Blue Adobe Grille - Scottsdale Ratings and Reviews
Overall was a solid New Mexican dinner with authentic cuisine options like carne adobada and green/red chile sauces. There are better options for a nicer dinner setting maybe with less noise (the bar and televisions were in direct view of the dining room). There was live music playing that night, which is okay but somewhat makes a less quiet atmosphere. Overall a great place to eat, but not somewhere for a more special occasion.
We are regular customers at Blue Adobe Santa Fe Grille in Scottsdale. A visit with houseguests or newcomers always includes a trip to Blue Adobe, and it never disappoints. Delicious food!! The owner and his staff are welcoming and friendly, and the service is always terrific. Live music is always great too! We live nearby, but if not we would make the drive. My husband and I highly recommend Blue Adobe!
The building was nicely designed with a southwest style and clean looking. The staff was nice and fast. We were looking for good southwest/Mexican food with spicy and fresh tasting meat and veggies but instead got a cheap taste of Italian food. My Hatch garlic shrimp has a dozen nice shrimp but cook in cheese with pasta. I can't taste anything but cheese!!! my guest got the steak and pasta and the pasta is just overwhelmed with cheese!
In all, this was an average outing if only the food is more southwest and less Italian.
Great New Mexican cuisine that has a more appropriate Arizona regional feeling vs the typical Tex-mex joint. It's a lively scene in the evening with a nice patio that has heaters and also a few stools for outside seating at the bar. Service by management and staff makes you feel like a family member. Make sure you book a table as it is ever more popular restaurant especially on live entertainment nights.
Really enjoy this local restaurant, and its cuisine. The food is always fresh, but the service is really great! We always ask for Ms. Dana, who is experienced, knows the menu well, provides expert advise, and is truly professional.
Even though management seems to change frequently, the service level is maintained and slight changes to the the menu.
The prices have stayed affordable for a couple or family, they provide gift 🎁 certificates, parking can be tight after 6:30, so book early! If you haven't tried this place yet, it's a got'ta!
We love this restaurant! We've been coming often for several years, so we were pleased to find out that they've made some changes to the menu. They still have all of our old favorites, but now there are some new favorites. The food and service are great! And they often have live music in the bar that you can enjoy while in the dining room. This is the best restaurant for this type of food anywhere in the area.
We visited at 2 pm after a tour of the Frank Lloyd Wright property nearby. We sat inside because it had gotten chilly and shady on the patio. We were given a nice booth by the windows, away from a loud group of women in the other room. A man turned the AC up a bit when he noticed that I was cold, which was very nice and also rare. Lauren was our waitress and she was terrific. We loved our food, mahi mahi tacos and halibut enchiladas. The salsa was delicious as well and seemed to be made of eggplant. All in all, it was a wonderful lunch. We will return on our next trip to Scottsdale.
