Blue Fin - Columbia
Great food and service. Will be back in the future!
First time we have been here but it was a good experience. Lunch prices are great but the dinner menu is a little pricey. The food was good but the crab cake had too much breading and the chicken was over cooked because it was too thin. The steak was very good.
Oyster Roc delicious as always! Excellent lunch option. Not just for special occasions.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Columbia area but as of tonight, I will be taking a break!
Outstanding and professional staff- from the time we entered until the time we departed, we enjoyed every minute!
Cozy atmosphere with great food options and attentive wait staff.
Reasonably priced. Service wasn't awesome. Quite a ways away from Columbia.
There is a weird smell when you walk in store. Also too much salt on hamburgers
Excellent food presentation and flavor. Service was a little off this visit.
The bead maker was broken so they didn’t serve any bread to guests and instead of going out and getting some or giving their $1 baguette for free the just served nothing but an excuse. I had the short rib which was salty and barely hot. It tasted like the packaged hornet short rib. The other guest had the steak which was served barely warm. The 3rd guest ordered the fried seafood platter. Everything was greasy and over fried. You know how when the grease is old and your food comes out very dark and greasy? That’s what it looked like. The sweet potato fries were the best thing on that plate. She returned the food and ordered the steak which came out fresh, cooked properly and piping hot. The waitress did her best to overcome the challenges of the kitchen.
Outstanding and courteous staff! From the time we enter the establishment to the last smile we received leaving! 5 stars
When we walked in it smelled like a sewer backup. Our service was extremely slow as well.
Great hangout and food is wonderful. I highly recommend this place for dinner.
Excellent food offerings and presentation. Impeccable service as well.
The food and service was mediocre at best and not consistent with the cost.
The Swordfish special was worth the short wait to prepare.
Food was just ok. I had the crab cakes and they were ok. The slaw was vinegar based and very tangy. The bread they served complementary was not good.
Awesome appetizers & salmon Dinner. Service was awesome.
I went there with my wife for my birthday dinner. Our meals were seasoned and cooked to perfection!
The food is has always been good, but it is getting better!
Service was great and the food was delicious!!!! I enjoyed sitting outside!
We were seated beside the bar, so I didn't think it was the best place to be seated when your out for a nice dinner. The food was very good. Our waiter was outstanding, he deserves Kudos!
Great food and service. Local seafood is offered. I normally enjoy the Surf and Turf. I highly recommend.
Ordered Flounder, Salmon, and Fried Chicken all prepared to everyone’s liking. Beer recommendations were spot on. Great service! Great atmosphere.
Great food presentation served by a great wait staff.
Seafood papardella was not up to par. Mussels were tiny, thought they’d already been eaten- sauce was watery thin, should have been served with crunchy bread
Batamundi was more successful, excellent in fact
Used a groupon, which indicates this place is in trouble. We had a good meal with great service. The place could use a scrup. The floors look groaty.
This is my husband and I's favorite date night restaurant. Food is always good, servers are always on point, the atmosphere is always great.
Friendly staff. Delicious food. The cinnamon roll French Toast was amazing. Can’t wait to go back for more shrimp and grits!
Experience was great... server was very attentive and had no issues... thanks!!
The overall experience was ok. We had soup that was incorrect (my son just ate the one they brought) and they brought out the steaks with different temps and we had to swap on our own with really no care from the restaurant. It’s a big deal for someone who ordered a medium steak to get the medium rare steak and then have to swap (luckily it was my 19 yr old son) which he had ate some before we swapped. My issue is the fact they acted like that was ok. No adjustment to our check for their mistakes which was ok but at least apologize/acknowledge them. The food was good but honestly over priced. Nothing special. We had a variety of food ordered and no one was blown away. The crab dip appetizer was probably the best item ordered.
This place never disappoints. We had a reservation for Mother's Day and was seated and served promptly. The food was delicious and we were in and out in under an hour.
This was not my first time here but this was my first time having the shrimp and grits! It was very good! Jake was our waiter and he was very attentive and friendly. This was my mother's first time and she was pleased! Also I made reservations on Open Table and we were seated pretty much right away!
The menu evidently was reduced down because of the Mothers Day holiday. Not sure this is correct as waitress seemed to not really know the answer when we asked about the missing menu items plus why would you want to remove items you normally could sell just because mom was coming? Food was ok however restaurant was very loud. The highlight of the evening was our bus boy. Very attentive, friendly and had eye contact. He should be running the place.
Staff graciously accommodated a large party. Food was excellent with a good variety.
The restaurant itself was nice. Our server, Wesley was sweet and attentive. The food, not worth the price at all. I wanted to order the flounder but I was informed that they were only fillets rather than a full bone-in; fillets are never worth $23 dollars. I instead got fried shrimp (requested) with mashed potatoes. The batter for the shrimp were not good and the mashed potatoes weren’t great either. This meal wasn’t worth even $18. They honestly shouldn’t advertise themselves as a seafood restaurant. My partner didn’t fully enjoy his meal either; he ordered the surf n turf. He stated the crab cake was too small and very greasy. Also he expected more than four shrimp.
We will not be returning here to dine; maybe for the bar.
Blue Fin has a great selection of menu items in surf and turf. My favorite is the Blackened North Carolina Trout. Great location and facilities.
The staff was very pleasant over all every thing was what I expected
Food was very good. Service was a bit lacking. Our server seemed inexperienced and uninterested. She took a very long time to bring my drink and did not check on us often. She brought our check without asking if we were done. It was not a busy night we were 1 of 2 tables in our section of the restaurant.
very nice for brunch and service was ok though waitress began removing plates before all finished.
