The food was exceptional and the service was very good!
This place has great food and great service weather its the Margarita or the tacos everything is fantastic and at a reasonable price. Also, I love to support a local business that supports their schools!
Great service and food
FUN ATMOSPHERE, GREAT FOOD AND SERVICE.
WILL VISIT OFTEN.
Blue Adobe Grille was awesome! Every single employee was very friendly... there are WAY too many dishes that sound delicious... and the quantity was more than enough. They start by serving you (not the normal) chips and salsa... the chips were really nice and fresh and warm... the salsa came in a largish dish and was excellent! We both ordered the halibut... very nice and perfectly cooked. The jalapeño hollandaise sauce was fabulous! A bit spicy, but in a good way, and didn't overwhelm the halibut. The shrimp enchilada that came with this dish was also fabulous!
The only thing I would change next time is to not order an up martini there. Nothing wrong with the martini, but it wasn't overly large, yet the price was still up there. (Yes, I know, margaritas are great with southwestern spicy food, but an up gin martini sounded wonderful.)
We're somewhat new to the area and exploring restaurants near us. We will definitely be back to Blue Adobe!
Poor table for two against a wall in the path of scurrying servers. Surly and brusque server. No refills of water or tea. Price of meals double compared to similar restaurants. Disappointing experience in all respects. You're better off at Taco Bell.
Always wind up here when I come into town. A must try!
From the moment we walked in the front door, we were impressed, once again. The hostess (a long-time employee) greeted us with a smile and set the stage for another great family meal. Michael, the owner, made his rounds shortly thereafter, making us feel very welcome. Houston, our server, then took over and simply nailed it with his easy-going style. And of course, the food was the hit of the night. Every dish we had was spot on with bold flavors, fresh ingredients, and unique twists on favorites. And don't let the strip mall exterior fool you. This place is the real deal.
Let the restaurant know in advance this was for a family Birthday dinner and they had the table decorated festively when we arrived. Servers were helpful and friendly. They were happy to adjust menu items for our kids tastes and comped my husband’s margarita for his birthday since we declined dessert. Overall a nice dinner that was reasonably priced and casual.
Very good high quality food as usual.
Not your typical south west Mexican restaurant .
Very unique dishes with a definite southwest flair. I opted for the blue corn cheese enchiladas with the Christmas Chili . Although it wasn’t quite as good as my favorite Santa Fe restaurants it was still spicy and satisfies my craving. Their salsa is delicious as was their chunky guacamole.
Outstanding in every respect great food, well priced and very authentic. Rellanos were delicious as were the Christmas enchalladas.
Modela Especial draft was flat and tepid. Midori margarita was light on tequila. The Malbec was good and s generous pour.
Christmas stack was good but light on beans, heavy on rice.
Double barrel chicken enchilada were boring and bland.
The help can't be any nice or more genuine. They had music also that was terrific. The salsa is the best as well as the Lobster dip! Entrees came out perfectly and everyone was pleased. We took friends that had never been there and they Loved it!
Birthday dinner with boyfriend. Decorated table was a nice touch/surprise. Complimentary dessert was generous. Food is excellent and staff efficient without being intrusive. Wonderful evening.
We sat in the bar...on a Friday night...LIVE ENTERTAINMENT...hence the noise level. The music was good and the FOOD was GREAT! Out server, Shelby, was EXCEPTIONAL...very helpful with our questions. They have been in business for 14.5 years now...and we have been with them for about 12 of those years...through the recession and beyond. So good to see a local restaurant succeeding after going through the thin times of the recession and now really FLOURISHING! Michael, the owner, always makes you feel welcome and special! Thanks BLUE ADOBE GRILLE!
We love the Blue Adobe. We drive up from Ahwatukee just because it is so good!
This is the first restaurant we visit when in Scottsdale. Food is excellent and the staff is very attentive. No disappointments in any of the meals or appetizers!
I requested bar seating and they had the table waiting. Great service, accommodating and delicious food! Plentiful too.
