Great food, good service in the charming Ft Collins Old Town.
The food was good, but our initial impression wasn’t great. We arrived about 5-6 mins early. We had reservations...they tried to seat 3 of us at a table for 2 (one of us would have been sitting in the only walkway through the space), then put us at a weird table with all 3 of us on one side of the table on a bench. It was awkward...whoever designed their table/chair spaces and picked out the tables didn’t know how to allow enough room for the function of the space. And it wasn’t like we arrive 30 mins early and asked to be seated, we said we knew we were a “few” minutes early and would wait if needed.
Our drink order came out wrong the first time. After that, things did get better, and our food was really good.
Great meal and service
We brought out-of-town guests and were thrilled that everything was perfect. We all loved the fresh food and reasonable prices.
Wonderful food and staff.
The food was just outstanding. I'm not the biggest fan of "fusion" cuisine but this blending of Mexican and Asian was a real taste treat. We shared lobster street tacos and blackened scallops. The sides with the scallops were also very good. Fantastic food, tasty drinks and fair pricing.
Went for brunch on a Saturday, it was nice and quiet sitting out on their patio. We ordered a pineapple margarita and a bloody maria that were both really good. For food, we got their queso with chorizo which was really great and their specialty beef tacos that came out like fajitas. The beef was perfectly cooked and seasoned and it came with lots of onions and peppers. A really good meal overall. What made the experience was our super friendly server, (I wish I remembered his name)! A little on the pricey side but the food is really good and the service is great.
The food was well prepared and tasty, as was the cucumber margarita. Service was excellent.
The chili relleno with shrimp was extraordinary. It wasn't fried, but grilled.yum!
Consistent. Excellent variety on menu, great service. Nice ambiance. I often take overseas visitors to Blue Agave and they always find the food of high quality and enjoy the setting (historical building in Old Town with stylish southwestern design). I describe the menu as southwestern-Mexican-international fusion
Great food, great drinks and good service. The place was HOPPING for a Monday night, so it was pretty noisy and the server was very busy but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Love the healthy food options!
We enjoy going here! This particular night wasn’t the best - they were super busy so we waited 15 min past our reservation for our table then another 15 min before our server could get to us. Dinner took another 30 after that to arrive so an hour after we got there. BUT the server was slammed and trying hard and very friendly. We will go back... just maybe not on a Saturday.
We loved our meal! The margs were good too! The shrimp chile relleno was yummy. Friday evening is loud but fun crowd.
Slightly loud, a bit expensive, but it was very, very good!
As usual, excellent presentation of "mexican cuisine". The Carne Asada was cooked to perfection and the Surf and Turf...perfect. Loved sitting outside with the beautiful CO sky and air listening to music from a festival across the street.
Food is always amazing. My favorite FOCO restaurant.
Food was very fresh and delicious. Great service
Exquisite dining experience! Best service I've had in years. Tempting menu with a large variety of choices. I will return many times to work my way through that creative menu!
We had a wonderful lunch at Blue Agave Grill. Food was excellent and Margarita was really good. Be sure to visit the museum upstairs after the lunch. Highly recommend. Will visit again if in Fort Collins.
Wait for reservation — not very long.
Seated outside — pleasant but the table was too small.
Some in our party of 4 (3 females 2 young, 1 male) found the server a bit sullen but others pitched is to help her and were more upbeat.
Food we expected to be great was just average. The corn relish was great as was the 9 oz steak but the other main dishes were just OK and the wait was longer than we expected.
We’ll be here for a few years (CSU) and we’ll try again. Maybe it was just a combination of busy and short staffed.
all and all, it was it was very reasonably priced and really good food. we had 4 people and shared 2 orders of fajitas and it was definitely enough food. also, it was really delicious and with the fajitas, they provided great toppings that were included. the beer selection was under par, but still had those few selections that were awesome. the server was awesome too. the only thing that really bothered me is that is was SO loud. i had to struggle to understand what the people across the table were saying. so i’d suggest sitting outside, plus the outside seating is beautiful. but other than that, i’d definitely recommend and it was a good place to bring people from out of town to experience in ft collins.
The only complaint I would have is how loud it is, it reminds me of a bar somewhat. The food and service was outstanding! Will definitely come back!
Great location in old town. A little pricey for what you get. My chicken was very dry but the service was great.
We very much enjoy the food and service. Often it is a bit too loud for our liking - forget about having a conversation with more than 2 people.
Waited a very long time for our order. Over 45 minutes. Manager did a
Great job of taking care of it. Went over and above actually but this is the 3rd time in a row we’ve Waited 45 minutes
Plus for our order. Last time was over an hour. . Love the place but getting orders out of the kitchen in a reasonable amount of time needs to improve.
Took my husband here for his birthday. Our first visit and it was totally worth it! The staff was super friendly and we had a great time.
Service was good, kitchen behind as usual. Noise level in Blue Agave is unheard of! Can’t understand why it is so loud in there. Food was horrible, the steak was cut wrong and cut way to thick, second time in a row.
Never used to be this way. We are regulars and Blue Agave was definitely a family treat and favorite, not sure we will be back. So sad.
Great food. Very good waiter. One of our favorite places to eat in Fort Collins. Highly recommend it.
Everything was so great. Alex was amazing and treated us very well. I loved the margarita flight was on point.
Such fun! We sat on the patio and it was magical. Husband had tacos en Fuego and I had Top Shelf Enchiladas. Everything was delicious. We also split a tequila flight. A+ would go again!
Great food. Good servicr
Our entrees were great. Disappointed in the chips set out, did not seem fresh made but generic store bought. My husband was distracted by the TV screens everywhere, I guess it doubles as a sports bar. Overall pleased with food, drinks, and service. I would definitely go back.
Very good dinner. Met with family who haven’t been together for 5 years. Slightly noisy for an old man!
Anniversary with family. Food was delicious. Things moved slightly slower then we were expecting, but it was enjoyable all together.
I picked Blue Agave to host my company's celebration dinner because my previous experience 2 years ago was good. This time it was a disaster and I feel terrible that I brought my staff there for dinner. We started out with 1 server who talked more about himself than about what we wanted to order, he was slow to bring us drinks and slow to take our app. order. Before the apps arrived he said he was being cut and we'd get a new server. The entire time we were there the 1st server was still working, just not at our table. The apps came out and we had to request small plates. There were 4 of us and 3 apps to share. The guacamole came out and we were out of chips and salsa. We had to ask for more chips 3 times - the guac sat on the table for nearly 10 minutes before we had chips to eat it with. It was smashed avocado with maybe a touch of lime - but not enough and certainly not a single drop of salt, pepper or anything else. It was nearly 30 minutes before the server took our dinner order. He never asked if we'd like another drink, the glass that came with my prosecco was disgusting and we had to take it to the bar and ask for another because our server was missing. There was only 1 other table in our area that was occupied and it was 7pm on Sunday. The steak was chewy, the salmon was waaaay over cooked. The server never refilled our water glasses until we asked for more and the bill. So incredibly disappointing. I will never return.
Great as usual! It was great to get out and celebrate a grad program graduation and an early birthday!
Food and drink was very good. Noise level inside of restaurant was loud so we asked to be seated outside. Outside we sat nearest to the dirt area, which would have looked great if landscaped. Instead it was dirt and ragweed. Thank God none of us have allergies. The server although polite and friengly was slow and unattentive. Never once topped our water glasses off.
Last few visits food has taken over 30 minutes
