blue grillhouse Ratings and Reviews
Went there last year using our charity restaurant calendar and my husband raved to anyone who would listen about the rack of lamb. He was really looking forward to going this year, to try the lamb again, and he was SO disappointed. Overcooked, tough, could hardly cut the chops with a knife. My dish, on the other hand (duck breast) was delicious! He did enjoy his appetizer of mussels, and I thought the lobster bisque was the best I ever tasted. Guess just an off night for the lamb.
Our dinner was once again fantastic. The menu is a bit pricey, but so delicious and the portions are big! My husband’s sea bass was cooked perfectly and it was a big piece of fish! My ribeye was scrumptious with the crab Mac and Cheese. Not to forget our server Drew who took great care of us! We will be back!
Great Experience! The waitress made all the difference. She took her time to make our visit pleasant and enjoyable from the first to the last contact at her table. We Chose a Sunday to celebrate Second Christmas, a tradition in our family, and she even was aware of that! What a great experience! The food was very good we ordered off the fixed menu and from the regular menu and had many options to choose from. From the appetizers to the entrees to the desert the sizes were more than ample. We had terrific salads and crab appetizers, salmon and twin fillets, and cake and creme bruele .WOW!!!
This is not our first time here , but we will be back, because of the staff and the chef! Kudos!!!
Impeccable service from Jeremy. Attentive without being intrusive, great suggestions, and outstanding service. Terrific wine selection - a great and modestly priced Oregon pinot noir with dinner. Steaks were all perfectly prepared and the Bernaise and peppercorn sauces were terrific compliments. Crab mac & cheese was superb as were mashed potatoes. We will be back!
Very pleasant dining experience this past Saturday evening. We had an early seating due to another engagement. Our waitress, Gina, was pleasant and knowledgeable. Food and drinks were well prepared and tasty. We sat in the fireside room and will definitely request that in the future.
I love this restaurant and, until this meal, have never been disappointed with the food. But my steak sandwich, the special of the day, was not as good as I expected it to be. The meat was a little touch and not as well seasoned as it could have been.
The service was impeccable as always.
Great place with wonderful menu. I had the salmon and it was delicious. I have had steaks there and they are awesome. Asparagus was a bit over cooked but besides that, everything was outstanding. Restaurant manager brought us a wonderful dessert to share since we were celebrating a retirement.
Went here for a birthday date with the hubby. It was excellent service and we loved our wait staff. They went out of their way and gave us a huge dessert to share plus a glass of champagne.
The only downside. This place is VERY expensive so it’s not something you could just go to. Definite a special occasion place! But they made it very special. Thanks Blue!
Unfortunately, we have not had good experiences the past 2-3 times we ate at Blue, and we will not be returning again. We made reservations on Open Table for a late New Year's Eve meal. When we arrived we were told that no one was busing tables so we had to be seated near the kitchen. Then the waiter told seemed annoyed that we arrived so late and said that he had been working since 10:30 that morning. The wine glasses were visibly dirty and felt dirty. As we were in the middle of eating (the food had barely been touched yet, another waitress asked if she could box our food. Additionally, there are consistently some type of "fruit flies" flying around the table (the past 2-3 visits). The food is average these days. It's unfortunate because the decor and ambiance is very nice.
Excellent, EXCELLENT! -the only glitch being that our wine didn’t show up until mid way through our excellent steak dinner 🙁. Jeremy served us and was absolutely on his game. Being New Year’s Eve, the bar was most likely backed up. This may explain but doesn’t excuse, as a wine needs to be on time with the steak! We do look forward to a return to Blue!
It was an Anniversary dinner and the first thing we both noticed was the noise level-loud. Granted, it’s a holiday week, so perhaps we just caught a particularly busy and boisterous crowd.
Scallop appetizer was delicious and I wish I had ordered it for my entree. We chose to split all of our selections. The kitchen did a nice job of that. Unfortunately, what we anticipated being a veal chop was much more like a breaded cutlet. The layer of prosciutto to complete the saltimboca dish was too thick and disguised any other possible flavor. But it clearly wasn’t a chop we were eating which was disappointing. In no hurry to return.
Blue is our "go to" restaurant. Our server Greg is always outstanding. Randy the Mgr. Always has a warm greeting for us. It's the best restaurant in the Lehigh Valley! Randy took a picture of our family celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary in October in front of the restaurant. It is the last picture of my mom who passed away 12 days later.
Food was very good. Started with excellent scallops and cheese plate. Nice size salads then excellent sreaks. My wife had to return hers as was well done and we like rare to medium rare. The manager did an excellent job in addressing the issue. This is my favorite local steakhouse in the Lehigh Valley.
30th anniversary dinner. Lucas was our server. He was spot on, pleasant, professional and knew the menu. He allowed us to pace our experience.
Our other favorite server Kathy stopped over to say hello and we were greeted by the new Manager, Justin.
Cheeseboard, two filets and two lobster tails, mushrooms and broccolini
I feel they have the best lobster tails in the valley.
Plus a wonderful slice of pie to share.
Always a great time
We went for Sunday brunch. The menu was excellent and the food was very good. Our server gave us great choices for recommendations. Our meal came out quickly and the wait staff was really friendly. The staff do take great care in making sure everyone has a nice time. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.
