Blue Fig Cafe Ratings and Reviews
My wife and I visited and found the experience to be “okay” but nothing to write home about. Service was excellent and the restaurant was very clean. The food, was not bad, but had a “reheated” quality. My meal tasted like Campbell’s chunky soup. We also found the dinner to be a little expensive for the portions received. The one disconcerting thing was that the crock my meal arrived in had some substantial chips around the rim. Fortunately, no pieces were evident within my meal. I’d be willing to assume that we did not order the restaurant’s specialty, and I would be willing to give it another shot.
Lovely setting. We were greeted warmly immediately upon arrival. The complementary mini pita and olive spread were a great start. The filo cheese appetizer with tzaiki was spectacular. The sheesh kebab was huge, tender and perfectly cooked. BYO is an added bonus
We found this BYOB restaurant on Open Table when we visited the Cherry Hill area recently. We were not disappointed. In fact, we had a better meal than we ever expected. The portions were generous and the food was very fresh and prepared to order. Our server, Ryan, was a lot of fun and his suggestions were right on target. We will definitely go back the next time we are in South Jersey.
Excellent quality, portions, price, service--what more can you say? The cuisine offered was perfectly seasoned for our South Jersey taste buds, and all done to perfection! If you are "on the fence" as were we, you will be pleasantly surprised and wondering why you waited so long
to try the Blue Fig!
This is probably my 5th time coming here. Service was not great this time as it has been in the past. There was only one server waiting tablea even though other people were there. He (Khaled) was nice but answered most questions with "I don't know" which isn't particularly helpful. And he would forget things like wine glasses and water refills. I think he was a little overwhelmed. There were also so many flies, it made it difficult to enjoy the meal. I'll keep getting takeout but this was probably my last time eating in.
We have dinned here a number of times and always had great food and service. Went for lunch in Monday. Service was horrible. Never asked if our meal was ok or if we needed anything once our meal was delivered. Needed more water and ice tea. We had to go find the server for our check. Our server apologized and said they were slammed with takeout orders but we were forgotten. :-(
Great Meal! We always enjoy our visits to the Blue Fig -- and this one was no excpetion. A nice variety of appetizer and entree options. Each thing we ordered was well presented and delicious! Our server was personable and attentive. We also enjoy the BYOB -- it helps us manage the total cost of the dinner.
We'll be back!
Food was delicious but it took an hour for our food to arrive. In that hour, we were not checked on or served bread. Other tables were served bread and bad their food ordered after us and served before us. Halfway through we asked another waitress to get our waitress and she forgot - I had to leave my table to find the waitress and inquire about our food. We ordered 2 lunch specials and 1 salad.
Consistently good. The appetizers are great for sharing. Not a lot to offer children (no pasta), and the dinner selections are a bit much (flavor and quantity) for children. The moussaka base is delicious, but they use too much cheese on top. It is likely made ahead of time, so there is no flexibility to use less.
