blue grillhouse Ratings and Reviews
Great service, good pacing of service. We had market-priced steak and lobster (priced for the New York market, so be sure to ask). Both dishes were perfect. Sides of Yukon mashed potatoes, steamed asparagus, and chopped Brussels sprouts with bacon were delicious accompaniments, and in all would have fed four persons, not just two. I ordered a Grey Goose gimlet, rocks, to be made with Rose’s lime juice, but the bar did not have Rose’s. I was served instead what seemed a vodka tonic sweetened with simple syrup(?) Odd, but I decided to go with it, and possibly the bartender has invented something new. (These days it seems difficult to get a well-made gimlet just about anywhere outside a major city. Am I just too old-school?) Overall, this was an excellent dining experience, if a bit pricey. We will return.
Took our son there while visiting for Parents Weekend at Lehigh. Was really surprised to find such a gem. It was fun with great food. The type of place you can get dressed up or not and still feel special. The service was perfection. Our only complaint was our meat was just a little overcooked. The med rare should have been more pink. The mac and cheese was good but a little bland. Needs something.
We needed up going to Blue for my boyfriend’s birthday dinner and it was wonderful. The food was good and our service was excellent. Our server knew it was for his birthday and had the manager come by to wish him a happy birthday. He was also given a complimentary dessert with a candle in it. We ordered the beef short ribs, Calamari, and twin filets. Everything was excellent! We will definitely be going here again.
Food was wonderful, service was superb. Luke, our server, was personable, knowledgable, and entertaining, but not overbearing. The cheese platter was phenomenal, and the steaks were flavorful and perfectly cooked. This was a first visit for us, but we will definitely be back.
Very nice, but they clearly seat "Open Table" reservations and others in a special section. Booths and other areas in the restaurant were for "others". It was interesting to note. Wait staff was attentive, did have to ask for water after having it filled regularly at the beginning of the meal so inconsistent. Can't put my finger on it but an understated vibe that we simply didn't understand. Pretty place.
The service and the food was excellent; a bit on the pricey side. The dining room was very cold and dark. I saw a couple tables used the flashlight on their phone to read the menu. I was glad I brought a jacket with me, but my husband was cold all through dinner. I don't know why they had the room so cold.
The service was amazing, our wait staff was highly attentive to the needs of all ten guests. The food was okay, nothing too spectacular which was somewhat a let down considering the prices. The ambiance of the restaurant was perfect for a birthday or anniversary.
Not what it used to be. Salad was over dressed to the point of being soggy. My husband and I shared the porterhouse steak which had not been seared but still tasted good and was very tender. Spinach sauteed in garlic & oil was also OK. I did love the bread. The drink was skimpy to say the least. One shot of scotch served in a small brandy snifter. I guess they were hoping I didn't notice the lack of substance of the drink but you don't serve scotch in a brandy snifter even without ice. All in all it was not our best meal at Blue. We will go back again.
We went for my fiancé's birthday and had the most wonderful experience. Our server Jullienne was awesome! Very knowledgeable and attentive.
We ordered the Filet and NY Strip along with the 14oz S.A. Lobster tail (which we shared), Wow....the best lobster we have ever had! So buttery and melt in your mouth awesomeness!
Then to top it off, because it was a birthday celebration, they gave us a free dessert!!
We've been going to Blue for all of our special occasions, and have never been disappointed!
Always enjoy the great food and impeccable and friendly service. It's a beautiful modern restaurant that's also cozy and comfortable. If you like to be catered to, this is the place to be. They go above and beyond to ensure that you are having a great time. Even my demanding relatives were impressed!
Blue offers an upscale dining experience at a vey competitive price point. The service is always on point. The food has never disappointed. One of my favorites is the USDA prime 16 oz. New York strip. It’s a delicious cut of meat priced at $46, a very good value for prime. The sides are always excellent, the bread is spot on, desserts are excellent. I highly recommend it.
Four of us ate here on a Thursday evening and had wonderful meals. The bone in N.Y. strip, bone in filet, regular filet and N.Y. strip were excellent and prepared exactly as ordered. The ceasssr salad, lobster bisque, wedge salad, and French onion started things off well. Our favorite dessert wasn't available but the manager was very nice and made us something close and competed it. This is the best restaurant in the Bethlehem, Allentown, and Easton areas.
Blue is our favorite place to dine. Loyal patrons for over 8 years. Met Mr Paxos at Firepoint and thanked him for years of wonderful dining at Torre, Top Cut, and Blue. The entire staff are the most welcoming, wonderful, professional people. They all greeted me for my birthday. The Ginger Pomegranate Cosmo was the most delicious well made cocktail. The chef perfectly prepared my 14 oz lobster tail that cut like butter. My husbands short ribs made a great surf and turf sharing with my lobster. Jeremy, our favorite waiter and the absolute best, was excellent as always. Katie, the manager, made sure to greet me and chat. Judy sang and danced happy birthday for me. Allison gave us a huge goodbye on our way out. Kenny, who was attending a rehearsal, dinner gave me a big hug, and Marcus made sure to greet us as well. WE LOVE BLUE !!!!! Thank you all for a wonderful birthday celebration and another fabulous dining experience. God bless all of you and continued success until we meet again.
