Excellent food. Will definitely eat here again soon
The food is always excellent. It makes going out for lunch extra special
One of my favorites in the PC area. Beautiful and delicious!!!
I took my daughter and we had a decent time. The food is very good but it seemed overpriced for what was actually served. However, the staff is very accommodating and were so responsive that the experience is worthwhile and I recommend it to anyone who wants to have a high level ambiance experience.
A fabulous experience as always. Everything was excellent, from the food to the service.
The escargot was absolutely rich, delicious, and unforgettable. The salmon was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. We had a nice little window seat. It was a great experience.
Love the place!!!!
We have never been disappointed in the Blue Boar Inn Restaurant! It is outstanding in every way.
Staff was wonderful and the food was delicious! We will be coming back again soon!!
Our family has been going to the Blue Boar for almost 2 decades. The food is just the absolute best. We have never had a bad (or even mediocre) meal at Blue Boar. the serving staff is professional and courteous, but probably not as knowledgeable or attentive as they could be. For example, I asked the server for a wine pairing and she indicated she would check with the chef. I asked her for a recommendation and she indicated she would check with the chef. This is usually the case and it does not distract from the overall experience. The chef is extremely knowledgeable and amazingly talented. In my opinion, this is the best restaurant in the state.
We’ve been dining at the Blue Boar for 15 years and can always expect excellent food, variety of dishes, fantastic service, and beautiful ambiance. It’s worth it every time.
The greeting of the Hostess, the food and the service were all very nice. We have eaten here many times and will return. We had the Duck confit appetizer, the crab appetizer, Lamb and scallops which were all delicious. The only complaint was the onion soup, the crostini was not crispy but was wheat bread and very mushy.
Best meal in Deer Valley! We went for lunch during a busy ski week and so it was pretty empty. Nevertheless it was perfect service, the most delicious food, and wonderfully charming ambiance. The mushroom ravioli, fish and chips, french dip and creme brulee were the best we’ve had anywhere.
Great location. Authentic decor. Only a few other tables during a late weekday lunch. Good COVID protocols. Delicious New England clam chowder.
Super reasonably priced for what you get on the brunch menu! The food is top notch as well! We go once a month at least because no matter what you order its guaranteed to be done to perfection. So lucky to have a place like this close to home.
Matt was our waiter . We had a fabulous experience. The dinner was delicious. Everyone was very attentive . Great stay and dining ! Thanks to Anica for all her help to make us fell welcome .
This was our pre-Valentines lunch so we decided on this restaurant. I was disappointed with the food I ordered. I asked for rolls and a covered basket of sliced bread came out, cold.
My ravioli was tough around the edges like it had been microwaved or pre frozen? My husbands dish was overly salted.
I think I was expecting above average food and received just average or below.
This is a favorite for special occasions and fine dining. We have never been disappointed with either the food or the service. Prices are reasonable for fine dining and drink and wine prices are very reasonable as well.
We appreciated the social distancing and masks and gloves for staff and felt comfortable dining under current conditions.
The space is really cute and feels like an authentic Bavarian inn (the beautiful drive up helps). The food is heavy but really delicious and comes in huge portions. The waiters were really hospitable and accommodating.
Great food that is sure to please. Lots of choices for everyone. Portions are very filling and the variety lets you explore a bit. Well worth it!
I thought this would be a great place for my "foodie" husband for his 50th birthday. Food was eh... nothing special and definitely not worth the price! The best things were the sourdough bread and raspberry cheesecake. I'm guessing those two are not made in-house. Never saw a chef or manager. After all the hype I read about the chef I expected far more than we received. Sadly, we had better food and service down the street at a "grill". Breakfast was really no better. The rosemary potatoes were outstanding, but the service was not great. People who came after us received their food before us. And we ordered from the menu, nothing special. Sadly, not what I was hoping for to celebrate my husband's birthday during covid.
Our weekend at the Blue Boar Inn was incredible. The staff was friendly, the room was cozy and clean. The food was amazing and breakfast was included both days. Really the only issue we had was the room was warm. Had the AC on in 30 degree weather. We'll definitely go back.
My finest dining experience, perhaps ever, in the US. You feel like you are in Europe as the art, music, and ambiance is definitely Old World Cosmopolitan...definitely Swiss-German. There were three of us for lunch for the first time after having been recommended to it for years. We just never got around to it. Do not miss this place...and make reservations in advance!
Loved this place! Great food ambiance no concerns
Claudia was attentive and friendly. The chicken scallipini was excellent! Don't forget the creme bruise for dessert!
This was our first time that we have eaten at the Blue Boar.. It was highly recommended to us by some friends. We will highly recommend it! :) The setting is awesome. Beautiful restaurant. We were 4 people and we all ordered something different. We were very happy with every part of the meal... The fondue, the salads, the appetizers, the mains... The dessert is the only thing that missed the mark.. We will definitley go back.
Highly recommend Blue Boar Restaurant. Food is high quality.
Food and drink were good.
Fondue could have been better. Schnitzel and Lamb Chops were great.
The Bohemiab Pilsner was good as well.
the service was excellent, the food was delicious and the ambience was perfect!
We had reviews and were very interested in trying it out. We loved it !
This is one of our favorite restaurants in the Midway area. It is always quiet, the food is always cooked perfectly and the staff is very attentive. They are one of the few restaurants that still have linen tablecloths and a special ambiance. I highly recommend it. The value of the meal is incredible. The weeknight prefix menu is a deal. 29.95 for a starter, main course and dessert. Cannot beat it. Try it!
Blue Boar is pretty much my favorite restaurant. The food is great, lots of it, great ambience and extremely safe. They now have an air purifier in the dining room in addition to the wearing of masks and temp check on arrival. The ceilings are tall and they have more than adequate air circulation. Everything is ultra clean. Even sanitized the bathroom when I left it! Just before Xmas and New Years they weren’t answering the phone probably related to covid. To say I was bummed is putting it mildly.
We like the Blue Boar Inn, but our food was a little disappointing this time.
Birthday celebration - great food, wonderful service and inspiring decor. Definitely would return.
We’ve dined at the Blue Boar Inn before, hence our return. The Inn is a great experience.
Loved everything about it and can’t wait to go back.
It was a pre-Christmas get away and everything was better than we could have hoped for honestly. The room was wonderful and the food was exceptional. I highly recommend the Blue Boar Inn and restaurant.
A pre-Christmas gift and getaway to decompress. The Blue Boar Inn is wonderful and the restaurant is tremendous. Could not have asked for a better experience.
The food was mediocre, but it is a nice locale.
We love the Sunday brunch and go several times a year. The staff is courteous and attentive. You can dress up or come in Levi's or ski gear and it all works.
