A great downtown go to.
We had a wonderful dinner at Blue Hound. Excellent drinks, food, and our server was outstanding. Next time we are in Phoenix we would definitely return.
From drinks to food everything was delicious. Presentation and taste was perfect. Loved the decor and your staff were friendly. We will be back!
Try the grouper, the sauce was outstanding.
Great service, delicious meal and drinks. Love the Frosted Windowpane cocktail!
Service and ambiance was great! Drinks were very good. I ordered the chicken. It was a little on the dry side, but still good. Veggies and sides were excellent
Food was just ok for the price. Our cocktails were so so. We did enjoy the Brussels sprout starter and Cesar for the table.
Beautiful view of downtown, a bit loud, but the food and service were good.
First timers, we went prior to a concert. Really were pleased with the menu choices, food presentation, and quality! Will definitely go again.
Food was outstanding. Great service and wonderful recommendations from our waiter.
This place is beautiful and the food is fantastic. I will be back!
Loved that you can use the entry couches and chairs for cocktails/HH. Service was very attentive even in the entry area. Food was ok and drinks are a little expensive .
Outstanding food and service. Oh! they validate your parking too. Excellent recommendation for someone who enjoys gourmet food.
Someone, maybe a manager? Came around to the table. She suggested the carmelized cauliflower steak. She went on to tell us that it was "A huge steak of wonderful cauliflower." When the meal arrived, it was a plate of quinoa, with five small cauliflower florets on top of the quinoa. When I brought it to this woman's attention, she said "I'm sorry the meal did not meet your expectations." To which I responded "Ma'am, you set the expectation. What was served was nothing at all even similar to what you said would be served." She shrugged and said "Oh." then walked away. The dish was removed from the bill. I did appreciate that. However, they charged the full $24 for my husbands exact same dish.
We had a wonderful evening the service was excellent 🤩the chef even whipped up a creative shrimp dish which we all appreciated atmosphere fantastic highly recommend this restaurant❗️
Overall it was real good. The manager was super helpful explaining the items on the menu. She was tops.
Went before a concert. Location was within walking distance, food was AMAZING, and service and vibe were top notch. Really glad we found this place.
Wonderful service, fantastic cocktails and wine. My husband’s entree was very salty (roasted chicken), but everything else we had was amazing.
Service was excellent and attentive. Disappointed that my first choice for an entree was not available, but my second choice was very good. Food presentation was appealing and appetizing.
I really wanted to like this restaurant. However, from the hostess who told us we had to wait for ten minutes because we were early (and offered no other alternatives, no suggestion that the bar was open, nothing) to the server, who was very pleasant, but brought out all our shared dishes without servingware, we continued to be disappointed during our meal. The food was good, but mostly average, considering the prices. I would not choose to return.
We went for the cocktails. Excellent Vesper and our service was fantastic. The food was off. The Brussels Sprouts were too salty to eat. The Pate was sweet - my Dad loved it but I couldn’t eat it. The Shishito Peppers were also oversalted and we did not finish them. We didn’t have entrees so I can’t comment on those. For sure we will be back but for the cocktails only!!
They have changed the menu and removed some of their best tasting dishes... several which were gluten free. If you are gluten free this is not your restaurant!! Will not be back.
Food was excellent! I ordered a salad with steak and it was tasty. I loved the vinaigrette dressing. The steak was a tough, but cooked perfectly medium.
My daughter got the special, which was duck, with various vegetables prepared various ways. She also got the brie mushroom appetizer. She said both were EXCELLENT.
Great drinks too, I got the Windowpane and it was splendid - not sweet, just how I like it. My daughter's martini was good, but not a traditional martini.
Service was a little slow, we had a wait a long time to get our check, but the waitress was very nice. Looking forward to going back with my husband.
Blue Hound Kitchen & Cocktails food was absolutely incredible and I highly recommend it!
Eh. Food ok. There’s better out there in downtown Phoenix. Portions small, even for me being a small woman. Seems like they try too hard to be “unique.” Ambiance is fantastic. Very nice for a date or special occasion
Overall we would recommend Blue Hound
Hostess was excellent
Food was good but a little slow to come out
Drinks were excellent
Service was the main issue
Just very slow and didn’t seem to care until we made a fuss about our drinks sitting at the bar for 10 mins
After that our server stepped up and pushed out an ok service, still not as ‘present’ as this level of restaurant/client should expect
The bill for 4 adults plus a kids meal was over $300 (included 2 drinks per adult, 4 mains and 3 appetizers but no dessert or coffee or after dinner drinks) but that’s not chump change - basically $75 per head
Has the potential to be 5* but faster service out of the kitchen and more attentiveness from the servers needed to move up that final star.
Wonderful ambiance and staff! We were actually a bit late and they were so accommodating. Thank you. My family and I had a great dinner.
Stopped into the Blue Hound before a show at Comerica. We had a wonderful time. The drinks were great. I had the signature Old Fashion and it was perfect. The chopped salad was next and it was very large we split it and still left some behind. We also split the 8 OZ Flat Iron and sides of Potatoes and Mushrooms all were excellent. Service was on point and it is a nice space as well.
We haven’t been here in awhile Wow the menu is so much better!
It was our official 2 year Anniversary and I know my wife had been wanting to try this place. The menu had some great choices we had the steak tartare (very good), Ceasar Salad for two (more like for four, good),Osso Buco and shrimp and grits (very good). The waiter just wasn’t very enthusiastic, we started out great drinks and steak tartare and from there it went down hill. We had to ask him to order our meal and once finished with the appetizer the plate just sat there, they brought out the salad and the dish still was still there, he came to check on us and the dirty empty dish still sat there, up until just before they brought out the main course when it was finally removed. The food was great and would go back to try something else. But once we where done with our meal he came over to us with check in hand and he didn’t offer any desert, but when he asked if we wanted anything else we felt as though he didn’t want to help us with anything because he was standing there with check in hand. At which point we just said “No”! We did not feel welcome. The last thing is I don’t expect anything for free but through Open Table they asked if this was a special occasion and I replied that it was our 12th Anniversary. So I was hoping for at least a paper plate with Happy Anniversary written on it with a sharpie. So when when he came up with check in hand before asking if we want any desert, I was immediately turned off. Now I don’t know if Open Table shares this info with the restaurant but if they ask I kind of expect something even a “Congratulations and we our glad you chose us to spend your special day with us!” The food was very Good!!
The entrees and sides were delicious. The shrimp cocktail was overpriced, do not order. Drinks were good.
Absolutely amazing, truly!!!! Had the greatest food with such wonderful service! 100% recommend.
Great handmade cocktails and food
Yummy food and immediately when we sat down the waitress asked if we had an event we were going to so they could time the meal appropriately. Really glad we went here, it was a fun spot with great food!
Stopped here for a quick lunch after landing in Phoenix and prior to driving to Sedona. Great food and service
Really great service and wonderful food!
Unfortunately, when I arrived, there was an extremely noxious deodorizer inside hotel. I thought maybe it would not be so bad once I got inside restaurant, but after sitting for a few minutes, it was severe. It is like a bathroom deodorizer. I notified them I had Open Table res, then notified them I had to leave due to smell. Unfortunately, they told Open Table I no showed, which was false.
Service has dropped off considerably in my last few visits. Unwelcoming, slow, and not conducive to a business lunch. The food is simple and consistent, but the overall experience poor. Would not recommend.
Unbelievable bartender but he was openly sarcastic to his colleagues in front of patrons.
