Phoenix spot with great views and even better service! The food was good and it had a great variety of craft cocktails. Overall, will probably go back and check it out!
The service was Prompt and friendly. We were at the end of a row and somewhat too close to the kitchen. It was the New Year's prix fixe (the proper spelling) dinner, so we were limited to choice, however it was our decision to attend that evening. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. This was our second time at the restaurant.
Incredibly disappointing!! I used to love this place. Was great food and service 4 Christmas ago. This year was suppose to have special lights and be decked out but service sucked food sucked ended up sitting on the patio which was fine but totally overpriced. Just very disappointed.
The food and service was phenomenal! Definitely recommend starting with the apps! The crab dip, Brussels sprouts and lamb meatballs were so good!
Great ambience! Service was exceptional. Food was delicious
The food was great especially the appetizer Blistered Shishito Peppers. We ate there on Christmas and everyone was so friendly. The bartenders were especially amazing having to make drinks and play waiter.
Wanted to make it to Christmas pop up with family as we went a few years ago & it was a lot of fun. To say we were disappointed is putting it mildly. Holiday decorations were half what they were the last time & our server /bar tender was horrible. We had reservations & were seated promptly , I could tell immediately the bar tender obviously didn’t want to be there . We were basically just asked what we were drinking , we were never asked if we wanted food the entire visit. The lack of hospitality & the lack luster holiday decorations not to mention overly priced tasteless drinks will definitely have me questioning ever going back .
