Blue Adobe Grille - Scottsdale Ratings and Reviews
Nice Southwestern US, New Mexico theme and cuisine. We sat outside during a perfect Phoenix AZ evening. The food was good, the ambiance friendly. We gave the service a poor mark because our server didn't know the menu and there were unexcused delays. Maybe it was the server's first day on the job?
Sat outside. Didn't realize that the parking lot would be so close, although not a complete deal breaker. Some kids at the table next to us climbed back and forth over the fence which was distracting and unnecessary. Food was delicious. Service was good; server told one guest that no cheese on a dish may not be an option because the kitchen was busy. Kitchen should never be too busy to accommodate a guest request. Overall the experience was very good. Will come back next time we are in AZ.
We have dined here several times and love the outdoor patio. I had requested outdoor for our reservation but upon arriving was told we could not sit there because it was not reserved for outdoor dining. I am not sure if this was the restaurant's error or open table error. Regardless, it was very disappointing.
Blue Adobe always pleases. The food is original and delicious. Service is friendly and helpful. The outside seating I requested and confirmed on Open Table was not available upon arrival, despite a phone call ahead to confirm. The receptionist indicated that they did not receive the request......really? This is a big deal at Blue Adobe since on Saturday night there is entertainment inside and it is loud.....not right for our group. The Manager made best efforts to make amends. I'll give them another try.
New Mexican fare. Interesting spice palate. Lots of allspice. Excellent service, very friendly. Margaritas are basically dilute Kool-aid with no noticeable tequila. We had 3 different kinds, but all tasted the same just a different color. I can recommend here other than the margaritas.
My husband and I have been here several times and this was by far our best dinner yet! We started with the lobster dip which is always good. My husband had the "Jala Holla" steak and I had the "Land of Enchantment." Both were amazing! The beef on both were cooked to order and perfect. We were too full for dessert but enjoyed our meals immensely.
Several hostesses at the desk. They didn't seem to check the reservations, and placed hubby inside when I specifically asked for an outside table. This led to a bit of a conference with the hostesses, while we waited. Not necessary. Consult the rsvp and the notes before seating a patron.
We've eaten here a lot because it is the best Southwestern food in the Scottsdale area. We've tried a lot of different items on the menu, and we've never been disappointed. This time I wasn't very hungry, so I just wanted an appetizer for my meal. I had the Jimmy Crack Corn Crab Cakes, and they may have been the BEST crab cakes that I've ever had! There were four cakes that were nice and firm, slightly spicy, filled with crab and covered with a crispy panko crust. Of course we had started with chips, salsa and guacamole, so this was plenty for my dinner.
