Authentic New Mexican food plus a selection of four corners specialties and a few from Mexico and Spain. Extremely tasty and well done.
We ate here recently and were pleased to see that they've made a few additions to the menu. We definitely already have several favorites (they are so good), but it's good to have something new to try. The portions are very ample and the prices are reasonable for the quality. The service is always very good, being friendly and efficient. And overall, this is one of favorite restaurants in all of Scottsdale.
All around excellent
My wife and I went here after confusing another restaurant with the Blue Adobe. We first went to the Blue Agave and after glancing at their very limited menu, we realized we were in the wrong place. We hurried to the correct location and our expectations were met when we glanced at the very extensive menu. There is something here for everyone and the place was packed - proving the point. The service and food were outstanding and the selection was huge. Portions were big enough to take home half for the next day. I love spicy food, so I was in Heaven when I took my first bite. I ordered the "47 Ranch" which has a selection of a shredded beef enchilada, pecan crusted chicken taco, and my favorite - the carne Adovada Burro. Everything was delicious. We also ordered guacamole to go with the chips. I was a bit surprised when the bill for the guacamole came - $9.00 - wow. But all in all, I loved the atmosphere and the food. I also had a Cadillac Margarita - really delicious. Great place to get New Mexico style food for very reasonable prices.
Excellent service by waitress Allie
Very attentive and pleasant !
Food was good - guacamole a bit pricey @9$ and little presentation.
Lighting too too bright - made us feel like we were eating at Cracker Barrel
Love everything about Blue Adobe - food was super, atmosphere wonderful and our server Nick was right on target!
Interesting, large menu with Southwest flavor. Good service. My "Killer" margarita didn't taste like anything. I didn't feel any buzz, either. The virgin mango margarita was mostly ice. I ordered a 'lite' (small) dish and the proportion was fine for me. My friends who ordered 'entrees' got a LOT of food. The food tasted good but not impressively flavorful. The sopapilla was a real disapointment. But the ambiance was very good -- comfortable environment, not noisy and attentive service. Easy location to get to, parking was OK.
Great food and live music
It was a gem. Recommended by highly by Open Table and they were right.
We really enjoyed it so much and will be back even tho it is a long drive from 24th and Camelback!!
Its really hard to find a nice quiet place to meet up with a friend or go on a date and be able to chat, to be able to hear each other. I asked the waitress for a quiet seat and she sat us in a very quiet area which was absolutely perfect. The waitress was very lovely. The service was excellent. Every person who came to help us was friendly, happy and helpful. The variety of Margaritas was great. I had a prickly pear Margarita and liked it more than any I have had anywhere else in the valley. We also had the Lobster Con Queso and it was really excellent, my new fav appetizer. There was live music on a little later which added to a great evening. I had never heard of Blue Adobe before and went there totally by chance but I certainly was very pleasantly surprised. Absolutely perfect.
Best corn chowder in the universe. Service fast. Food all prepared fresh and delicious.
Very good food and service!!
Fabulous service with extremely friendly hostess and waitress. Wonderful menu with dishes not available in similar restaurants. My new favorite southwestern place to eat. YUMMMM!!!!!
We have been eating at Blue Adobe for 15 years. It has been consistent over that period, which is something that many places cannot boast of.
The menu is quite extensive and it offers a wide range of New Mexican cuisine. their chips and salsa are a cut above those at many other restos, and you have to be careful not to fill up on them and the guacamole, which is tasty. One of my favorites is the carne adovado and my wife's standby is the fish tacos.
It is hard to go wrong here. The live music on Thurs., Fri., and Sat. is an added appeal.
We're from the Carolina's so we were looking for some really good Mexican food. After we were seated at the table by the hostess, no waiter came over. It was a Sunday night and the restaurant was half empty. Eventually they got us our waiter - we weren't bothered at this point. We had been backpacking all weekend and were really hungry, so ordered an appetizer, the Dippity Do Dah. Time passed, the waiter came over looking perplexed and asked if someone had given us the dip. Well, there was none on our table, so no. Apparently another waiter took our dip. We finally got the appetizer and after 5 minutes my partners Posole came out and then our dinners - so all our food arrived at once! Not exactly the way it should be.
