Excellent service and drinks. Always on the top of the list whenever in AZ.
had a nice dinner here and was really impressed with the quality and taste of the steamed mussels with chorizo, just scrumptious, the black cod (or butter fish) was good, but I felt was "overdressed" with a sauce, balanced with vinegared onions & green & white asparagus. wonderful ice cream and expresso dessert. Great and attentive service, and an overall pleasant experience.
Really cool and trendy downtown Phoenix spot with great views and even better service! The food was good and it had a great variety of craft cocktails. Overall, will probably go back and check it out!
The service was Prompt and friendly. We were at the end of a row and somewhat too close to the kitchen. It was the New Year's prix fixe (the proper spelling) dinner, so we were limited to choice, however it was our decision to attend that evening. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. This was our second time at the restaurant.
Incredibly disappointing!! I used to love this place. Was great food and service 4 Christmas ago. This year was suppose to have special lights and be decked out but service sucked food sucked ended up sitting on the patio which was fine but totally overpriced. Just very disappointed.
The food and service was phenomenal! Definitely recommend starting with the apps! The crab dip, Brussels sprouts and lamb meatballs were so good!
Great ambience! Service was exceptional. Food was delicious
The food was great especially the appetizer Blistered Shishito Peppers. We ate there on Christmas and everyone was so friendly. The bartenders were especially amazing having to make drinks and play waiter.
Wanted to make it to Christmas pop up with family as we went a few years ago & it was a lot of fun. To say we were disappointed is putting it mildly. Holiday decorations were half what they were the last time & our server /bar tender was horrible. We had reservations & were seated promptly , I could tell immediately the bar tender obviously didn’t want to be there . We were basically just asked what we were drinking , we were never asked if we wanted food the entire visit. The lack of hospitality & the lack luster holiday decorations not to mention overly priced tasteless drinks will definitely have me questioning ever going back .
It was horrible, The service was horrible the everything was horrible about it. And I felt like we got overcharged for things as we were there from Thursday and said they were going to give us a free drink I never took it off the bill.
Terrible food and drinks. The drinks that were prepared tasted as if they were prepared by a 12 year old. The food was also equally disappointing. Do not recommend. Do not waste your money.
The food was very good, up until dessert. Started with the mussel appetizer. We had beef rib and beef tenderloin for entrees. These were delicious. Rib was tender and flavorful. Solid drinks, but an $18 old fashioned is pricey. The dessert was very bad. Was a mixed berry cobbler, but seemed like warm jelly with oats thrown on top. Would go back, but probably skip dessert.
Food was just not great. I’m not sure how you get ranch dressing to taste like that, but it’s Ranch dressing guys. Shouldn’t be tiny and shouldn’t taste like hot feet smell. Now, let’s get to the burger. Well done means no pink, I got medium rare. 7 o’clock at night and kids in the bar??? Horrible experience.
Colleen is the best! Colleen was our server. On top of things & friendly.
We went for Thanksgiving as we were left unexpectedly in town and away from home during the holiday. My in laws ordered the pre fix and we ordered just about everything else. Not a single complaint about anything. Every single dish and drink was delicious.
From start to finish the service was impeccable. Polite and elegant enough to have a sense of occasion but informal enough to make us all feel comfortable. I have two children and our entire party felt right at home.
Great experience! The restaurant was not overly crowded and I felt safe there with rise of Covid-19 happening. We ordered a few appetizers: Mussels, Crab dip and Brussel Sprouts. All were amazing and the crab dip was our favorite. I ordered the short rib for dinner which was 10/10. Service was good as well but the food is the most memorable part. I would most definitely go back.
I love The Blue Hound for their awesome cocktails and great food. It is always quality. When we dined last, the place was very sparse, due to Covid restrictions, but they didn’t seem very excited to have us there. We had reservations, but didn’t need them. We weren’t welcomed very warmly by anyone, excepts the bartenders who were very tepid to our presence. The bartenders (behind the bar) always seem a bit snooty when I’ve been in the past. Maybe it’s because they mix a mean cocktail and have craft ice? Their cocktails need to be served with a bit of snootiness? I’m not sure if that is the best word to describe them, but they never seem overly friendly. They guy (pre-Covid) that takes orders in the bar area (we didn’t see him this most recent visit) is very friendly and provides great service. Can’t wait for the Christmas transformation! Perhaps drinks will be served with a bit of Christmas spirit.
