Everything was excellent. Food keep coming. The price was outrageous. Was it worth it? If you have money for a special occasion - yes.
The food was amazing. The best food we had on the island! Worth it!
I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. We’ve been to Le Bernardin and loved everything about it so we thought Blue was going to be amazing too. My main issues are with the service, food and I felt like I was being nickel and dimed. We were there for 3 hours for no good reason other than extremely slow service. Our main waiter looked like he had 9 tables and was running around from table to table all night. It took forever to order drinks and to receive them and non of the staff seemed happy to be there. As for the food, we ordered the Blue tasting menu: the conch, halibut and the chef’s tasting in the very beginning were excellent but everything else was over cooked and bland. They used 3 red broths/sauces for 3 different courses that tasted very similar. I also ordered a salad as an a la carte menu item thinking it will be an extra $20-$25 dollars. They ended up charging me for the more expensive tasting menu instead ($135ci vs. $155ci so the salad itself ended up costing $50US). When I asked about this they said they did that because it would be more expensive to charge me for the salad alone. How can it individually be more expensive? I wanted one small salad to split with my husband. On top of that they convert the charge to US dollars using a conversion of 1.25 when it should be 1.20. Like I said, I felt like I was being nickel and dimed. There are so many amazing restaurants in a Grand Cayman with excellent service. Blue needs to step it up big time.
Amazing service and phenomenal food.
Fantastic service and innovative food
Absolutely THE most incredible meal/experience of our fine dining lives. It is NOT to be missed.
It’s like the Louvre; I am happy to have been, but am in no hurry to return.
While the food is a technical tour de force, the overall experience falls a little short. The ambiance could be described as generic upscale. An effort is made to present a luxurious experience, but there is little connection to the location on a tropical island. Based upon physical appearance, the restaurant could just as easily be at DFW or a strip mall in Orlando.
Service was attentive, even borderline obsequious, but was somehow unremarkable.
While costly, I am sure the food prices reflect superior ingredients and labor costs.
Diners who like to think about the construction of the imaginative and soundly prepared dishes will find more value than those who just want to enjoy a meal.
Overpriced and main dishes were good, but not excellent for the price.
Blue by Eric Ripert is an amazing restaurant that would not be expected in the Carribean. The service was impeccable and the food is world class. As one of the top chefs in the world Ripert will take you on a culinary journey that is unbeatable for an island setting.
My wife and I had a wonderful meal. The service was excellent and the food good.
Who knew fish could be this good! Fantastic!
Blue is A World Class Dining Experience Complimented By a First Class Staff. We Could not have been more impressed with Gabriel and Pedro who attended our every question and need promptly and professionally. The Cuisine was An International Master Piece of Flavor combined with Presentation that Is Flawless.
Exceptional in every way!
Blue was a wonderful dining experience. Close second to the fabulous Le Bernardin. A must when visiting the Ritz Carlton, Grand Cayman.
Food as well as wine pairings we’re phenomenal!
As always, Blue was spectacular! Perfect service, outstanding food, great ambiance, excellent wine. Could not be better in any way!
This is our 2nd experience here and my wife and I couldn't be happier!!! The service, the quality, the food, the wine, all of it! Never has my wife been made to feel so special at a dining experience. We can't wait to get back!
Place was freezing. Made the whole meal uncomfortable
Great place ! Only disappointment was the small child there. That is a place that should be no children! Fabulous place !
Lovely restaurant. Excellent food. Very nice service. Not Le Bernardin.
As expected. Good for every taste. Bernadine was not not that impressive as Blue.
The Blue pre fixe entree was outstanding. Table service was what you would expect from an Eric Ripert restaurant very professional. Remarkable experience
Great food great service # 1 Caribbean restaurant
Dinner was really good. However, cost was astronomical and upsell prior to tasting menu was unusual. Again, nice dining experience but not on par with final bill.
Excellent as expected from an Eric Ripert restaurant. Less uptight than Le Bernardin and while not at that level was very close. For excellent dining on Grand Cayman this is a great choice.
A truly outstanding moment. Blue is definitely not the ugly step sister to Le Bernadin. Blue stands with the best restaurants anywhere.
Service and employees were impeccable. The food was very creative and perfect we presented. The chef has created flavors that I would never have known to exist until I tried the restaurant. Be prepared to open your pocketbook, but is worth the experience.
One of the most memorable & incredible dining experiences! Fantastic!
RIP OFF ALERT!!!! Watch your bill!!!! You will be massively overcharged. We were overcharged by $100+
We ate there four nites in a row, the food was fabulous, the wait staff extremely attentive, we did a four course at the table ,
A four course out of the Blue at the bar , a three corse out of the blue at the bar , and al a carte at the bar all meals great as well as wine service
Christina , Will, and Juan the bartender the best , all the staff greeted us each nite and stopped by to say hello and welcome back..
Truly and outstanding experience..
Greatest meal and wine pairing I’ve ever had!
Service was top notch and food was amazing. A favorite among our group was the pasta with lobster, king crab and truffle butter. Out of this world!! Our server was very knowledgeable and made it a great experience. Would definitely go back!!
We have dined at Blue several times in the past, as well as at Le Bernardin many times. As always, the food was spectacular. Always something special. On this visit, however, the service left much to be desired. For Blue/Le Bernardin, that is a rare misstep, as their service often equals their food. We were seated promptly, and the waiter immediately brought over the menus. We looked at them for a few moments, and he returned and asked if we had any questions. I asked if I could see the wine list and cocktail menu. Seemed odd that I had to ask. He brought them right over, and again asked if we had any questions about the menu. As we felt somewhat rushed, we ordered a cocktail and glass of wine. He left, momentarily to put in the order for the drinks, and then returned and asked if we were ready to order. Finally, I had to say that we'd like to get our drinks, and think about the menu for a few minutes. This all occurred within the first 10 minutes of being seated. In short, we felt very rushed. Once this all got settled, the remainder of the meal proceeded at a very good pace, although we had to motion to the waiter on two or three occasions to ask for another glass of wine. The restaurant was not more that half full, so I do not believe they were looking to turn the table over. One expects better from this restaurant. We will certainly visit again when in Cayman, and hopefully, this misstep was a one-off occurrence.
Phenomenal tasting menu plus wine pairing..best culinary experience we have ever had BUT over the top expensive even for the experience. Don,t know if I have many friends who would enjoy it because of the $. Therefore, tough to recommend.
The service was impeccable, the food absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend Blue, to anyone who wants a wonderful dining experience. Be prepared, as you will pay dearly for the occasion. It is well worth every penny.
My husband and I dined at Blue while on vacation. We chose the 6 course tasting menu. Every course was amazing! Very creative, extremely fresh ingredients and delicious! My husband doesn't love seafood as much as I do however he was just as pleased with all the courses. The service was 5-star as was the wine pairing (optional / extra cost) that we chose. The presentation of each course was exquisite as well. I would highly recommend Blue for a once in a lifetime experience. The cost overall was very pricey ~$800 USD for the two of us with the wine pairings and was definitely the most expensive meal we've had to date, however it was worth it for a one time experience.
They were very accommodating and the food was spectacular. Great for any special occasion.
My wife and I enjoyed a unique and wonderful meal. We each ordered four courses from the ala carte menu, and enjoyed them all. I had the Dover Sole as my main course and it was the highlight of the meal. The fish was delicious and the accompanying sauce was extraordinary. We raved about it and were given a copy of the recipe.
The service was impeccable - all were professional, personable and friendly. It is an expensive meal, but an unparalleled experience.