Been going to this local favorite for eight years- owner Mike Savoie and his team always do a great job
Was looking for southwest/mexican food. From Texas, so generally fairly picky in this area. BAG came highly recommended. Unfortunately, the results were just ok. Nothing was necessarily bad, but nothing was exceptional or really even good. It checked the box for southwestern cuisine, but overall flavor was lacking (guac was watery, salsa overly smokey, margaritas average) and for the price disappointing.
We really enjoy this restaurant - HOWEVER, that being said, please put the garlic shrimp pinenut appetizer BACK on the menu. THey used to make it as a pizza and it was on the menu, they now removed their pizza oven and took it off the menu. If you ask the waitress, the kitchen can make a similar appetizer (we order this as our meal) using the tortilla like they use on their cheese crisp. THey then put the cheese, garlic, shrimp and pinenuts on top and cook it. ITS DELICIOUS!
If enough people ask for it they will put it on their menu again, and rename it since its not on pizza dough anymore, but like we say, using the tortilla instead.
The food is always good but sometimes the wait for seating/service is a little long.
The food was delicious, as it has always been when we've dined here! However, the band started playing at 7:30 and the singer was loud and shrill. Brought our table's conversation to a standstill. Luckily, we were nearly done with our main course, so the evening wasn't a total bust. The food is great here...we'll just schedule dinner to avoid the live music next time. :-)
We consistently receive great food and excellent service with every visit. One of my favorite restaurants.
Great place with a menu selection for every taste.
Excellent quality, great margaritas, large portions. Excellent service ! Dined outside on a warm night with misters making it very comfortable.
A dichotomy of palatability. The lobster cheese dip was EXCEPTIONAL, incredibly awesome. The Mac&cheese was also tasty/delicious/amazing. Chips were delectable: corn and especially flour (Flour? It will surprise you how addicting these are, how they add to the taste of any dip) Now the unusual: the salsa had an unusual aftertaste/ the guacamole was unusually bland/ the mango salsa was spiced in a way which very overpowering with mango piece which were not ripe (don’t know if this unripe mango is “bad,” just unusual). Excellent, prompt and friendly service. Great place, but just unusual in terms of the common things and exceptional at the extraordinary.
My family and I just love Blue Adobe! We can’t say enough great things about them!
Amazing food! Nice patio seating as well. Must have the chefs plate if your first time visit!
Food was delightful - we sat on patio which was nice but the patio chairs and tables would earn a ‘1 star’ - very uncomfortable over all.
We were seated quickly inside and then we decided we’d rather be outside... so... they moved us to a nice table outside. Our server was really great...quite personable and efficient. Our food was EXCELLENT!
Mother’s Day, it was our first time and the food was very good. Being from NM, I was pleased to see blue corn tortillas used for my enchiladas. My only wish would be to see green chile used more liberally. Our waiter was pleasant and attentive while the ambience was relaxed. We will be back.
This was our first visit to the restaurant. We enjoyed the Santa Fe style options. Everything we ordered was delicious. The crab cakes were tasty, and even the chicken tacos were outstanding! My husband ordered the seafood kabobs and he thought it was spiced perfectly, and was cooked just like he expected.
The waiter was very attentive and made the experience a good one for us. We’ll be back!
We wanted a great brunch for Mother’s Day, so we chose to eat here. The food was delicious (as it always is), and we got free mimosas and desserts for the occasion. I’ve tried many different items on the menu, and they’re all fantastic. Very unique southwestern menu!
Amazing food, great attentive staff and loved the weekend brunch!
Was disappointed in the food and value
I had been there previously and the food was better
Loved this place - mentioned it was a BD Celebration & they had the table set with tablecloth & confetti to put everyone in a festive mood! Food was delicious, (especially recommend the crab cakes!) dessert was amazing & overall we thought it was a great value - we'll DEFINITELY Be back!!
We had not been back for a while and had the tacos that were outstanding. Great Salsa also! Highly recommend.
Perfect restaurant for our birthday celebration.
