We had a great celebratory meal... good service.. and were fortunate that it wasn't crowded, so little noise. Good experience all around.

Unique entree choices and meal presentation was terrific. Minimal seasoning on appetizer and sauces so a little on the bland side. Other than that was fantastic.

The food was just okay. No one in our party thought their food was excellent. The quesadillas were EXTREMELY cheesy and my teens did not like them at all. However, I do not rule out trying it a second time. Perhaps this experience was a “one off.”

Just not very good food. The fillings for tacos and quesadillas were greasy and bland.

Been here a number of times and recommended it to others. The food is fresh, tasty and unique. Great that it’s a family affair. In addition, a comfortable place where you can talk.

Great platanos sampler. Mole was excellent; I enjoyed the spinach enchilada with mole. The black bean and sweet potato stew could have been more flavorful. Service was friendly and attentive.

I had been before and had a great meal, this time I ordered the special and was surprised that is was not great. Tasted like leftovers. I do apologize, I wish it had been better, I was dinning with a client.

Fabulous service and good food at sensible prices. We were late and hence tight on time, but had a relaxed meal and made the concert (at Duke) on time.

Highly recommended.

Blue Corn is one of our regular go-tos. The food is very good. The prices are very reasonable. The great thing is really the service. It is the best waitstaff, routinely, in Durham. I have never had a bad meal and have always had an enjoyable time. It is family friendly and also great for a date night. The Cuervo Margarita is worth the upgrade price and the combo meals are large.

Just excellent in every way. My father is super picky about tacos and he crushed all three on his plate. My mom's black beans are legend of these are a fierce competitor to hers. I highly recommend the enchiladas and the salsas you get with the chips are absolutely fabulous and pair so well with tacos.

The three of us had a lovely early dinner before a cello/piano forte concert at Baldwin Auditorium. The food was excellent with a nice selection of dishes for most tastes certainly ours. We had enough leftover fish to make fish tacos at home for lunch the next day.

We had dinner here for Valentine's Day. Being from out of town, we had not dined here before, and what a pleasant surprise! The vibe of the restaurant is laid back and attentive. There was a trio of musicians playing in the front area, but we were seated in the back. We could hear the music but could talk and hear each other. The service was good and patient with our questions. The food was tasty and well presented. I had the fish tacos (grilled by request). My son had the pork and my husband had fish. We were all pleased. It was a very relaxing and pleasant experience. Will be back!

Our table of four was greeted promptly and we received excellent service at Blue Corn Cafe. The entrees were acceptable enough, but the sides: black beans and rice were lukewarm and lacking flavor. I'm not sure that I'd return given the large number of other good restaurants in the 9th Street area.

Lunch with the Nieces! I gave them two place to pick from and they picked Blue Corn Cafe - it was a first visit for all of us. We were cheerfully greeted and promptly seated in an open, bright eclectic environment. The menu offered wonderful options for the many health and dietary restrictions some have. Service was warm, helpful and attentive. Portions were plentiful and delicious. Before our entree we shared guacamole and calamari - both were substantial portions for sharing between four of us.

It was s lovely visit and enjoyable meal and we will be back!

First time here but we will be back! Great margaritas as well as sangria. Loved the guacamole, salsa and homemade chips. Hubby enjoyed the calamari and I had a spinach quesadilla. Large portions so we took home leftovers! Food was fresh and delicious and our wait person, Cici, was awesome and so helpful.
