Had reservations yet took a bit to get seated they were out of beers and menu options not much to pick from
Wonderful environment, service, and food. We will be back!
Amazing food, life changing old fashions, worthit everytime. Never been disappointed. 100% recommend trying.
One of my favorite venues downtown. It is suitable for either business lunches or dinner with friends. The decor is modern and cozy. The service is always outstanding. The food presentation is excellent. The menu changes often, which is good and bad. You love a certain dish or cocktail that may not be available next time, causing temporary disappointment. But there always seems to be something new and good you discover. Dinner is pricey, but you get what you pay for. Blue Hound is worth the price.
Had a lovely team dinner here. Everyone’s food was delicious and the service was great. Will be coming back again for sure.
We had another great experience at Blue Hound Kitchen and Cocktails. Our server this time was exceptionally fun and friendly and the salmon and steak were outstanding. This is by far our favorite downtown Phoenix restaurant.
After some confusion with the hostess giving away our reserved table, the manager, hostess and servers were phenomenal to make their mistake right. They were kind, treated us with respect and listened as we told the story of our engagement that morning. It was a special night. Food was fantastic and the staff were amazing! Thank you!!
Our waiter Clayton was knowledgeable and attentive.
Came in on New Year’s Day, had a great old fashioned, broccoli, and New York bone in. My friend had the Mac and cheese and fries and left the plate clean. Can’t remember our servers name but she was super chill and patient with us (I tend to talk a lot and forget to look at the menu). My friend Jimmy recommended this place since he used to work there and it did not disappoint!
Absolutely amazing NYE Dinner the poached halibut was out of this world as was the yams, tart and carrot cake,
We had a wonderful experience for New Year's Eve - the lamb stroganoff was amazing as was the yellowtail and the carrot cake. Love the atmosphere and the service was spot on.
Christmas Day dinner with the family during their Christmas ‘Miracle’ pop up. It was wonderful and we’ll come back next year if they do it again!
We were disappointed by the special meal. It came 5 minutes after we ordered it which seemed like it was just being served out of a steam table. Drinks were very expensive.
Nostalgic Christmas decor with holiday ambiance that proved to be delightful. While the food and drinks were above average, not excellent. Service was acceptable, though we found ourselves between shifts. Interesting lunch menu, though somewhat limited. Emphasis is on the cocktails. Will try again when downtown . . . probably, great stop prior to a sporting event!
The bartender (young lady) made an excellent drink. The waiter was very good and attentive. We will certainly return.
Quaint, good cocktails, atmosphere service and views. Chill, but fun.
Was not an entirely bad experience, but we won't be going again. Were not set up to handle our request for seating with a wheelchair (we provided several days advanced notice). One manager basically said we were out of luck with the seating situation, but got another manager who graciously found us another table. Burger looked good. Fries were excellent. Squash apple soup was good. Braised short rib special for the holiday was okay, but not great. Coffee was not hot. Desserts were good, but very small, especially for sharing. It was Christmas Day and I think overall we were disappointed.
Cute Christmas decorations but not a place I'd go back to because of the food. Nothing we ordered was great, maybe the fries but that's hard to mess up
We did the Miracle Bar and Christmas eats - awesome lamb and tasty drinks all around!
Didn’t like the brunch menu and website didn’t say that’s all that is served on weekends.
I'll give you the pros 1st period our entire party agreed that the food was excellent. Our service was also pretty good, the audience was e Excellent and very festive. Pros were as follows , We went specifically for the drinks not knowing there would be a very limited selection available. We enjoyed what we shows it just would have been nice to not have to settle. Also it took about 20 minutes or more to get our drinks once we placed the order. That was a little bit frustrating. Another thing that was kind of discouraging was when the host is satisfied our table I and asked if we could have one of the to available tables that were by the window as to enjoy the view, we were told we weren't allowed because they were reserved for other people however 1 of the tables were never seated and stayed open for the entire 3 hours we were there. I really hate when restaurants refused to seat Per your request and then the table and up not being occupied at all. Anyway, we will go back again for the miracle season but we will also go back one they bring back their full drink and dinner menu. By the way the pork chop was outstanding and was probably the best thing on the menu that evening!
We've eaten here before during the holiday season, and the best part of it is watching the ice skaters below while we dine, so make sure if the rink is open that you ask for a table with a view of the rink. The food is consistent, and the wait staff attentive.
Over priced for what you get. Everything sounded good on the menu but in reality the food was underwhelming at best. 2 brunch entrees (breakfast tacos), 2 coffees and a child’s meal =$60. Maybe it’s more of a dinner place that tries to capitalize on the brunch crowd.
The food and the service was excellent. The atmosphere was a bit loud and the decor was good.
This would not be our go to place for dinner. It was basically a bar with an attached dining area. The food was expensive and the service was sub par.
Just not that good
First time visit during the Christmas Miracle festivities. The environment was festive and the seasonal drinks were very good. The food, a Tomahawk pork chop and Lamb Bolognese, were both above average. Our server, Carolina, was very knowledgeable and professional and overall did a great job.
Manager and chefs were great. recommend going there. family members stay at hotel and eat in restaurant
Amazing menu and very tasty food. Devann was so nice. Very well decorated for the holidays! Cheers!!!
Fun waitress! Very festive for holidays! Food very good! Loved the carrot soup!
I was there before and during happy hour. Noise level was loud during happy hour but the place was packed. The food is pricey but delicious. I would say just enough to say I am ok with the amount. Don't expect a buffet to eat it all. Definitely for special occasions . We celebrated multiple birthdays at once then off to a suns game. Great times!!!
We went to see the pop up Christmas bar . It was super cute and fun . If they do it every year we decided we will make it tradition to do it yearly . The Ambience was amazing we loved every min of it . We stuck with the Christmas theme and did the holiday menu. The food wasn’t bad but i thought they could of had better selections . For drinks we also stuck with the Christmas theme . They came in super cute glasses . I just wish the drinks were a bit stronger for the amount they were charging . I had 3 drinks and left there as if i had no alcohol in my system . Over all it was a great night .
Consistently excellent service and food. Their salads are outstanding! Christmas decorations are awesome!
Love the decor great flavor with the food. I had the Lamb Bolognese, Wild mushrooms and a juicy steak. Two thumbs up and I know food.
Fantastic restaurant for Thanksgiving dinner. The mea lwas amazing, the restaurant was decorated for the holidays and the wait staff was dressed up in ugly sweaters! The Thankgiving dinner (off menu) was so good and the turkey was perfection!
Also great are the spicy fries (just the right amt of kick) and the dirty chai pot dessert.
We will definitely be back!
Thanksgiving 2019 was a huge success at Blue hound. We were so thrilled with the Turkey Dinner and dessert options. The Miracle Pop Up Bar was amazing! So festive and the drinks we had were amazing!
They really put the quality work into those drinks. Not too sweet and everything tasted like it was crafted with love.
Thanks for a great holiday!
We had a very nice Thanksgiving meal at Blue Hound and hope to return to try some other things on your regular menu. Thanks for offering a holiday meal that was both delicious and not outrageously expensive. Happy holidays!
It's a lovely place, decorations were gorgeous and the food was even more perfect!
Outstanding good and service. Don’t miss this great spot inside the Paloma’s Hotel downtown Phoenix!!
Amazing food and service. It's quickly becoming a favorite with friends and family.
