Great food, Wonderful service. All the staff who visited our table was courteous, friendly and heart felt. I highly recommend the Blue Adobe Grille is a must stop by place in Scottsdale!
The decor takes the diner to old Mexico, or at least New Mexico with the Santa Fe decor. However, the Excessive use of spices compete and overwhelm the palette.
We were looking for a Mexican Restaurant so we decided to try Blue Adobe Grill after reading favourable reviews. We were NOT disappointed, dinner was great! Make sure you try The Margarita ‘s ... Our waitress was absolutely fantastic, she knew the menu inside & out. A local musician was also there to add to the fun.
Innovative menu, great flavors, excellent service. Chicken, beef and pork dishes were all succulent and each had their own unique wonderful flavor. Nice selection of Margaritas. As first time diners we appreciated the manager stopping by our table. Will definitely return. Opt for the patio.
very good original food. My wife and I love the New Mexican flare. She really likes the Christmas stack and the pork tenderloin. I love the last nights meatloaf and the hamburger.
This is the 3rd or 4th time I've been to Blue Adobe and plan to go back again. Drinks are inventive and well made. The seafood-based dishes are fantastic and the New Mexican cuisine is not to be confused with Sonoran. Very different but delicious taste profile. Highly recommend
I don’t know why I waited so long between visits to this place. Every meal there is always exceptional in every way and this time did not disappoint. I had the filet with jalapeño hollandaise and pasta that melted in my mouth. My friend had the chorizo chicken and wouldn’t share! Service by Daniel was attentive but not rushed -perfect. Great wine choices, too. I truly love this place and understand how it’s been so popular year after year.
Once again another amazing meal, this time shared with friends who were there for the first time. Everyone loved their meals, the service was fantastic, what more can you ask for?
The food is delicious and the service is usually good.
We would have liked the option to book a patio table through Open Table. We got there a bit early and ended up waiting for almost an hour at the bar (not necessarily a bad thing) for patio seating. The meal was great - servers were very attentive. Would go back but would call in the reservation next time.
Food was well presented. Service was great. The outdoor dining was very comfortable.
We have eaten at Blue Adobe several times and just can’t get enough. I tried the stacked enchiladas and the chili rellenos. My husband had the combination plate. They were absolutely delicious. There are many Mexican restaurants in No. Scottsdale but this stands out with an original cuisine.
Food was great, ambiance so-so. The tenderloin relleno was very good, but the beans and rice were boring. Like their red sauce better than the watery green, but the best was the salsa that came with the chips...thick and yummy.
We were seated promptly and our server greeted us within a minute. Very good service, food was tasty, one of our burgers was a bit too charred but otherwise all entrees were delicious. Manager stopped by our table to check on us. We’ll be back again when we visit!
My husband and I were visiting on vacation and stopped in for lunch. The food was excellent and the waitress attentive.
Server was new it was obvious, took out of town guests they felt the same!
Visited Blue Adobe Grill on our last day of vacation. What a nice spot. The service was excellent out on the patio and the food was delicious. Lobster Queso dip was a great start and very filling so we got to take the rest of our lunch leftovers home to enjoy later.
This is one of our favorite places to visit when we are in town on vacation. Food is excellent! Last night’s favorites were the bean dip and crab cake tacos. Great value on the tacos because it was Taco Tuesday as well. Great service and atmosphere too.
The food is very flavorful without being overly spicy. In addition to the yummy homemade salsa that comes with the free tortilla chips, they provide sides of red sauce and green sauce for the table to use as condiments as desired to your taste. Everything was freshly prepared and portions we're generous.
Great service and food. Relaxing meal. Fun environment
Very enjoyable. Service was outstanding. We sat outside on the patio Food was great. Chips and roasted salsa are the best!
Staff was friendly and helpful with recommendations, although it was busy so the service wasn’t as attentive as it could have been. Food was excellent, and the servings were large. Can’t beat the Taco Tuesday special for $7.50 - great value! They also have an awesome margarita flight with 3 different types. Reservations were easy on opentable, even made a last minute change with no problem. Great place for Tex Mex!
A comfortable and enjoyable place.....plus always GREAT food.
Listed as one of the best Mexican places in the Phoenix area. Certainly worth the trip. Large portions, so plan accordingly.
Food and service always great - but the chairs on the patio have seats that are
curved downward causing severe pain on hip bones unless you are a very small'
skeletal person. Need to get more comfortable chairs!
Also, please bring allow the old option for your stacked enchiladas to be beef,
carne, or chicken. Thanks!
Good food. Huge portions. Nice setting.
The evening was excellent from seating through the entire evening. The owner and manager stopped to check on us. Our friend had a birthday, and we all were surprised with her complimentary dessert.
Sushi was fantastic!
The food was very good and the portion size was huge. We ate outside on the patio which being from Chicago is impossible in March. The place was busy but noise level was except able for having a conversation. We enjoyed our dinner here.
Great food and Great service. Perhaps a tad overpriced for enchiladas, but delicious.
Mexican restaurant with good home cooked items on the menu.
Had a great lunch with friends after church. Sat on the patio to enjoy the nice weather. It is quieter there than in some areas of the restaurant. Three people had the Lazy Tacos with a mix of crab cake tacos, salmon tacos and pork adovado tacos. All three of them loved their choices. I had the portobella mushroom enchiladas with the amaretto cream sauce. Yummy! I like the fact that you get fresh veggies instead of beans with this dish. All plates had rice as well which is very tasty. As always, we loved the smokey salsa that they serve with the chips before the meal. Our server was very good and friendly. We like to bring out of town guests here for a nice SW meal.
We've been vacationing in the Scottsdale area for 8 weeks, eating out on a regular basis. This is, by far, the best restaurant we've visited. The food is absolutely amazing and the service excellent. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Mexican food.
The food is always good and the service also good. New menu very hard to read. They deleted a very nice seafood appetizer from the new menu. We went with the standard guacamole and a new item, bean dip, both were good but the price very high for the portion size $9 ea for about a cup.
Great experience. Food, service were fantastic! Our server was extremely knowledgeable. Ambience was fine. Had heard good things, but the meal and service exceeded expectations.
We were in town from Detroit to visit my wife's relatives, her elderly aunt, her cousin from New York and brother from Kansas. I made a reservation for 6:30 on Friday, and asked for a quiet table, because I know they have great music. They gave us a table at the end of a wing which could not have been quieter. We were very happy.
Always an excellent choice for a casual dinner with friends.
We have eaten here many times on past visits to area. Perhaps we have eaten lunch. Thought dinner prices were several dollars over value. Our young waiter was friendly but was unfamiliar with specifics of menu. That said, he went to get information for us. Bar service was a bit slow but cant fault waiter for that.
Love love love this place. It’s in our top 3!! I would recommend Blue Adobe to anyone.
First time at this restaurant. Great atmosphere. Food and service were excellent. Jimmy Crack Corn Crab Cakes were outstanding!!!!! The greens on the plate with the crab cakes were so delicious. For entrees we had the salmon, chimichanga, pork tenderloin and the Ocean Front seafood combo platter. All were great. Portion size was large. The lobster tamale on the seafood combo was to die for!!!! The raspberry chipotle sauce on the tamale and the pork tenderloins was so good. Definitely going back. Lots more on the menu we want to try. Almost forgot, the chips and salsa were great too!!!
