Ryan was a very good waiter and was attentive. Swordfish was not hot and was not particularly flavorful. We had to ask for salt and pepper. Spaghetti squash with fennel side was unremarkable and a very small portion. Also, the sound level was plain old loud and annoying. Not what I would call energetic. Overall, a big disappointment.
Great cocktails! Didn’t care for the hotel/mall/plaza vibe. Food was just ok. They didn’t have the reservations but were able to seat us anyway. Service was great too!
Sat at the bar and the food was excellent!!
How wonderful the Blue Hound is back. The food was great-sweet potato bowl amazing. The Chef was trying out some new tastes and we even got to sample those. Downtown workers and guests MUST eat here. Locals, it is worth the trip downtown- and they validate parking!
I have been to the Blue Hound several times for appetizers and drinks before an event, never dinner. It was a wonderful experience from the host and the front to our waiter Adam! The food and drinks were great! Would recommend this to anyone for a very nice evening out.
Sunday brunch at Blue Hound was delicious! Enjoyed a bottle of yummy champagne and all of our dishes were delicious. Our server was attentive and engaging.
have been there several times and it seems like the portions are smaller and smaller and it goes up up up....reallly not worth the money. Drinks are worth it:)
First time visit and it was outstanding! Great place for date night or to go to before a concert or sporting event. Great service, food and ambiance!
Great dinner! Pasta of the night was exceptional! Great choice for our first night in Phoenix
Fantastic meal! My husband and I ordered about 4 apps along with the pasta of “the moment.” We ate like kings, food was delicious and our server was so friendly and awesome!
Pasta was undercooked, pork not fried enough. The main vegan meal was horribly overpriced, $29 for a couple of large mushrooms, some cauliflower and mashed vegetables. Poutine was great. Overall, not high value.
Food was ok but was over priced.Drinks were delicious Our server was friendly but there was no dining experience. Drink orders were taken one at a time and before someone se could order a drink they had run off. We had to flag them down when we wanted to order anything. I woukd come back for the bar experience but not much more.
Great food. The Octopus was done well & my wife had the Chicken which she just raved about. Our server was wonderful and very attentive. We will definitely go back.
The people and service is great. The food is mediocre. A few years ago it was a great eating destination then it has been consistently going downhill I hope they do something to bring it back.
Been here a few times. It use to be good but the last two times my group and I have been very disappointed. The food pricing is way over priced for what you get. The food now is always very simple, over cooked and salty for paying over $30 a plate.
We didn't realize it was connected to the Kimpton Polaris Hotel until we got there. We were early--they hadn't officially opened yet. They served us a drink anyway and took our orders. Food was unique and very tasty. Like all Kimpton associated restaurants that we have been to -- you can't go wrong with them. Nice people in every way.
The team did a great job accomodating us when we arrived early for our reservation. Adam was our waiter and did a fantastic job attending to us, he even made a great drink recommendation! Staff dress is professional and the dining area is clean.
I made a reservation for 5:30 because we were going to the Arizona Federal Theatre for a show at 7:00. We were celebrating my husbands birthday. We arrived at 5:15 and the person who sat us welcomed and acknowledged the birthday. We were seated in the bar even though there were two tables open in the restaurant area. The noise level was high and the waiter is also the bartender. He was doing the best he could because the restaurant was packed and he had to tend the bar and wait the tables.
Our order was taken in a reasonable amount of time but our salad took 25 minutes and that was only after we asked about it. We shared a tenderloin and fries. Fries were a bit soft. The steak was tasty but we ordered medium and it was closer to medium-rare.
Excellent ambiance and customer service. Food was consistent and delicious.
The space is very cool and I imagine the patio area would be very nice in good weather. The food was good but nothing special. I think the Brussels sprouts were the best thing we ordered.
Server was attentive and personable. Atmosphere was impressive. Overall service was prompt and respectful.
Food quality was poor. EVERYTHING was sub par in terms of temperature except the side of fries. I would rate it on taste but the temperature made it borderline worthy of becoming a Karen and sending it back. Recommend they invest in a timer or a microwave.
Drinks were nice and strong. Exactly what was described.
Overall a 4/10 in my book and wouldn’t go back unless significant improvements were implemented.
We enjoyed the food and ambiance but the restaurant does get a little hot and uncomfortable. Also thought the prices were a little high but, the food was very good.
The food was very good. It was a somewhat limited brunch menu. Service was excellent. I hear a new menu is coming and I will definitely return.
Food was good and decent portion. Service slow but food was fast. We enjoyed ourselves and the reccomendation were good. We would go back.
Easy to find with parking underneath. The food was wonderful with our server meeting all expectations. All 4 of us tried something different and each dish was delicious
We were looking for a place to have dinner before the baseball game and this did not disappoint.
Birthday dinner…. Ryan, our server was excellent. The acoustics were not good, so we had a slightly hard time hearing ourselves & our server. Food was very yummy.
Very good burgers..
Will definitely come back again.
Took partner here for long awaited date night. Everything was great & the cocktails are creative and exceptional.
Service was amazing
This place was…good. There seemed to be some recent changes to the menu and wine list. The Shishido peppers were the star of the show. The lamb meatballs we’re just OK. The salmon had a nice crispy skin and the broccolini was roasted very well. The beef rib was under seasoned and needed salt. Chocolate cake was delicious. Cammi was our server and she was very informative and did a great job. The atmosphere is very cool.
Dining room was bright it was like eating in a cafeteria . $22 meat and cheese board was pathetically small With 4 pieces of bread as the filler. Three pieces of very thin salami and a about 2 oz of prosciutto . We left after that because we were so in impressed with the app.we did see a couple of entree that looked good on the way out but at that point we were out
Great food prepared perfectly! Service was also good! Would definitely go back!
Great food and cocktails
Just a great place for a nice casual dinner. Hubby had the beef tenderloin - he raved about it. I opted for the beef rib - outstanding! So tender and what flavor. Oh, we shared a caesar sald and it was also great shaved parm. cheese on it, terrific. The warm crab dip is a great appetizer. Matthew was our waiter and did a great job. Top notch.
Brunch was great. I would definitely come again.
The entire experience from start to finish was great! I was sat immediately, and greeted instantly by our server. Our server was quick and efficient! I had the No Silly Hats drink which was a Mezcal drink and was amazinggg, I also had the Chicken and Hashbrown Potato waffle which was also really good! Overall it was great and had great city views! Highly recommend! Also dog friendly patio is always a plus! They even brought my pup a water bowl!
This was an all around disappointment. Made a reservation for a business dinner I was hosting and it gave me the option to choose patio seating. I was super excited as the menu looked amazing! Unfortunately we were seated at a table that wasn’t even inside the restaurant. It was in the lobby of the hotel. And when we went to sit down I was asked by a man in a chefs jacket “did someone tell you that you could sit here?” There we’re so many better ways to ask if we had a reservation. Food was subpar and lacked flavor. Specifically, crab dip, lobster mac n cheese and the entire bbq plate were the worst. I will say the lamb meatballs, shishito peppers and charcuterie were good. To finish it all off our server who was very unengaged the entire time, had to clarify when I gave him my card that it was for the whole table. It was a very strange and disappointing experience. Was hoping to really treat our guests to something special. To be fair, it was a big game night for the Suns, and it may have been a busy day for them, still doesn’t warrant the lack of service.
The food is delicious, but the service is slow. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would recommend.
