We relocated to Moorestown, NJ recently from New England. This was our first visit to Blue Fig and we were delighted. Mediterranean cuisine has always been one of our favorites, next to lobster, and the Blue Fig lived up to all our expectations. We had 2 appetizers and shared a lamb kebab entrée - a wise decision since we had satisfied our hunger and had no room for a dessert. However, the desserts were mostly homemade so we had to try one - the date cake - which we brought home and really enjoyed it the next day.
OMG! Where to begin?
Zero ambience, which would have been okay, because it was just friends getting together. But even though it was quite dim in the restaurant, I immediately noticed that the wine glasses were filthy. I was not drinking wine, but it was still disconcerting. I asked the cashier/server/hostess for clean glasses. She apologized and came back several minutes later with clean(er) glasses. Okay,at least she made the effort, but when we unraveled the silverware, it too was spotted and greasy.
Needless to say, we left and ate elsewhere.
Had a nice meal st Blue Fig. Have not eaten here in a year or so. The Taste of Lebanon appetizer was very good. Kabobs were very good. Has a nice dinner.
One of our favorite restaurants for tasty food.Always a great place to meet friends.
Another excellent dining experience! Great food, well presented, and a great value
A very delicious lunch. I ordered the Fatoush salad that was very fresh and looked so appetizing. My friend had the falafel platter which she said was very good.
Great service and a nice vibe about the place.
Very good Mediterranean food. Excellent service. Their salads are always fresh and delicious. Food is healthy and savory. We love t go for lunch and relax there.
Went for lunch and service was inattentive. Food was just ok and took too long for lunch.
nice little place hiding on the outskirts if Moorestown. low key location, almost thought it was closed.
good selection. server was enthusiastic and helpful. overall nice place but not 5 stars.
My wife and I visited and found the experience to be “okay” but nothing to write home about. Service was excellent and the restaurant was very clean. The food, was not bad, but had a “reheated” quality. My meal tasted like Campbell’s chunky soup. We also found the dinner to be a little expensive for the portions received. The one disconcerting thing was that the crock my meal arrived in had some substantial chips around the rim. Fortunately, no pieces were evident within my meal. I’d be willing to assume that we did not order the restaurant’s specialty, and I would be willing to give it another shot.
The lamb chops were amazing . . . Flavorful and tender and perfectly prepared!
Lovely setting. We were greeted warmly immediately upon arrival. The complementary mini pita and olive spread were a great start. The filo cheese appetizer with tzaiki was spectacular. The sheesh kebab was huge, tender and perfectly cooked. BYO is an added bonus
I brought some friends here for a different type of meal. I've always enjoyed lunch here. This is also good for dinner BYOB. Service was excellent and attentive.
Excellent food and great atmosphere.
We found this BYOB restaurant on Open Table when we visited the Cherry Hill area recently. We were not disappointed. In fact, we had a better meal than we ever expected. The portions were generous and the food was very fresh and prepared to order. Our server, Ryan, was a lot of fun and his suggestions were right on target. We will definitely go back the next time we are in South Jersey.
Just had to show off our new favorite local spot to my sister-in-law . Amazing "girlfriend" lunch,
grilled shrimp, special kabob platter, quiet enough for good conversation. Attentive service.
Wonderfully fresh choices. The shish kebob was cooked perfectly as were the vegetables and couscous. My daughter loved the chicken kebob. Fun to have the option of soup which most places have one and that is all. Our server was a delight.
Nice Mediterranean cuisine. The Salmon fish was nice and moist. The Shish Kebabs were tender.
Excellent quality, portions, price, service--what more can you say? The cuisine offered was perfectly seasoned for our South Jersey taste buds, and all done to perfection! If you are "on the fence" as were we, you will be pleasantly surprised and wondering why you waited so long
to try the Blue Fig!
Great Mediterranean food. Small but cozy restaurant.
Second time here food is great , if you loke rice make sure you order is great
We thoroughly enjoyed our food. The meat was flavorful and tender and the salad with the the sumac seasoning was delicious.
Great food and service! Loved the grape leaves and tour of Lebanon.
This is probably my 5th time coming here. Service was not great this time as it has been in the past. There was only one server waiting tablea even though other people were there. He (Khaled) was nice but answered most questions with "I don't know" which isn't particularly helpful. And he would forget things like wine glasses and water refills. I think he was a little overwhelmed. There were also so many flies, it made it difficult to enjoy the meal. I'll keep getting takeout but this was probably my last time eating in.
Wonderful dinner. Very casual. We loved it. We are definitely going to be coming here in the future.
We have dinned here a number of times and always had great food and service. Went for lunch in Monday. Service was horrible. Never asked if our meal was ok or if we needed anything once our meal was delivered. Needed more water and ice tea. We had to go find the server for our check. Our server apologized and said they were slammed with takeout orders but we were forgotten. :-(
The restaurant is small so get a reservation! The food is delicious Mediterranean, a real gem amongst the common fare that we are used to in South Jersey.
Great meal! We enjoyed large portions of tasty food that was well presented at an excellent value. The service was excellent as well.
We come here often and are never disappointed. Their bean soup eats like a meal. Baklava made on premises and oh so delish
Service was slow considering there were only 3 tables filled, bottom of our dessert was burnt but everything else we ordered was good as usual.
First time there. The food and service were excellent. Very reasonable prices for good portion sizes and Great quality food. Will definitely go again.
Great food and warm, friendly service. Their desserts are a great finish.
Excellent food! My wife and I thoroughly enjoy this restaurant. It is BYOB so being a nice bottle of wine.
Reliable as always. You just can't go wrong with the Blue Fig. Consistent, tasteful and pleasant. The service is always friendly, the food is served hot and the desserts are creative and soaked in honey!!! Bring your wine and come to the Blue Fig!
We always have a delicious meal and tend to be good friends who have not been here before. Love all the vegetarian and fish options!! And the staff is always open to special requests for how the meal is served.
I love this restaurant and have gone here many times and have always had a very good meal.
Great Meal! We always enjoy our visits to the Blue Fig -- and this one was no excpetion. A nice variety of appetizer and entree options. Each thing we ordered was well presented and delicious! Our server was personable and attentive. We also enjoy the BYOB -- it helps us manage the total cost of the dinner.
We'll be back!
Food was delicious but it took an hour for our food to arrive. In that hour, we were not checked on or served bread. Other tables were served bread and bad their food ordered after us and served before us. Halfway through we asked another waitress to get our waitress and she forgot - I had to leave my table to find the waitress and inquire about our food. We ordered 2 lunch specials and 1 salad.
