Staff was friendly and waitress was attentive but stretched thin. Food was OK, but took far too long to come out for a lunch shift. Not memorable. Just Eh.
Meal and sevice were exceptional, environment very conducive for conversation. Menu choices offered great variety. Overall, highly recommended!
Salmon was awesome! Had oyster Rockefeller and it was the best we have had!
No need to go. Class C cuts of food
Preparation and presentation one step above Long John Silvers.
If read my reviews, this level of condemnation is very rare. The price to quality ratio (P/Q) is a 4 out of 10.
Advice to restaurant: Just reduce your price or start a buffet line.
Seriously, connective tissue in “ahi” tuna? Steak with 30% fat waste and connective tissue st your prices is simply criminal.
I hope you take this constructively to improve. Thank god for your bar.
This was my second time at Blue Fin, but this time it was for brunch. The food was excellent. However the service was very slow. It was a table of 3 and we were seated immediately because we had reservations. Our waitress did not come take our drink order for another 11 minutes. It took her another 7 or 8 minutes for her to bring our waters. We finally got our drinks and then we ordered. It didn't take too long for the food to come out, but our waitress didn't check on us until we were done eating so we didn't get any refills on our waters or anything.
It wasn't crowded so I'm not sure if some of the workers just called out that day or what. I had a great time at Blue Fin for dinner, but this experience at brunch was not the best.
The atmosphere was great, the service impeccable and the food fantastic. The location was absolutely perfect!
If there was one thing that I would change, it would be the cracked leather on the seat cushions. It sort of takes away from the atmosphere when you are being seated. Once you'reseated, you forget about it, but it would definitely improve the upscale ambiance to have the seating repaired.
Service was awesome and super fast. Food was also great.
I'm sorry but we were not impressed. We just moved here from Charlotte and this place had good reviews so we tried it. My husband and I both were disappointed in the food and drinks. My cocktail tasted like sugar water and the food was very bland. The service was great. We won't be back though.
The atmosphere was pretty good. I enjoyed it and will go back again
It was Valentines Day so I was patient with the waiter. However it was still rather slow considering the amount of servers and runners working that night. The food could have used a tad bit more seasoning and it’d be nice if the restaurant offered complimentary rolls while you wait on your food. Once the server finally came to our table, he was very courteous and we were pleased with his service overall aside from the fact that he did take a while to approach us. The cuisine at the restaurant is described as being low country so it’d benefit the restaurant to actually research authentic low country cuisine to add a few more authentic meals to help expand their menu selection.
Blue Fin was a great last minute Valentines dinner spot. Great food, decent wine list and superb service. Don’t be scared off by the outdoor mall setting. One of the best options in the NE/Fort Jackson area.
Had the Atlantic salmon it was awesome!
We have she crab soup appetizer and Oysters Rockefeller they were both excellent. Our server was very attentive salad main course were both excellent I would recommend the pork chop. We had decaf coffee with our dessert excellent evening
Great food and service. However, there should be more dessert options
If you're looking for drinks and great appetizers this is the place. Other than that the entrees are horrible. Overly salted and not fresh.
Best food we had in Columbia. Staff is friendly and attentive.
Great dinner date at bluefin. Food service and everything outstanding.
The Fish was over cooked!
Second visit for spouse and I. Food and service good, but restaurant beginning to look a little tired. Of concern was also a faint but pungent odor -- like booths had been wiped down with an old damp towel??
Did not mention to the manager (? we assume), who was very friendly and checked on us a couple times (positive point!).
Not sure we'll go back.
Blue Fin holds a special place in my heart as I have gone there to celebrate birthdays, had date night there as well as gone for drinks with friends
The reason we didn't give an outstanding review overall was due to this being New Year's Eve and there were no specials
The wife and I ate at Blue Fin on New Year’s Eve and had a great experience. Food was good and Michael our server did a great job. We will be back.
Outstanding service, and delicious food, made for a delightful evening with family.
The dining experience was amazing!
Very good food and selection. Excellent service. Private room for parties.
David the manager was delightful. Service was great.
We enjoyed the meal and the wine very much. The food was southern with some unexpected twists. Both seafood and steak were well-represented on the menu.
My husband and I really like Blue fun. Their food combinations are different and delicious. He usually gets the salmon because he likes it so much but is often tempted to try something else. Excellent she-crab soup.
Very nice place to visit with friends over lunch. Reasonable prices and good food. Staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. Overall a good dining experience.
Oyster Rockefeller best in town. Always enjoy my Blue Fin experience.
Our waitress was nice and quick. The restaurant was clean and nice looking. I did not like the slight stickiness of the table even after they are cleaned. The bread is a waste of calories it’s always stale and tasteless. However the food is otherwise quite tasty and presented nicely. I had the grilled shrimp. They were tasty and very buttery. My meal was served a little too cool for my personal taste but also not bad enough to complain. My friends had the barramundi and really enjoyed their meal. Overall we had a pleasant meal and I would go there again.
Took Friend's here for 23 anniversary. Our server Sylvia was awesome. Everything came out hot and fast.
had a great experience for our wedding anniversary. terrific service and the food was wonderful!
The atmosphere was great also the food was excellent. Most of all the waiter was very professional and knew the menu
We always like trying new seafood restaurants and Blue Fin was on our list. Glad we came - we will definitely be back.
If you are looking for inexpensive seafood, this is your place. Quality was very low-end and not what I was looking for. The burgers and wings I saw at other tables looked good.
My friends and I went to celebrate my birthday. The atmosphere was nice but our booth was shaky and my food was subpar. I ordered she crab soup and it was mostly just liquid hardly anything else in it. My scallops were tough and my rice was cold. The service was great on the other hand.
The food was good and the service. The manager was rude and not very accomodating to customers. After he realized we weren't going to take his mess, he lightened up.
Went on Friday night. The a/c was broken so it was really hot inside. We were able to sit outside but in June that's a hot option too. They had issues with their menus so we had to wait a bit for one. But the food was fantastic and the service was too. I would go back, but I'd make sure the a/c was fixed first 😂