Colleen was absolutely amazing and super helpful with menu suggestions. She even had some tips for where to go after dinner that we might enjoy.
Clayton is the best server. So friendly, funny and oersonable
Our waiter seemed very distracted and left us waiting for drinks and orders. It seemed to take a long time in between drinks and desert. On a good note the Sea Bass was amazing!
Colleen was the absolute sweetest server! She found out it was our girlfriends birthday and treated us to a round of champagne!
The food was amazing! We will definitely return!
Mother and daughter (12 yrs old) date.
Loved the ambience. I have not been downtown that much and it was nice to go out downtown. The food was really good and we had a great night. I have not gone out recently but the alcohol seemed a little over priced. I would go back for a date night for sure. Based the total bill it will be for special occasions.
Excellent and professional service. Great food and lovely ambiance
Colleen is the best host and waiter I have known. I dine out 3 to 4 nights per week and she’s absolutely fantastic.
Great sevice, and the cheese board was delicious.
Absolutely wonderful evening. Greeted with celebratory champagne for my wife’s accomplishment. Food was spot on as we remembered. Service was perfect
Great cocktails and food. We wanted to try everything on the menu! What we ordered was delicious.
Not sure if the Ceasar Salad was a new menu item or what but it was not good. It was sauced right, but it had chunks of preserved lemon in it. I suppose they are eatable but not something that I would recommend. There were white anchovies but the filets were mixed in for an unpleasant surprise. There was no bite from the lemon and no tang from the anchovies.
The Ribeye was perfectly cooked to medium rare plus but there was little to no seasoning on it, so pretty bland (I added a ton of salt and pepper to it at the table). It was served with a ill-conceived steak sauce that I sampled and set aside.
The menu did not have much to it, very light on choices.
The service was good and everyone was very nice. However, I'm probably not going back. Perhaps I caught them on a off night (Thursday) but I see no reason to come back.
The food was over priced and okay to bad. My son got a burger (safe bet) but it was gross and burnt. I got a salad, it was okay. Later that night we had to go out to a different restaurant to eat because our dinner was not satisfying at all.
With all that is going on in the country the place was pretty much empty. Food was not as good as it has been in the past, however I would still recommend based on previous experience.
Food good. Service a little frenetic.
We had brunch and the food was good but we ordered pretty standard items. Other items might have been more wow-worthy. We definitely did not care for the bloody Mary’s. They add curry and neither of us are curry fans. I think many people order a drink like bloody Mary’s because they like the taste of a standard Bloody Mary. Adding horseradish, pickles, olives, veggies in general or even a lot of heat is all well within range but the curry was unpleasantly outside the bounds. If you love curry, order these.
Our waitress was wonderful and the service and ambiance were outstanding.
What a great experience! The service staff was friendly, the atmosphere was trendy yet relaxed, perfect for celebrating a special occasion. The food was FANTASTIC and came out very quickly. We will visit again next time we're in town!
Good service and cool atmosphere, but food was extremely underwhelming (and overpriced for the quality).
We really liked the location and ambiance of this place. Good for a group of people planning on going to the comedy club after.
The shishito peppers and salmon were great. Unfortunately, my steak was completely overcooked while my brother-in-laws bone in pork chop came out under cooked.
Was disappointed that they didn't have a gluten free menu or even items marked this day and age.
A wonderful easy to start the evening of dinner and symphony. The reservation was ready on time greeted by pleasant hostesses the menu was varied with excellent choices. The food was delicious and the service superb. Ain’t beat this restaurant for class and quality.
Eaten here several times and never disappointed. Well, except for the fact that they don’t have the deviled eggs anymore.
We sat on the patio and it was delightful! Our server, Colleen, was knowledgeable on the menu and gave us excellent recommendations. And those cocktails were amazing! Try the “art of malting” and you will not be disappointed! We will be back!
