Great anniversary dinner. Had the pork shank and the schnitzel. Started with the fondue. The fondue could have used a bit more wine as it was VERY cheesy. But that is really the only complaint.

We come to the Blue Boar all the time for breakfast and dinner. The food is always good. This time there were many flies in the restaurant and made the experience not very enjoyable. I just wanted to get out. They were terrible.

The service was great. Our server spent time telling us about specialty dishes and how chef prepares them. We had the braised pork shank and it was so delicious. The halibut was also really nice. Really great place to eat, we'll definitely eat here again.

We were in the Midway/Heber City area for the Labor Day weekend and had dinner here. Loved the decor inside, along with the outdoor landscaping and that European Swiss feel. Service was excellent and food was perfect.

First course was French onion soup and asparagus salad. Both very good! Then we shared the cheese fondue. That was also very good. My husband ordered the German Pork dish. He loved it. I ordered a chicken Madeira dish. The chicken was tough. But the mushroom risotto was great. I mentioned to the waiter the chicken was tough. He didn’t charge us for the chicken. So, that was wonderful.

We love the Blue Boar for breakfast and so decided to try them for dinner. Everything about our experience was perfect. We had an outside table, and the weather was perfect. The service was attentive enough but not overwhelming. The food was cooked to perfection (French onion soup, filet mignon and halibut.)

We have been to Blue Boar about 5 times over the years. The ambience and setting has always been as expected; quaint little mountain inn with a usually better than average food experience. This visit was adequate, but disappointing. We had scheduled this visit as an anniversary dinner. Never was our anniversary mentioned, nor were there any “special” accommodations regarding our seating. Just, here you go, we’re very busy tonight, and this will do. We ordered the Fondue which has always been one of our favorites. The choices for dipping were lacking; sausage, broccoli, bread and peppers. In the past the fondue had also included various cheeses, pickles, onion pearls and possibly another meat. It was tasty, but lacking. My wife and I both ordered the Filet. I asked for medium rare, and my wife ordered medium. Both meats arrived “done” and even slightly over cooked. No pink or red at all. The potatoes were fine, and the vegetables oddly enough, I had three squash turrets and my wife ended up with carrots. Very curious. For dessert we ordered the Decadent Chocolate Cake. It arrived and was more of a flourless, dense chocolate slab, no cake. So we may or may not go back based on this visit. It was adequate, but nothing special. Lacking attention to detail and a caring attitude. Not what we’ve come to expect from a high rated 5!-star? Establishment. Good luck Blue Boar!

One of my favorite dining experiences ! I wanted to offer my Hubbie a special treat for a landmark birthday, and we certainly had it. The European Hunting Lodge decor in the dining room was grand and yet comfortable. We dined inside next to a window and seating on the patio looked inviting too. Fantastic food and exceptional service.

Beautiful setting, very quaint country inn, and a fantastic dining room. Hostess and wait staff were somewhat curt and it appeared the kitchen was struggling the evening we ate there. The menu shows a very expert and insightful chef's touch. Execution just not there for us, but we are going back because of the potential. Had a wonderful stay and brunch there a year ago. Definitely recommend this place!

The fondue and French onion soup starters were amazing, but the waiter forgot to bring my drink and then we sat for at least 30 minutes waiting for our main courses. When they finally came, my pork shank was over cooked and my wife's ravioli was under cooked...

We had a fabulous evening and dinner at the Blue Boar Inn. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and able to recommend one of the rosé wines when I inquired. The bread, which is baked on site, was outstanding. Meal portions are moderate. Our fish was cooked just right and still moist with a wonderful sauce.

Such a beautiful setting and the food was just as nice. My guests and I shared the farrow asparagus salad and the burrata - both excellent We all had the trout and agreed that it was the best we’d ever had! Highly recommend- especially lunch and dining on the covered porch with the mountain views and the bounty of flower pots

My husband and I were seated on the patio with a great view of the pond. I had the salmon BLT and it was fantastic. My husband had the reuben, I had a bite and it tasty as well. Our server was attentive and friendly. This was my second time eating here and I definitely will be coming back.

We had an exceptional dinner with exceptional service with exceptional ambiance at a decent price. We live in the Park City Area and have dined at all the high end restaurants in the PC and DV area. The food at Blue Boar inn was better at half the price. The Service was above and beyond. I will one back soon.

Service was mediocre. Food was nothing special. Don't get the butternut squash soup. we didn't like it, and the table next to us sent it back. Ambience was great; quiet. Get a seat on the patio if at all possible.

We had a lovely brunch! Staff and service were unparalleled, and food was great. This is such a lovely place. Highly recommend getting out of Park City and heading to Midway which is a very short drive. You pass horse properties and homes with cool architecture.
