The food was fantastic and the presentation of the food was spectacular The very best of dining experiences.
Best dinner experience I have ever had . My entire family (spouse, 15 and 21 year old ) all raves about this phenomenal experience.
Must do in Cayman!
Overall a great fine dining experience which stands out in Cayman. We went there for a special occasion and had the tasting menu which was overall very well executed. As is to be expected, some dishes were more to our liking than others - the raw fish dishes were outstanding and would try more of those on the a la carte next time. The service is simply impressive.
Loved the food and our waiters were great! Michael and Pedro!
The staff was incredible— waiters, somm, hostess, even the hotel concierge who led us to the restaurant. They were engaged attentive and incredibly knowledgeable, all while being personable and funny. The food and wine were of course delicious, but it was really the service that enhances every aspect of our experience. They answered every question and accommodated every special request. What a magical meal and a wonderful memory from our first trip to the Cayman Islands. Hope it won’t be our last.
One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. Service was amazing and the food was even better.
We had an amazing experience at Blue when we celebrated our anniversary from the attention to every detail, to the fantastic food, and the impeccable service. Roxana and Rami made us feel so special. They were very professional, attentive, and friendly and made for the fabulous experience. The food cannot be described in words. You have to experience it.
Restaurant manager Christina was exceptional!
One of the most culinary and paletizing experiences of our lifetime
.....we had the Eric Ripert with the rare and vintage wine pairing...
Big time experience
A lovely special occasion treat. I was worried that most dishes would involve raw or undercooked (by my taste) fish and seafood. I couldn't have been more wrong. My favorites were the snapper ceviche, lobster and crab pasta, and the octopus. All fabulous and the desserts and chef's tastes were wonderful little treasures. If I had one complaint, it would be that some dishes were not hot enough. Other than that, it surpassed my expectations.
This dining experience is definitely in the top 5 that my wife and I have ever had. If you’re a meat and potatoes person, don’t come here. This is not a place for a meal. It is a place for the food experience. It is a place to witness the craftsmanship of the chefs to see what they are able to do with food. And then to taste their handiwork was just as magnificent. This restaurant should be a requirement when one visits Grand Cayman. Now, if I could only get into Le Bernardin.
Always top notch.
Amazing experience again. Our third time and will definitely be back!
I went with my best friend for my 40th birthday. It was the best food I’ve had, EVER!!!
We had the “Eric tasting menu with wine pairing” and each dish was simply “divine,” from start to finish. I was moved, tearful with joy and excitement during our entire dinner experience.
The service was impeccable. It was like watching ballet, as the staff seamlessly presented our meals and cleared our table for the next master piece. Each dish and wine was described to us in such a professional and eloquent manner.
The atmosphere was relaxing, smartly defined with refinement and elegance without being intimidating or over done.
It was truly a great experience!
Life changing food. The wine pairing is a must with the tasting menu
Food and service are impeccable. Diner for two...we had the tuna Foie Gras appetizer, Rose Champagne, the 6 course “Blue” tasting menu, and paired wine option with each course. Total was just over $800 US. Probably one the highest priced meals anyone would have for two people, but it lacked nothing in the realm of taste, presentation, and service. Overall it was an amazing experience!
Service was impeccable, as it’s always at any Ritz establishment. Got there after 9 and was told that last seating was at 9 but the manager conferred with the chef and extended the last seating time for us.
The menu didn’t offer many options but the food was nicely prepared. The portion size however was about 1/3 you’d get at most restaurants. My husband and I are both fit people, we don’t overeat, but thought the portion sizes to be absurdly small and overpriced.
Overall nice restaurant but if you want a better overall experience and somewhere that will satiate your appetite, go across the street to Seven instead.
The food was amazing. Had the four course meal and it was absolutely fabulous. The presentation of all the food was spectacular along with the different flavors. We were totally impressed by this restaurant. The lobster was my favorite. You can't go wrong with anything you order. Very impressed.
Hands down one of the best restaurants I've been to!
Great service, great innovative food and overall a really nice experience. It was pricey so more suitable for a special occasion but definitely worth it. They paid special attention for the birthday occasion. Would highly recommend!
Everything was excellent. Food keep coming. The price was outrageous. Was it worth it? If you have money for a special occasion - yes.
The food was amazing. The best food we had on the island! Worth it!
I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. We’ve been to Le Bernardin and loved everything about it so we thought Blue was going to be amazing too. My main issues are with the service, food and I felt like I was being nickel and dimed. We were there for 3 hours for no good reason other than extremely slow service. Our main waiter looked like he had 9 tables and was running around from table to table all night. It took forever to order drinks and to receive them and non of the staff seemed happy to be there. As for the food, we ordered the Blue tasting menu: the conch, halibut and the chef’s tasting in the very beginning were excellent but everything else was over cooked and bland. They used 3 red broths/sauces for 3 different courses that tasted very similar. I also ordered a salad as an a la carte menu item thinking it will be an extra $20-$25 dollars. They ended up charging me for the more expensive tasting menu instead ($135ci vs. $155ci so the salad itself ended up costing $50US). When I asked about this they said they did that because it would be more expensive to charge me for the salad alone. How can it individually be more expensive? I wanted one small salad to split with my husband. On top of that they convert the charge to US dollars using a conversion of 1.25 when it should be 1.20. Like I said, I felt like I was being nickel and dimed. There are so many amazing restaurants in a Grand Cayman with excellent service. Blue needs to step it up big time.
Amazing service and phenomenal food.
Fantastic service and innovative food
Absolutely THE most incredible meal/experience of our fine dining lives. It is NOT to be missed.
It’s like the Louvre; I am happy to have been, but am in no hurry to return.
While the food is a technical tour de force, the overall experience falls a little short. The ambiance could be described as generic upscale. An effort is made to present a luxurious experience, but there is little connection to the location on a tropical island. Based upon physical appearance, the restaurant could just as easily be at DFW or a strip mall in Orlando.
Service was attentive, even borderline obsequious, but was somehow unremarkable.
While costly, I am sure the food prices reflect superior ingredients and labor costs.
Diners who like to think about the construction of the imaginative and soundly prepared dishes will find more value than those who just want to enjoy a meal.
Overpriced and main dishes were good, but not excellent for the price.
Blue by Eric Ripert is an amazing restaurant that would not be expected in the Carribean. The service was impeccable and the food is world class. As one of the top chefs in the world Ripert will take you on a culinary journey that is unbeatable for an island setting.
My wife and I had a wonderful meal. The service was excellent and the food good.
Who knew fish could be this good! Fantastic!
Blue is A World Class Dining Experience Complimented By a First Class Staff. We Could not have been more impressed with Gabriel and Pedro who attended our every question and need promptly and professionally. The Cuisine was An International Master Piece of Flavor combined with Presentation that Is Flawless.
Exceptional in every way!
Blue was a wonderful dining experience. Close second to the fabulous Le Bernardin. A must when visiting the Ritz Carlton, Grand Cayman.
Food as well as wine pairings we’re phenomenal!
