Great restaurant for a leisurely lunch with a friend. Exceptional menu options and food quality. Welcoming staff and decor.
Service was so ridiculously slow that I won't be coming back.
This is a great little gem in the city. Our waitress Dominica was fantastic. We all had the burgers which were delicious, and a black cherry Mamosa which was yummy. Definitely a go to place when I’m in the city.
Irritating 6% surcharge for "Covid", when I asked what does that mean? The hostess responded for cleaning supplies...I asked if that meant they didn't clean before Covid and she responded that she would get the manager. I decided to leave it alone.
The silliness is that they charge 6% to each check regardless on how large? We ordered premium liquors and wines and our check average was higher that most, why should we pay more for them to clean (which they should have been doing anyhow) than a table that didn't spend as much. I assume this arbitrary cleaning expense was the same regardless of the check. ("Oh they spent more, let's make sure their table was better sanitized??")
They should call it what it is, a way to cover expenses with the limited seating and less revenue.. .
Always the best. The food is so delicious and the staff is just the best.
Very nice tented outdoor setting. Restaurant was safe and provided excellent food and service
The menu is a challenge for me. Only 4 entrees and way too many UNHEALTHY choices. Lots of fried food. I had the salmon en croute and brussel sprouts, which was good ... not great. I would have liked more appetizer options and more items on the menu that wasn't fried. But the staff was quite pleasant and efficient.
Service and food were great! Highly recommend!
Having not ventured out for all of Covid, the setting was serene while still feeling incredibly safe. The food, drink and service were outstanding!
Great brunch
Celebrated a pre-birthday dinner here and it was great! Safe space and the staff was nice. Food was delicious. Would def go back.
We were kept outside while others were able to wait inside the premise and we were seated late. They did not have enough staff to serve the tables properly but the staff worked hard to try and compensate. I have dined here many times and it seems that the food has gone down a bit in quality and the menu was smaller than in the past. The greeter was not pleasant so we got off to a less than perfect start.
Food had an average taste but I enjoyed the cozy ambience thoroughly. There being only one server for 5 tables, Eunice was exemplary.
Enjoyed lunch under a cozy heat lamp inside a spacious tent on the patio. Décor is always nice, but here, its all about the food. So so good - Simply Delicious. Must try the fried chicken, but the salmon wellington was thoughtfully innovative (wow that's a keeper)! If you're looking for high quality service & crisp/clean food with southern inspired flavors, this is the place to be.
Excellent outdoor dining experience. Service was impeccable and felt very comfortable dining. Food was exceptional as usual.
Lovely location, food was okay.
I loved the salmon!
It was a terrible experience. We waited 45 minutes for 1 drink only to hear they were out. It was awful.
Was great food and warm outdoor seating.
Wonderful food and all who work there we enjoy so much!
Such a wonderfully cute restaurant and the food was amazing!
Bar tender was also the server. Food and drinks weren’t up to standards of Blue Door. Maybe it’s a one off but nevertheless disappointing. We were told that bar and kitchen are closing at 8pm.
Loved the sides and the gnocchi was one of the best I had ever had. The Brussels sprout and the corn bread were to die for. Don't skip on the deviled eggs, either!
They do a great job accompanying for Covid restrictions. Food and service were excellent. It was a little cold in the heated tent area, but they did a great job.
Smelled like grease very badly
First time diners here. They have done a great job working with the current dining rules. Outdoor comfortable and cozy. Short menu, but every item we tried was fantastic. We look forward to dining again.
The food and wine was incredible, it was so warm sat outside that you didn’t need your coat on, it was like normal dining; it’s a little expensive for what it is but I’d definitely go again!
Our server, Unis, was great! The food was great and we loved it all. Its tough to set up nice dining in a tent, but they pulled it off and it looked so nice. They would get all 5 stars if we can have been in the restaurant, as that is so charming! Love this place
Patio was beautifully decorated for the holidays and perfectly warm on a cold night. Food was delicious.
Blue Door has been one of my favorite brunch spots for several years and I was sadly a bit disappointed this time around. I hate that restaurants are struggling right now and recognize that most are operating with limited staff - but service was *extremely* slow and very inattentive. What was more off putting, however, were the elevated food prices - not only was there a dining surcharge (expected) but menu items were significantly upcharged from last time I dined here. $28 for brunch entrees? Come on. I’m sure I will dine here again because it is really a wonderful restaurant from food quality to ambience, but I will likely wait until it falls back in line with comparable establishments. Price gouging loyal diners is offensive & will ultimately drive us away.
Beautiful seating in a outdoor well ventilated warm tent. Loved our meal and our waiter Juan was GREAT! Definitely will be back in this COVID free space!
My friend and I totally enjoyed our lunch at Blue Door: great food, wonderful ambiance, great service, etc! We will go back again and again! Thank you so much!
Need more options for those who are dairy-free. No options for entrees.
Really love this quaint restaurant. Food, drinks and atmosphere are all terrific!
It’s our go to place ! Service has improved since this summer
Very good waiter wish I good remembered his name !
Night out to celebrate personal issues and Thanksgiving holiday. One of our favorite places; committed to continue through pandemic, as long as possible.
Intimate yet safe setting at the outdoor/tent dining.
Excellent healthy menu.
Amazing cocktails: highly recommend the mezcal one (forget the name).
Friendly and very accommodating staff (Dominica was amazing).
Will definitely go back
Ate outside in the tent it was cozy warm and perfect!
Great spot for brunch. The outdoor space was a lovely get away even on a day that was cold and damp. The attentive servers kept the coffee warm.
The shrimp and grits were a fresh take with its tomato sauce. The portions were very generous.
Beautiful patio, covid friendly. Menu is a bit limiting but food was delicious.
Safe and Lovely atmosphere. Delicious food! You won’t regret the visit.
