We reserved a table but opted to have dinner at the bar. We both ordered the Farmer’s Feast tasting menu and did not look back. Every course was perfection. I will definitely be making another trip back.

Two things here:

1) The subterranean location is, well, a subterranean location. A little dark and low-ceilinged.
2) Half of the first round of drinks ended up in one of my party's lap. We did not make a fuss. They were prompt about mopping up/drying out. They comped the first round of drinks, an underwhelming gesture.

Wow, just wow. My husband and I were both blown away during our visit. Everything was absolutely amazing. Food is beyond spectacular; service is impeccable. I would not hesitate to go back next time we're in NYC. Pro-tip: order the extended tasting menu. trust.

Everything tastes so precise like in HD. It is clever, creative and delicious. The service is efficient and kind but a bit too fast. The atmosphere is welcoming and lively. A slightly brighter lighting would better show the beautiful colors and composition of the splendid plates. Overall outstanding food and a great evening.

The food is delicious and interesting without being overwrought, the service is warm, attentive and enthusiastic, and they always go the extra mile whenever given the chance. I love this place. I think it’s a great place to bring people who are deeply interested in food, but also people who are put off by some of the things that are normally associated with the experience of so-called “fine dining.” Maybe it’s not great for something like a pre-Broadway dinner—the service is excellent in every way, but it would be a shame to go here if you don’t have the time to really savor the food and overall experience.

I must say that I was a bit underwhelmed with Blue Hill, but maybe my expectations were just too high. The space and ambience were great. Our server was great. Our wines were great. But, the food just didn't do it for me, and I love vegetables more than the average person. We had the Farmer's Feast of six courses, and there wasn't one dish that I went home thinking about that night. The homemade bread and butter with seeds was quite delicious though.

Perfect dining experience- amazing, fresh and beautiful food, delicious wine and great service from our helpful and sweet server. The best meal either of us have ever had, and pretty reasonably priced for a fine dining restaurant.

The restaurant is amazing! The food is great and the service is even better. The servers are great and they explain each course to you. They actually know what it is and where it came from. The atmosphere of the restaurant was perfect. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

I've long wanted to eat here. The wait was worth it. The food was outstanding, the service was perfect and fun, the setting is beautiful but hip, and the location is interesting. We had just been to Stone Barn the day before, so it was a perfect fit.

The most incredible food I have had in my life. Everything was so fresh and creative! If you're alone, I recommend to sit at the bar. You can have a nice chat with the bar keeper and he will share his passion about food and drinks with you.

Food at Blue Hill is, simply, exquisite. We ate from the regular menu (not the tasting menu). I was thrilled to see the the choices were limited, but carefully chosen for variety/range/eating preferences, so that there was something special for everyone in each course. I can't wait to go again!

Suffice it to say, it surpassed even our very high expectations. A truly unique dining experience that changed how I think about food, as few meals have done. The sincle disappointment was the cocktails which were not especially well balanced. But that seemed trivial and unimportant given the outstanding food.

We splurged and went here for my fiancée' birthday and we're not disappointed. It was the best meal either of us had ever had. Some of the things we were served changed the way we thought about particular flavors. Truly an experience.

Dine at Blue Hill.

What an incredible meal. I went here on a fantastic date with my friend from Switzerland, a man who is very hard to impress. He was incredibly impressed with the service at the restaurant and the food quality and different tastings as well. We opted for the prix-fixed menu and chose each of the two options and shared them 50/50.

In terms of what we ordered, we began with the "summer fruits and vegetables" with Blue Hill farms yogurt, watermelon and hyssop; "Peppers and Plums" with arugula, smoked farmers cheese and black pepper. The next portion consisted of "This Morning's Farm Egg" with shelling beans, almond and speck; "Montauk Triggerfish" with tomato pepper gazpacho. The main courses were "Freedom Ranger Chicken" with baby corn, summer squash and okra; "Blue Hill Farm Pig" with tropea onion, parsley and romesco. The meal was finished with "Peaches" with stone barns honey, yogurt and pistachio.

Including the additional tastings of habanero peppers bred to have zero spice and tomato water shooters, which were both an experience in themselves, Chef Dan Barber's famous bread before the main courses, and the delicious final taste of the blueberry pie with white chocolate cream and a husk tomato that was bred to taste like a pineapple. Mind blowing experience, to say the least. All of the people who work here are incredibly knowledgeable about the products they serve.

At the end of the meal, it was 11 tasting courses.

We did this before going to a jazz show at the village vanguard. Allow 2-2.5 hours if you want the full experience of Blue Hill.

This was one for the books. You will undoubtedly enjoy this experience. Worth every penny.

I've been to a few starred (1-2) restaurants but this is definitely the one I have most enjoyed.

I enjoyed each of the 8 dishes I tried.
A few dishes were truly exceptional.
My personal favorite was the Tile Fish which had a slight smokiness to it coupled with a refreshing gazpacho. Beyond that every dish was incredibly fresh and well seasoned, cooked, and portioned.

To top it off the waitstaff was excellent.
Our waiter (Taylor) knew the food in and out and really knew how to tell the Blue Hill story.
He also did an excellent job of pairing the wines with my meal (two bottles of which I retained the names of).

All in all I am very happy with my experience at Blue Hill and look forward to coming back in the future.
