Blue Duck Tavern
The restaurant has an elegant residential feel through the open staff pantry and kitchen, wood-burning oven and the showpiece Molteni range.
*Please note that for diners bringing in wine, a $35 corkage fee (per 750 ml bottle of wine), with a limit of two bottles, will be charged.

We have been going to Chef Brian's establishments (Melrose / Blue Duck) for 20+ years. The man can cook. That said Blue Duck is cold, noisy and impersonal.
Great food and service. Decent ambiance, but a little noisy.
Wow! The food was incredible! Every dish I ordered was a delight. I wish my stomach was bigger and I could have ordered more food! Went back the next day for lunch too.
Great meal great people. Will be back at some point
One of my favorite places-- but still they like too many other restaurants-- will let you reserve only before 6:30 or after 9pm. I am not going to patronize places in DC who do that-- they have no respect for my business.
Service was exceptional. We only had a short time for lunch and they served us quickly. Love the menu.
Honestly this is a beautiful restaurant and the people are super nice. Sadly, the food is just not that good.
The food was superb! One of the best burgers that I've ever had; melted in my mouth, and very juicy. The staff was very friendly; had to be reminded of a couple details, but nothing major.
Superb, smoky duck and very fresh whole roasted branzino. Bit on the expensive side but worth it.
This was my first time dining at Blue Duck Tavern and I hope it is not my last. The food wa a phenomenal - a perfect brunch.
My wife and I had a superb dinner, excellent wine and wonderful service from Tibor.
All the food tasted great and was artfully plated. It had been a few years since we had dined at BDT, we will return sooner next time.
Everything was amazing and our server Michael was spectacular!
Braised short rib was too salty and had too much bbq sauce on it. And bone narrow was lost in the meat stuffing on top.
Dining room was a little confusing and not as intimate but the ambience was great. Service was quick and attentive. Food was amazing
Our expectations may have been two high. We eat out at a lot of "nice" restaurants but only a few that have a Michelin star so I had expected something on par with Komi (maybe not a fair comparison).
We ordered 5 items for the meal. An appetizer, a main, and three vegetable sides. The garnish for the appetizer and main course were very tasty but were not able to get compoesate for the mediocre focal point of the dish. They was one veg plate that was wonderful, but the other two were nothing special.
Walking past the kitchen, everything smelled wonderful, so perhaps there were dishes that we didn't try that would have been better.
Overall, we've had much better experiences for a lot less money.
Wonderfully non-intrusive, but attentive service. Hay smoked oysters and the duck were superb
While the weekend brunch is good, they should elevate their daily breakfast offerings as the weekday menu is much reduced both in quality and memorability. Service was very slow and distant despite the restaurant being sparsely occupied (no water refills, no check-ins, food plunked ok the table). Would not recommend for breakfast at this price point and service level.
Hidden in the Park Hyatt this is a jewel.
Suggest you share your sides an definitely get the carrots.
Wine selection is very nice...
LOVED the duck...of course ...
Very nice restaurant with good ambience; the menu was very pricey however.
Very satisfying, in some aspects outstanding food. Classic American with a modern touch. I had the soft shell crab (very nicely done, quite rich) and the duck (again very rich, breast had a fantastic aroma, leg well prepared, but nothing special). Service attentive. Good choice of wines by the glass.
The braised short ribs, grits and sides are always my favorite at the Blue Duck.
What an amazing experience! Although we had a large party of 20 ppl, the staff was able to accommodate us! Wonderful service and food! Thank you all so much for making our first dine in experience at Blue Duck a memorable one!
Great! No complaints.
Amazing food, well prepared, very attentive service. Beautiful dining area and great location
We went for brunch and service was incredibly slow! Two people found their meals sub par. It took forever to get drinks and order food. And then the appetizers came 45 seconds before our main courses, meanwhile it took forever to even order. Given the caliber of restaurant it was very disappointing. At this price point I would expect more. Felt really guilty for suggesting this place given the price tag; quality and service didn’t meet expectations.
been here 5 times. but why I did not get 100 reservation reward point this time?
Wonderful as always! We had hamachi crudo and boston bibb gema for apps - both were amazing; bread basket is beautiful. For main lunch we had short ribs and scallops - all was fantastic. Scallops were seared perfectly, so fresh and light.
Service was impeccable.
spectacular service. attentive without being intrusive
Tibor is the best!
Amazing food, the cocktails were incredible! Especially the Cachaca one! It was a great birthday dinner for my husband!
The braised short ribs and carrots were amazing. The heirloom tomato salad is unlike any salad I've ever had...I'm still thinking about it 3 days later!
Our waiter David was exceptional at his position.
The food was good but it should wow you for the price. $24.00 for apple pie for two. It was no better than the apple pie I make at home. I expected it to be a show stopper. The short rib was tender and the fish was tasty but neither was a wow. The cauliflower Mac n cheese was disappointing. The service was very good and I hate to only give a three star review but I expect to be wowed when I spend over $200 for dinner for two.
Both the chicken and duck that we ordered were too salty.
If you go here you must h e one of their cocktails. Incredible food with excellent service and attentive staff.
Always the best experience!
Brought my wife here for her birthday/ our wedding anniversary. live an hour and a half away. Would definitely come back. Great food and great service.
Absolutely amazing. The food, the service, as well as the ambiance and decor/furniture were outstanding.