Our food was just OK - nothing great. My partner said the posole was extremely good though - probably the best he's ever had. I had the Ocean Front dish. Crab cake taco and shrimp relleno were really good. The lobster tamale just tasted like corn meal with raspberry jam.
Not the first time dining at Blue Adobe and never disappointed. Great friendly service and great food with creative menu. The multicolor chips and salsa are fantastic and I had the crab cakes soft tacos which were very savory. We had a really good time there and I cleaned my plate. The live music adds to the already festive atmosphere of a sports bar with delicious food.
Our service was great and the food was delicious! Margaritas were quite good as well. A bit overpriced but still good.
We were seated just as I had requested. We had a great waitress and the staff is so kind there. We loved our food. They made accommodations with the lettuce for the New Mexican Caesar and it was still delicious. (romaine is off limits now). Their salmon is always great as is their salsa. And, for a really great treat, order the Lobster dip!
Always consistory great food and service. Blue Adobe is always our first choice!
We've eaten here a number of times and the food is ALWAYS excellent and often unique. We never hesitate to return.
Great food, great service!
The food was fantastic. We all ordered something different and none of us was disappointed. Our waitress Kaelah couldn’t have been any cuter.
Blue Adobe has very good southwestern cuisine with a New Mexican flair. They have good service, a great patio, and excellent food. The prices are reasonable. Reservations are recommended on weekends.
Hard to choose off of a very interesting menu.
Settled on the chorizo stuffed chicken breast, which was excellent, which I will reverse engineer.
Wanted Tex Mex food and stumbled upon this New Mexican Southwest that was excellent. Many attractive items on the menu made it difficult to choose just one!
The food was good and the atmosphere was lively at both inside and outside seating. The live music talent was very good but too loud for comfortable conversation inside the restaurant area. When making the reservation they asked if it was an 'occasion' and we noted 'celebration'. Not sure why the question was asked as there was nothing different in the service, etc.
We frequently choose to dine at Blue Adobe when visiting relatives or friends come to town or when family is celebrating a birthday, anniversary or Mother's Day. The service, ambiance and food is always top-notch!
LOVED our experience at the Blue Adobe!! Food was outstanding, service very attentive but not cloying, had fun with the flight if Margaritas! And as "first timers" we were treated to a sample of both their red and green sauces, as well as a sample of their Adobo (dark, earthy sauce, super tender pork). Terrific experience!!
Not as advertised Tealky is a sports bar Too loud Description days “smart casual” S/B “just got out of bed”
Both of their locations are great I had thought just for a moment to post a bad review because I don't want a lot of people to find out about this Hidden Gem and then it will be busy and I won't be able to get in when I want to. You won't be disappointed.
This restaurant is one of the few places that is managed well. The personal are well trained to meet the customers needs, and are personable, and friendly. A great local gathering place, that serves good food. Mike is an hands on great guy. You need to give this restaurant a try.
Food was terrific, wide range of flavors. I had the signature meal, which I really enjoyed. The corn chowder, apparently ranked best in Phoenix magazine, deserves the title. It was astonishingly terrific. I just wish they served it by the vat.
We were looking for Southwestern cuisine and this place does not disappoint. They had great flavor combinations like jalepeno hollandaise sauce on my spice rubbed halibut. They also had an amazing portabella enchilada in an ameretto cream sauce that was to dye for on my wife's plate with her filet mignon that was cooked to perfection.
I did not care for the food, maybe too spicy for me.
food is amazing, generous portions too. The wait staff is always friendly
Not a fan of the strip center the restaurant sits in front of but other than that ambiance was good. Food was good. Drinks were good. Dessert was good.
Always great food ... just a tad bit overpriced on their New Mexico dishes ... $18 enchiladas are a bit pricey. But the food is great!
Food was delicious. Service - so friendly and fun too! My daughter and I celebrated our birthday and were surprised to get a delicious free desert! The employees here are the best! Caring and fun. They remembered we like bar seating and alerted us about a perfect table just opening up.
Today’s visit was to try the Friday special Fish and Chips. Blue Adobe did NOT disappoint!! Definitely a must try if fish and chips are on your list!
Wonderful service, very tasty food would highly recommend it
