Love everything about this restaurant. The ambiance, the food, and especially the staff. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a fabulous evening of everything great in life.

The food at Blue Hill was very good but I didn’t think it was nearly as outstanding as Stone Barns. The chef was extremely accommodating and substituted fish instead of beef on one of the menus and the veggie pasta with squid oil was surprisingly good. The fluke was delicious and the sweet potato appetizer also good. Dessert was slightly disappointing as it was oats and barley dressed up. My preference would have been something more traditional and sweet.

A dinner at Blue Hill is always a refined, elegant, and exciting experience. There is such a thoughtfulness to each ingredient, and a genuine nerdy-ness to all the explanations that I completely love. This is foodie-ness at another level and unlike some fancy restaurants that get so hung up on a concept that they forget to make good food, everything here is delicious. I had a beet carpaccio that was bright and acidic and woke every taste bud up. We also loved the beef and horseradish dish that had so many WOW moments on a single plate. You're likely to have a totally different menu since it changes regularly but you're undoubtedly in for a treat!

Too pricy for an average experience. Portions were very small for a 6 course dinner. Given their emphasis is a lot on seasonal vegetables I thought their vegetarian 6 course would be outstanding. Quite disappointed

Fantastic experience. The food, wine and service were all first class and for a high end restaurant well priced. We will be back next time we are in town.

Blue Hill is one particular place in NYC. Nothing compared to the fancy restaurants you can find in NYC. Blue Hill focuses on it's cuisine, delicate and fresh. You will find combination of ingredients that just blows your mind.

We learned about Blue Hill from the episode on "Chef's Table" on Netflix. The ingenuity and freshness of the food lived up to the program in every way, and the service was truly outstanding (thanks, Mary!) It would be nice if the tables and their conversations were a bit farther apart, but hey, I'm old school.

Was a very average meal. We didn’t care for a couple of the courses and the waiter didn’t ask if we liked it and cleared the full plate without a word. We ya e rate at many more sating menu restaurants and they just dropped off the food and didn’t seemed very concerned of if we liked it or not. Very disappointed!

Food was good, don't get me wrong, you could tell they used fresh ingredients, but there were some dishes that left me wondering if it was woth the price. We ordered the farmers feast, the dishes that really stood out for me were the half scallop, because it is not even one, with the turnip, and the carrot stake. The grass fed beef dish fell short to our expectations, the beef was so thinly sliced you could barely feel it's flavor and it was quite hard, I eat better meat in my every day life and for less price. The other dishes were good, no more no less. The service was really good, and the presentation was outstanding, but you eat with your mouth.

Dining here is typically a treat, but I must admit, this last time was a bit underwhelming. The pre-tasting bites were the same ones that we had two years ago. We dined on a Sunday evening which happens to be the day/time that they receive deliveries from Stone Barns. Black plastic wrapped hunks of protein were consistently carted in next to our table for a good 30 minutes. It's great to know that everything is "farm fresh", but seeing it all carted in took away from the ambiance. I would happily and consistently recommend Blue Hill to anyone, but would suggest that they dine on any day other than a Sunday.

Always a great time at Blue Hill. We have been coming every year for my boyfriends birthday for the past 3 years we always get the extended farmers feast and it’s always worth it. The food is amazing and love the environment and service is always superb.

Sunday night we asked to sit at the bar instead of a table. Great choice. The staff and service was fantastic - personality, authentic, attentive. Wife ordered the 4 course and I opted for the 6 course feast. The staff paced things perfectly. Lobster dumpling was killer. Wife loved the desserts....and more. Will be back!

Blue Hill was worth the wait for the reservation, and worth the bill, which was...significant. We went for our anniversary, and everyone we met, from hosts to wait staff, knew and congratulated us...which I was thrilled with, and my boyfriend squirmed over.
We each got the extended farmers selection, and our waiter helped to pair our wines/beers/cocktails to suit, which he did very well. Each course from the small bites to the sweet stuff at the end was really and truly divine. Everything. We ate and drank for three hours, it was such a beautifully curated experience. The bread was so good...THE BREAD! And it was paced and portioned just right- we were so full we rolled out, but not so full we gave up.
I very much look forward to our next very special occasion, I can't think of a better place to spend it.

We very much enjoyed our trip to Blue Hill. The service was efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable. The liver and chocolate was one of the best things I've eaten. The rest of the dishes were mostly excellent with a few odd exceptions. The lobster dumpling had so much ginger in it I would not have known there was lobster. But, by far the worst dish was the grass fed beef. It was inedible. It was so chewy I wanted to spit it out. Other than those dishes though there were some truly delicious items.

Wife’s birthday. The overall service was good, but the garden room could use some cleaning (dusty floors and corners) and the latter courses seemed to slow considerably where we felt like we were waiting a long stretch to finish out our meal. We love Blue Hill and have been there 4 times - this is the only time we haven’t been completely wowed by the entire experience.

I thought it was very overrated. I don’t get the hype. The worst part was that we had one course with meat - steak. It was terrible. Tough and flavorless. Was very surprised with the whole experience. Creative dishes though.

Great staff, passionate and now want to try the other Blue Hill! We were lucky enough to go to Cosme (rated. 25 in the world) the next night and Blue hill was FAR better!

One of the best meals I have ever had. It made us fall back in love with vegetables and was so wonderfully creative. We really appreciated hearing what was in the dishes and how it was grown.

The whole menu was delicious but the highlight for me was the turnip and scallop dish, I will be thinking about that one for a long time.

Blue Hill really lived up to the hype. The service was amazing and our food was delicious. We really appreciated every bite. It was a nice mix of both approachable and conceptual dishes. Nothing was overdone, from the preparation to plating. It let the ingredients shine! Looking forward to coming back.

I think if you didn't know about Blue Hill's quest to grow / raise the most delicious produce / animals, you'd walk away and say "that was really delicious". But you're better off not knowing about their concept because it sets up expectations that are too high. Example: the meal was kicked off by an amuse bouche of a raw, seasoned carrot. Is it the most delicious carrot you've ever had? No, not remotely. However, the way they dress, season and prepare the food overall is excellent. The lamb was a triumph as was all of the garnishes. Service was incredibly slow to start. Overall, really delicious and would recommend, but again, you're better off not knowing any of the back story so you don't hold it to higher standards than just solid fine dining.

Literally one of the best meals I have ever had in my entire life. The extended farmer's feast is totally worth it. I cannot explain the amazing flavor that came with every dish. Blue Hill is a must!
