Perfect dîner / choice,
Inventive and original yet really good and enjoyable.
You discover flavours, vegetables, you have never heard before (only once).
And above all service is top.
I liked the ny wine.
Food wonderfully prepared, service attentive.
Just an amazing experience spent with my girlfriend on a belated Valentines date night following a show. I’ve been here before, and was just as amazed as the first time. I look forward to returning again.
Amazing food and nice location. Perfect for a special occasion!
I might have had unrealistic expectations... but given its Michelin star and reputation, i expected an unforgettable meal. Service was impeccable and the ambiance was perfect. The food was ordinary and did not stand out. We opted for the 4 course menu, even though we planned to select the 6 course. The Meal was unremarkable and forgettable. The wine selection, while limited was quite good.
The most interesting and inventive meal I've ever had. Worth it for the bread alone.
amount of food could be increased by 5-10% quality and taste great
AMAZING experience. Got married at Stone Barns and have gone back on multiple anniversaries. But have never been to Blue Hill in Manhattan. So glad we did I! Started with a smooth and delicious bourbon batch cocktail and then 6 delicious courses. Highlights were the carrot steak with short rib and the surprisingly tasty barley dessert.
We had a wonderful time on Monday night at Blue Hill. The staff could not have been more attentive and kind. We were celebrating our daughter's birthday and they added some lovely touches for us. The food was fabulous and so different. We had so many different things and everything was just delicious. We will return and can recommend Blue Hill enthusiastically.
Great experience. Baby friendly. Awesome staff. Excellent food.
Blue Hill was the most wonderful night of incredible food, great service and just the finest dining experience we’ve had in NYC. Thank you - we will be back!
The food itself was mediocre and lacking inventiveness.
Food supplies of the restaurant were being delivered into the dining room during restaurant hours. This meant the small dining room area of Blue HIll's door had to be opened and closed several times while the food supplies was being carried in alongside the diners.
I was disappointed by the meal because for a michelin star restaurant, the flavors were quite bland and empty. None of the dishes surprised me regarding texture, flavor, or a unique blend of ingredients. Dish after dish, I was waiting for something that would excite my taste buds, but I was disappointed every time. Even the cocktail (I had the Blue Hill Punch) was neither special nor particularly well mixed. At the end, I could only say the beer ice cream was the best of the worst dishes. The Montauk Fluke was not bad either, but once again, nothing that I would pay $100 per person to have. Overall, the meal was a let down. The service and ambiance was fine. If it weren't for the food, it would be a great place to celebrate a special occasion or just have a nice date.
The food here was amazing. Every course was incredible and well thought out! Our server was diligent. The only thing that took away from 5 stars was the fact that we sat at a table where the couple next to us knew one of the employees. And that employee kept coming to their table and lingering for 10- 15 minutes here and there. It took away from our romantic experience because they were loud talking about Star Wars and going out to the bars.
There is nothing like it, the raw vegetables alone are worth experiencing. We waited without eating all day until our dinner seating. We left so full and satisfied, unlike many tasting menus I’ve experienced. Chef Barber has created tastes and flavors not by altering the sauces and spices and garnishes, but by offering a pure unique whole food underneath. You’ve gotta taste it to believe it.
Phenomenal experience all around - from Cole to Leslie to Mary. Thank you! Your team always makes us feel special.
Great meal and service
Absolutely excellent. Lived up to very high expectations.
Loved it! Everything was great
Took my mom out for her birthday along with my dad and wife. Loved its. Great food and wine. My mom wants to go back next year.
Amazing meal! You will not be disappointed
Great staff and very friendly!
Was in the back room, very quiet (which is how I like it) , service, food and wine were superb!!
WOW! food was so good, unusual but amazing flavours....visited as the main night out ok our honeymoon, we couldn’t have chosen a better place! Staff were so attentive and friendly, they arranged an extra cake when they found out we were honeymooning
I came in with lots of expectations, food is good, but not great.
Blue Hill is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to in NYC. Their non-traditional pairing menu was unorthodox and delicious, and every dish had something a little unexpected. It was great!
My friend and I had a wonderful dining experience. We decided to do Chef's course. I think there were about 10 dishes. Each of them were special and delicious. I'd recommend Blue Hill to anyone! Family, couples! even just dining alone!
Fantastic restaurant. Wonderfully fresh. Very creative food, great, attentive, knowledgeable staff. Only complaint is its pretty loud and we were seated super close to other diners. Hard to converse privately.
Limited menu, some dishes very good but others meh. There are better choices at the price point.
Phenomenal, as always. There is simply no better special occasion restaurant in NYC.
