Blue Agave Club, in Pleasanton, California, offers a vast assortment of outstanding Mexican food. Some of the most popular entrees at Blue Agave Club are the sauteed mahi-mahi with cauliflower and rice, vegetarian enchiladas and enjococado, which comes from a 100-year-old family recipe. Carnitas was excellent, Margaritas are also superb with many high quality Tequilla's.

Seating is mostly outside under heaters, can be a bit cool but nice ambience.

My wife and I enjoyed a Valentines dinner together. Margaritas were excellent. My steak was tasty and my wife had several vegetarian choices on the menu. Bar was a little noisy but fun.

Love the historic building and feel of this restaurant.
My biggest disappointment was I thought the serving sizes were small for the cost, and for Mexican cuisine.

This is one of our family's favorite special occasion places, and not so special occasions! Service is always wonderful, the waiters make us feel special each time, the food is excellent, and the margaritas are fabulous!

Super over-priced for what you get. No a la carte menu whatsoever. A friend ordered a chicken enchilada and got some deconstructed awful mess resembling NOTHING like an enchilada. With that said, there are some special feature entrees that were pretty good. Again though, way too expensive. There are great Mexican options that will run you less than 1/2 of our bill.

I almost broke my toe outside on their brick walkway on the side of house/restaurant. I was obviously in a lot of pain and the manager never came by to see if I was ok the waiter seemed concerned. It just seems a little loose as far as how the run the place. I came for chili Colorado they don't have it anymore can you believe that. I had the mole it wasn't anything to write home about. I think they buy it and not make it there. The mole sauce is a long process to be excellent, there's was ok needed more characters Chen and less sauce. My wife bowl seemed kinda small for the price. I don't think I'll return.

Food was good but not good enough to make us go back after the service we got. We were sat immediately, margarita came quickly as did the food. THEN... Our table was left alone after dinner for 30 min before someone popped their head in and asked if we wanted coffee. Granted it was NYE but the restaurant wasn’t packed by any means. No excuse for paying extra attention to the table with 6 older folks and leaving us wondering if we were going to get the bill ever. Over $100 for the two of us and it was not worth it.

The food was great, but a bit overpriced. The service was great, except one of us ordered a drink that was never delivered, and it was still on our bill (easily corrected when brought to their attention). The inside dining can get quite loud; however, it was holiday party time; they were gracious and offered to moved us to a quieter table. I do love this place, mostly for the good food and the tequila menu. It is especially nice in spring & summer when you can sit outside.

On this evening, Blue Agave seating was limited to indoor dining. The food was great. The atmosphere was a little tight and loud (energetic). Pricing seemed on the upper end of moderate.

Blue Agave is our go-to place for birthday lunches! David and all the servers treat us great...with pitchers of margaritas arriving before we even order them. Needless to say, the food is fantastic, as well.

Friendly and attentive server. We were a party of 10. Limited selection on menu. A different taste of Mexican style cooking. Menu prices are higher than other local restaurants.

We visited this restaurant in summer time when menu was much larger and weather was appropriate for outdoor dining. This time, we sat inside, our server was distracted by others and not very present and the menu was much limited. My colleague's margarita was mostly tequila and mine wasn't as good as this summer either. Recommend avoiding until weather improves for outdoor seating, expanded menu and better service available.

Food is good, but my wife and I were seated in a small room filled with charming but noisy small children. Should have asked for the outside seating under the heater lamps!
